#3 What government agency gave the go ahead in the first case to let these wipes be sold as flushable? Some agency has its nose in every aspect of claims on product packaging these days.

#4 OK, back when the kids still needed wiping, wife brought some of these home. I gave one test and pulled the auto-veto, these are not going through our toilet system.

That said, there are plenty of people who are: out of sight, not my problem - who is to say these are the 'flushable' kind and not regulary wipies - and will flush anything. You know, shithole people who grew up in shitholes and don't mind being in a shithole.

Then there are those who believe anything on the packaging - sunscreen says blocks sun's harmful rays - put sunscreen in the eyes to watch an eclipse.

And I'd suspect Bobby is right about the flow.

#5 Just slightly off-topic but I were at a very international high tech company in San Diego and apparently we have a problem with some folks using paper towels in the stalls instead of using the toilet paper and it keep blocking things up to the point they are threatening hand dryers (funny when you threaten the more environmental solution). Is that a cultural thing? Anybody? Very odd.

#6 Maybe protest - does work chip in for the good stuff, or is it that stuff that makes kleenex look like kevlar? I've been to some fairly reputable structures and was like, "Wow, this is where you cut costs? Thanks for the memories."

Or are we from different areas, if you will? A John Spartan versus The Three Shells?

#8 ^ Hah. Is that about "not shakin' it" or kafir cooties from doorknobs? Clearly, I've been too respectful of privacy, concerning myself mostly with sudden movements (so to speak) or flying whatever. But no more. That I gotta see.

When I was a baby babysitting high-rises, most of the OEs had an irresistible need to discuss their upstairs toilet arrangements and outcomes: "First ya put down a splashpad..." and so forth. Used to creep me out; shoulda been scribbling notes for a novel. Anyways, it was never how many sheets of TP but how many pulls on the reel... or how many handtowels. Lot less judgemental now after mucho hospital visiting time... and that unfortunate splash event at the downtown Macy's. Backside still hasn't forgiven me for all the GermX.
