#1 One need only think for a moment of other regimes which burnt books in order to gain a solid appraisal of what this means. Let's look at the short list: Nazis, Communist China and now Islam. Anyone sensing a pattern here? Never have I seen so large of a "faith" with such an eggshell-thin collective ego or so little faith in its own durability. Islam's resilience is so insubstantial that merely rubbing up against reality leaves it raw and bleeding. The collision of civilizations that has yet to come can only prove catastrophic for such an utterly vulnerable collection of petty religious bullies.

It seems that it is just the 1984 list and doesn't contain any of the newer books (notably Robert Spenser's books or Hirsi Ali's book).
