The LEO did everything he could to handle this peacefully and the A-Hole still resisted.

In the struggle the A-Hole acquired a WEAPON that could incapacitated the LEO.

It likely the A-Hole was trying to get his Service Weapon, but got the Tazer instead.

BTW: the reason the A-hole was shot in the back is:

He was running way and twisting to shoot at police.

It presented the biggest target.

It DECEASED the likelihood of a fired round hitting unintended persons.

OBTW: My son works the Metro-Atlanta FD/EMS/HAZMAT area. Everything he heard from the station that handled the call made it clear it was a good shoot. An this wasn't the 1st time the A-Hole had serious police or 911 issues.

#2 He still faces the felony murder and ten other charges; they just ruled his termination didn't follow policy. He will probably be re-terminated shortly, following policy.
