#4 I have a girlfriend, a chemical engineer by training, who was the QA point person at her Hershey’s chocolate factory back when a potential SARS pandemic was the concern. They drew up plans —and laid in supplies — in case there would be a need to shelter the workers in place at the factory for several weeks. They also had to figure out how to keep the workers in while family members were required to stay elsewhere. This is no more a surprise than the need for surge supplies of masks, gowns, and ventilators.

Good for the workers, and for their families back home.
