#1 SCUDs have really lousy aim.
One bad shot by Iraq (especially with a chem. warhead) might take care of all kinds of problems.

Not intentionally, but pieces of them might. He's obviously never heard of Patriots and the Israeli Arrow missile defense system (I think that's what it's called).

#3 I hope that the US and IDF radars can accurately predict trajectories. We can selectively intercept what needs to be intercepted and let the strays go where they may.
