#1 The CSS Hunley under the command of Lt. George Dixon was the first submarine to sink an enemy warship in combat.

On February 17, 1864 the CSS Hunley sank the USS Housatonic off Sullivans Island, Charleston, South Carolina. The CSS Hunley itself never returned. This feat would not happen again until World War One - fifty years later.

#3 Not sure mocking articles about people calling in suspicious things they think might be a threat are sensible...

#4 BP, people who can't or won't think critically should always be mocked.

#6 There has been a rash of reports of abandoned pressure cookers in the past few days, Bright Pebbles. In these troubled times people are not worrying about a bit of mockery from the byways of the internet.

#7 Well that's good.

When I see something I call it in. I ran across some abandoned luggage on the tube. Got away, talked to the station controller, tube station closed, and some idiot got their luggage blown up.

Considering how near after 7/7 it was I have zero sympathy.
