#4 They decided to become more focussed on their target market, which is only half of those who buy the products they sell. Someone else has, no doubt, already picked up the slack, not just in guns and ammunition, but all the other hunting, camping, and exercise and sports supplies Dick’s sells.

The particular genius of capitalism is that it is forever weeding out businesses that less well deliver given products or services than the competition, no matter how illustrious the name over the door. Not that y’all don’t know that, but I felt an overwhelming need to pontificate.
