#2 Incidentally, zeitun is the site of one of the most famous and witnessed (probably several hundred thousands witnesses over 2 years, almost all of them muslim, by the way) marian apparition in all History, even before Fatima.

So, whatever it was (actual Marian apparition, ufo, demonice deception, etc, etc, YMMV), it was well-witnessed and well-recorded, though the vids and pics don't show much past a luminous shape often with accompanying "orbs", but even for egyptian muslims, it was an undeniable "supernatural" event. So, in a way, it's bewildering the local djihadists would strike at the oppressed kufr minority at hand in this very place, whihc would have some kind of significance even for the Master Religion.
