#1 Japan is already queasy about foreigners. Unless a miracle cure is found in the next 30-60 days, this useless waste of time and money will not happen.

#2 And then there will be a condom glut to go with the oil glut.

#4 So they cancel the Olympics and this thing peters out by May. I'd to see it. Found this on the internet so it has to be true:

What month does flu season end?

Flu season typically falls sometime between the start of fall and the end of spring. For the past three decades, flu activity has peaked at some point between the months of October and February but always tapers off by April.

That being said I wouldn't get on a cruise ship any time of the year. They can harbor diseases all times of the year.

I have a hard enough time getting on a plane; they are filthy. I flew Aeroflot, with black fluid dripping/running down the walls in first class to Tokyo; our Swiss Air plane had failed in Moscow. Good vodka and caviar though. I flew a Chinese local hop prop aircraft in '89, it was much worse. Cruise ship is not happening.

Took the ferry across to Normandy last summer. Went up on the top deck in the open air, found a chair and stayed there. Cruise liners are absolutely out of the question. Never been on one. Wouldn't board one if they paid me.

#8 Sine I retired almost three years ago, the wife and I have taken about two cruises a year. Delightful, each and every one. Plenty of hand sanitizer and sneeze shields. We almost always eat in the dining room, because we do not like the mobs of the buffet.

Your mileage, apparently, does vary.
