#2 The role of the citizen in participating in the Republic has been diminished tremendously during the last years. The arrogance shown as the result of the IRS hearings is astounding. Like Obamacare, the statement was made to the people: "We are going to pass this legislation whether or not you want it by damn." You don't have to read it--it doesn't matter. We will pass it with raw power." It is obvious, this administration wielded the IRS as a tool to beat down enemies who would oppose the last election. The effects were chilling on these conservative groups and supporters. Its time for a special prosecutor--and not some damn political hack.

Not a lawyer, but from my understanding, one advantage of a Special Prosecutor is he can offer immunity for testimony. Gets around that "I did nothing wrong but I'm taking the Fifth" stuff and makes it easier to flip low-level players.

#7 We exiled ourselves inwards. We cancelled all our newspaper subscriptions. We stopped listening to the radio and stopped watching television. For a long time we tried at least to listen to and watch the news. But finally we couldnt manage to. We couldnt stand hearing the lies. It became more and more clear that the journalists main ambition wasnt to tell the truth but to hide it.

Wow. She just nailed the way I feel. It's kinda depressing, you know, when you can't sit down and watch the evening news anymore. Everyone in your family is watching. Everybody, everywhere is watching and then they read that newspaper full of lies too. So I have a drink and go sit on the patio. It's nice out there.
