#7 Biden is hoping to shore up the black vote in case anyone makes an issue out of his push on the Drug war back in the day, a push that resulted in higher sentences for crack (which was the black drug of choice) than cocaine (which was the white drug of choice). Doesn't matter that black leaders at the time supported such sentencing discrepancy any more than folks accepted weird touching more back then. They don't know and we live in the now.
