#2 ...This, sadly, happened a few miles from here. SSgt Cheerful has already been charged downtown, his house has been surrounded by locals (no violence yet, just chanting), and the United States Army, in all its power and majesty, has cracked its knuckles and started making him wish he'd never been born. I also have a suspicion that since he was a Drill, a lot of people are going to start coming out of the woodwork - if he was that stupid off duty, he sure as hell was on duty.

#3 Deandre? Deandre who? I see there's plenty of career ending background info on the NCO, none on the walker.

Would I be safe in assuming 'Yard O'The Month', advancement to E-8 and the Sergeant Major's Academy are all completely out of the question ?

#4 1. Kid was in a gated community not just walking down the street. He had no business in there and everyone knew it but the Daily Mail doesn't mention that.
2. Drill Instructor is probably not used to dealing with someone he can't punish officially or intimidate in a bar. Kid knows he's safe.
3. Kid seem very stupid or on something.

#5 Other items not mentioned, NCO's potential deployments, possible PTSD, neighborhood crime, children in the area.

Yes, yes, yes the NCO should have waited on the police and filed a report, with fotos of the little fokwad. Indeed a costly mistake and error in judgement, but when wife and kids are involved things have a tendency to escalate.

Will not end well for the NCO. Likely to draw comment very soon from the SECDEF master of WOKE.
