#1 And the Battle for kind of Global Govt., kind of Global -ISM, and whom gets to dominate the same, goes on. Iff the Lefties get their way, it won't be America and Western democracy, and as illustrated by America's sinking of the Navy's USS AMERICA this AM, the Left has no qualms getting or inducing America and Western democracies to create Empire and OWG, or to destroy themselves, as long it results in AMERICAN DEFEAT and ANTi-AMERICAN, MACKINDRIAN/ASIAN-CENTRIC FINAL Socialist and Communist GLOBAL victory. The Left is gonna kill America no matter how many concessions America makes for peace.

#3 Not sureI understand Joe's rant, but I love the idea of cutting off dues entrely. Maybe they couldrent some space in France I hear they need a boost to their economy. Of course this will never fly because the GOP had turned into a Gang Of Pussies.

There, that's better.

#5 Barb, ponder and meditate on "unless it reforms".

Do you think it is even remotely possible?

See, neither do I. Everybody knows. It is just a figure of speach.

#6 Another crack in the wall, another seed planted, more exposure of the sham. Better yet, it's rational and prudent and will be very hard to argue against, given the available evidence. It is in our interests, just as it should be. This may have a better chance than it first appears - the initial knee-jerk phase. That it might "reform" to the point where the institution would ever be more than an Int'l Den of Thieves and "Legitimate" snake-pit of ankle-biting, back-stabbing, duplicitous adversaries is a joke, of course. The UN has been a huge dead rat on our kitchen floor for a long long time, already. But I appreciate Hyde sticking this crowbar in the cell door and putting his (considerable) weight behind it. We'll get out of this self-imposed prison cell sooner because of this.

"However, he [Mark Malloch Brown, Esq] added that withholding dues 'separates you from your allies because it’s seen as America acting alone.'”

Lol. This is supposed to trigger the "unilateral" knee-jerk freakout, and probably will - in the dimly lit corridors of LLL-Land. Bite me, Brown. Since we're talking about our money, our support, our interests, we SHOULD be acting alone, unilaterally, to determine our course of action - sans interference. Who else, pray tell, should be involved? Jan England? ROFL! Yewbetcha.

#7 Marxists spend their lives studying and specializing in fomenting revolutions. Trust them when they fear the first one who steps out of line and questions the colletive wisdom: He is acting unilaterally. They fear the single man who suddenly ACTS to stop the insanity that everyone else is too terrified to contemplate: He MUST start the revolt by acting unilaterally. The first voice to speak out, the first one who says, "No", is always acting unilaterally, and thus is the threat that must be stopped.

They, and their heirs, the communists, KNOW that situations can be bad in an area, making the populace ripe for revolution. They send in revolutionaries IN ORDER TO BE THE FIRST TO SPEAK OUT AND ACT. Men and excitated atoms in a laser can be charged up and unleash a enormous amount of energy, but are held back, UNTIL THE FIRST ONE DISCHARGES. Then the entire crystal fires, the entire nation goes up in flames.

Watch how crowds act: they kinda feel held back, restrained, fearful of doing anything because they are unsure of each other, until the FIRST person speaks out, shouts a rebel yell, says, "THIS IS BULLSHIT!", breaks ranks, faces down the offenders, SHOWS COURAGE. His excample gives courage to the next to step out, and then the next.

These assholes always fear the first one. They have GOOD REASON to fear.

#9 All caps, definitely, TGA, but Ptah will never suffer from Mendiolitis (love the neologism!).

#10 Germany was kicked out of the League of nations in 1933, this will be a good excuse to kick the USA out of the UN. The USA very rarely pays its dues in any case.

#13 Please do kick us out -- the U.S. pays some 25% of the U.N.'s income, as I recall. And I wonder how Japan would feel about such a thing? As I recall, Japan is the second largest donor to the U.N., after the U.S., followed by Germany... I can't imagine either country would be very pleased at having to make up the lost dues.
