#1 How pathetic that we can't even get straight news and basic facts from our own media outlets. China's state media, Indian media, even Russia Today provide more objective, balanced and accurate reporting than the American and British news outlets.

#6 I read through the text at #4 and found it to be exactly what the poster said: balanced and accurate. They presented the Russian view, and then presented the Ukrainian view, fairly and concisely, with no attempt to slant the story. It doesn't use any inflammatory language. It just recites facts; it's reporting the way it used to be done.

What exactly about those sentences Is not balanced or accurate?

Great news. Finally a lasting peace settlement is in sight.

This is the time to start serious talks and bring this foolishness to a conclusion. Putin has achieved what he wanted: Ukraine in ruins, the entire Azov Battalion exterminated or in Russian custody, and complete control of the southern land bridge to Crimea. Now his tanks and troops need to exit the rest of Ukraine.

This is the time to make the best bargain Ukraine can possibly hope for: withdrawal of all Russian troops in all areas West of the Donbas and not bordering the Black Sea or Azov in exchange for a guarantee of neutrality for Ukraine.

The US MIC can sell Ukraine $40 billion of hardware for its defense and keep the stolen Russian assets.

Russia will keep its possessions in the south and east.
