#5 He was released on W's watch but it just goes to show that being lenient with these people doesn't work. It's like letting a child molester out of jail, you know good and well he's gonna do it again. Transferring them to other countries for prosecution is a particularly bad idea because the other countries have shown an unfortunate tendency to just release them. I read here a couple of weeks ago where a guy was transferred to Kuwait where they released him. He then proceeded to Iraq where he strapped on a boom vest and took out 13 Iraqi soldiers. The only way to release these guys is with a pair of cement shoes over the Atlantic. Otherwise, Gitmo really is the best solution. To hell with their rights. They are terrorists and illegal enemy combatants. They have no rights.
