#2 Sounds to me like General Dannatt is 'wiping his hands clean' of the decision, somewhat like Pontius Pilate did with Jesus versus Barabbas. Should Harry be captured and threatened with beheading, I'm sure the General won't have the impetus to look the Queen 'eye to eye' over her grandson!

#7 Well, it's good to know that if he assumes the throne, even though the job is mostly symbolic, he will have a first-hand understanding and hopefully appreciation for the military and what Global Jihad means and could mean.
