#1 At least the guy had the good sense to not cite politics as his reason. Any polite excuse is a good excuse, and should be taken at face value; the Bush people would respect it.

Unlike when Bill Clinton's people stalked Tiger Woods for months until Tiger told them to sod off. Repeatedly.

Of course he is not going to cite politics. He is just a snake who wants to rip the benefits of living in this society, while supporting evey tin pot dictator who wants to destroy it.

#5 Tiger learned purty good from his old man, a retired Special Forces Sergeant Major. Good on ya Woods.

#7 Frank G,
I doubt W lost any sleep either

Of course he is not! But the point is that Guillen is part of that very public fifth column that will undermine everything that this administration is trying to do. I know that people here think that I am blowing this out proportion but why should we not protest somebody who has clearly sided with a a man like Chavez? Chavez has vowed to help anybody who is willing to destroy this country. He has sided with the Iranian Nut who vowed to erase Israel off the map. He has already invited Hamas to visit the country and has promised them monetary aid.The list goes on and on....

#8 Guillen is a good coach, but a coach accompanies his team when his team visits the White House.

Why should Ozzie's family come ahead of his team members' familes?

This was a really bad move for Guillen.

#9 Why should Ozzie's family come ahead of his team members' familes?

Because that is not the real reason for declining the invitation. He wants to play both teams. He already made a big deal about supporting Chavez. He took the trophy to Venezuela and had a private audience with the asshole. Chavez is a sworn enemy of Bush. How would it look now if he went to shake Bush's hand? He knows that Bush will not make a big deal out of it but Chavez will have a great propaganda tool.
Guillen is scum!
