#3 These connections between African and Latin American leaders are becoming bizarre. Here is an excerpt from whatGutavo Coronel had to say on 2/28 about a meeting between Mugabe and Chavez,

Arriving in Venezuela after a long plane trip from Harare, Zimbabwe's despot Robert Mugabe rapidly proceeded to fall asleep while ChÃ¡vez was giving a speech and went on to drop the replica of BolÃvar's sword presented to him by ChÃ¡vez. Robert Mugabe, said the beaming ChÃ¡vez, "is a true warrior of freedom."

#4 Simon Bolivar is pretty much the poster child for Unintended Consequences. A benevolent dictator, he spawned 200+ years of unruly south American militaries.
