#2 This is the latest of several news items about western Paks rising up against Taliban and foreign forces(Al Qaeda). They must believe that the government will stand behind them. This is very good news, indeed!

#4 The only caveat being that sometimes the villagers are fighting back purely for local reasons: for example, the Talibs were taking too much interest in the local wimmin.

I'm still pleased that the villagers are fighting back.
