#3 Historically, the 'pubs have a tendency to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Trump and the loss of the house seems to have given them some spine and willingness to fight back, but we'll see.

#4 Judging from the consistent support Trump has at rallies, it is not likely Senate Pubs will pay a price in November. His base seems solid. He seems to be attracting Dems and independents.

The faux rigged impeachment hasn't seem to hurt his numbers--if anything, it has helped. Most informed Americans don't like rigging and unfairness.
