#1 The Toronto Star found evidence also. It's their front page story.

#2 I don't understand the process that's going on here. Are reporters from the Telegraph et al. simply being allowed to root through what is arguably the Mother of All Intelligence Breaks?

#3 I think it's too much to keep track of - it's like the Mother Lode of Intel...

#4 It's actually a good thing if the press finds these rather than U.S. troops, to minimize (it'll never stop the true believers™) the accusations that this stuff was planted as part of Bush's big conspiracy©

#5 Here is the Star article; it seems to be the same documents...

#6 More from the Star; it seems their guy and the Telegraph guy are working together...

#7 To Matt:yes. The same story, coming from the CIA,would be less credible.I'd assume there's an officer present to decide what stories the Telegraph can break.I do believe they are rummaging through the files themselves, though.Any reporter would get apprehensive if they weren't allowed to do so.

#8 I imagine that there is a U.S. officer sitting at the exit, under a sign that says "All documents must be photocopied before they are taken from the building". 'Nuff said...

#9 The White House must be smiling (hi fives all around). When you have the Toronto Star and then Telegraph breaking these stories, you don't have to say "I told you so".

#10 The CIA must have gone from no-hopers to the top intel agency in the world in the last few years. What with documents and prisoners from Afghanistan and Iraq, they should have blackmail material on all sorts of people. :)

Mind you, they still haven't found Osama or Saddam ...

#11 I hope they set up a portable gen set, a good PC and a scanner, and the PDF the s--t out of all these documents. It will take years to unravel it all and the more we preserve at the front end of the investigation of the content, the better off the world will be.
