#2 Thank you Leon Panetta for outing the good doctor. Panetta was supposed to the adult in the Obama admin.

Loose talk by senior members of the Obama administration may have condemned Shakil Afridi, a Pakistani doctor who assisted America’s hunt for Osama bin Laden, to 33-year term in prison on trumped-up charges.

According to Fox News, an official 357-page report by the Pakistani government that examined the security failures that allowed the U.S. to evade that country’s defenses in the raid on May 2, 2011 concluded that Dr. Afridi was implicated by a “statement by the U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, who was the CIA Director when May 2 happened, confirming the role of Dr. Afridi in making the U.S. assassination mission a success.”

#3 Pakistan had to have a betrayer. It could not appear that Pakistan had colluded with the Great Satan. Shakil Afridi was the sacrificial goat necessary to convince the masses of the innocence of Paki intelligence and government.

Multiple rotary wing aircraft lumbering across AFG, across the Durand to Pakistan. Loitering for nearly an hour in Abbattabad, then back again without being challenged by the Paki air defences. Absolutely amazing, no ?

#4 Afridi's is presumably a smart guy. But he's lacking in common sense. In what universe did it make sense for him to stay in Pakistan after something like this?

#6 The moron obviously assumed our top men had brains and integrity.

The Pakis would have figured it out eventually. The good doctor was too clever by half.
