#1 Dual-use equipment and technology can be used for both military and civilian purposes.

Never saw any of those fancy stainless steel Swiss or German manufactured pumps, piping, huge centrifuges, instruments, etc, during the UNSCOM inspections in the mid-90's. Nosir, not one, never, ever never, could not have, didn't even. Not one!

#3 Granted, it is awfully hard to stop former heads of state from acting inappropriately. Otherwise former president James Earl Carter would have been muzzled and leashed decades ago.

It was a business trip on behalf of his employer Gazprom, who wants to convince the Iranians not to participate in Nabucco, a pipeline that would avoid Russian territory.

Instead they want the Iranians to sign up for South Stream, a pipeline under control of Gazprom/Putin/Russia.

If there is any Western politician I'd fling my oldest shoes at, it would be Schröder.

But then again, he's one of those guys who are not "satisfaktionsfähig"
