Boy Scouts File For Ch. 11 Bankruptcy Protection
Congratulations, lefties, socialists & communists - you took out another American institution. How very constructive you all are...
[AP] - Barraged by hundreds of sex-abuse lawsuits, the Boy Scouts of America filed for bankruptcy protection Tuesday in hopes of working out a potentially mammoth victim compensation plan that will allow the 110-year-old organization to carry on.

The Chapter 11 filing in federal bankruptcy court in Wilmington, Delaware, sets in motion what could be one of the biggest, most complex bankruptcies ever seen. Scores of lawyers are seeking settlements on behalf of several thousand men who say they were molested as scouts by scoutmasters or other leaders decades ago but are only now eligible to sue because of recent changes in their states’ statute-of-limitations laws.
If I had time to check it out, I suspect that last part conveniently ignores recent senior personnel restructuring (i.e., hiring gay scoutmasters) that every last one of us predicted ten years ago this was where the Scouts would eventually wind up. And - I thought ex-post facto law were unconstitutional? That's why I'm calling BS on the AP 'spin' - it's not very convincing or plausible.

We don't need no stinkin' locusts - we have leftists to destroy all of our shit instead.

#1  Some of the happiest times of my childhood were spent with the scouts. Camping with my friends, hiking Indiana, Arizona, canoeing and portaging lakes in Wisconsin in a spring snowstorm, paddling the canals of old Chicago, the desert Philmont experience, starting a fire with a bow during a winter blizzard while survival camping, Cub Scout to Eagle.

My first paramilitary experience was a good one.

Europe
Tesla Berlin Factory Risks Months-Long Legal Delay Over Wildlife
[Investors Business] Elon Musk's first electric car plant in Europe is facing legal delays that could set the project back by several months after a court said clearing a forest near Berlin for the Tesla (TSLA)factory must stop immediately while it considers a challenge by environmentalists.

The Berlin-Brandenburg higher administrative court issued a temporary injunction against further logging, overturning a lower court ruling that had rejected a request by environmental group Gruene Liga Brandenburg. The group is seeking to prevent Tesla from clearing more of the trees and the court said it will make a final decision on the complaint in the coming days.

Tesla and the government of Brandenburg, where the plant is located, have until mid-day on Tuesday to respond to the court and will meet that deadline, Joerg Steinbach, Brandenburg's economy minister, said on Twitter, adding that they will then "rely on the prompt decision" of the court.

If Tesla doesn't clear the forest by mid-March before the wildlife breeding period begins, construction could be delayed by six to nine months, local officials have warned.

Justice Department Condemns Trump For Pardoning The Hamburglar
[Babylon Bee] WASHINGTON, D.C.‐Standing on the White House lawn with the black and white striped mascot next to him, President Donald Trump made it official: the Hamburglar has been pardoned of his crimes. "It's long past time a great injustice was corrected," Trump told the gathered press. "The only thing the Hamburglar is guilty of is loving hamburgers. And occasionally taking them."

The Hamburglar had been sentenced to nine years for the theft of thousands of hamburgers. He was arrested as part of a "tough on hamburger theft" movement, and many felt the Hamburglar got an overly harsh sentence due to profiling since he wore a black and white prisoners outfit, a mask, and his name is a portmanteau of "hamburger" and "burglar." There has long since been a movement to see him freed, of which Donald Trump was a member.

"Free the Hamburglar!" Trump used to chant at campaign rallies, "And put Hillary in his place!" (Trump later found out he could not "reverse-pardon" Hillary, though).

The move to pardon the Hamburglar was not supported by everyone. Thousands of Justice Department officials have decried the move, calling for Trump's resignation. Also, Mayor McCheese wrote a long letter against the pardon, though most of it seemed to be an ad for McDonald's new Bacon Smokehouse Burger.

"Me and the Hamburglar are kindred spirits," Trump said at the press conference. "And yeah, just like him, I might occasionally swipe a hamburger if no one is looking. That's not my fault, though. That's yours for not keeping an eye on your burger."

The Hamburglar himself had little to say on his newfound freedom, his only statement being, "Robble robble."

Economy
Immigration to America is down. Wages are up. Are the two related?
h/t Instapundit
[Economist] - In both 2018 and 2019 nominal wages rose by more than 3%, the fastest growth since before the recession a decade ago. Americans at the bottom of the labour market are doing especially well. In the past year the wages of those without a high-school diploma have risen by nearly 10%. Intriguingly, this has come as America has turned considerably less friendly to immigrants, who are assumed by many to steal jobs from natives and lower the wages of less-educated folk. The two phenomena may be connected‐but only for a while.
Sun rise and temperature rise - are they related?

#1  Stupid f---s.

George Borjas of Harvard studied this DECADES ago and demonstrated that illegal immigration in this country results in, on average, a 9% reduction in wages.

Anyone with a functioning brain could have seen this: decrease supply of a commodity, hold demand equal, watch the market-clearing price increase.

Instead we've seen US real wages decline for over 30 years - until Teump reminded the nation of what Congresswoman Baebaea Jordan of Houston said in the mid-1990s: illegal immigration is a scourge.

It is devastating this nation. It is the biggest threat, by far, to the prospect of a normal life for every member of our native-born working class.

It must end if we are to remain a democracy.

Modi Responsible for Increased Attacks on Christians?
[DISRN] A new report suggests that the rise of violent attacks against Christians in India over the past six years is a direct result of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Hindu nationalist agenda, The Telegraph reported Sunday.

The Telegraph said the new data shows a record number of violent attacks against Christians in India and that religious minorities have felt the pressure of the prime minister's agenda since he first came to power in 2014.

During the first quarter of 2019, hate crimes and violent attacks against Christians in India increased by 57 percent from the previous year, according to a report released by the Evangelical Fellowship of India (EFI).

The persecution affected people like Pastor Jai Singh, 53, who was beaten by a mob of approximately 200 people after they stormed a house church in Bitchpuri and beat him and his 15-year-old-son before dragging them to the village square.

"They hit me with their fists and then took me into the temple and beat me with sticks, before stretching my legs back as far as they would go," Singh told The Telegraph.

Both of his feet were broken and he suffered permanent nerve damage in his legs.

Ball State Sez Prof's Seating Request is an 'Unnecessary Distraction' - Puts Him on Leave for remainder of Semester
[The Hill] Ball State University has suspended a professor who called the police after an African-American student declined to switch seats during the middle of one of his lectures last month.
Oblivious to entitlement. What is wrong with this fellow. Has he been asleep for 50 years ?
The university, which is located in Muncie, Ind., said in a statement that marketing professor Shaheen Borna would give up teaching for the rest of the semester, adding that the decision was in the school and Borna's "best interest," according to reports.

The move will "eliminate any unnecessary distractions, and help our students complete the appropriate course expectations," the statement said.

Borna, who joined the Ball State faculty in 1983, had gained attention last month after calling the police on a student who had declined his request to move to a different spot during a lecture.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Last week’s [Israeli] airstrikes destroyed IRGC Quds Force HQ, warehouse at Damascus airport
Several interesting photos at the link with circles and arrows and explanatory statements on each one.
[Jpost] Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps sites at Damascus International Airport were heavily damaged due to Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s.

ImageSat International (ISI) reported on Monday evening that heavy damage was inflicted upon Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) sites at Damascus International Airport on February 13. Airstrikes appear to have hit warehouses, a shelter, headquarters and infrastructure.

The airstrikes were reported in regional media, such as The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire...
’s Anadolu. Reports indicated that seven people were killed, including four Iranian officers. The Anadolu report claimed the attack occurred after a cargo plane had landed. Syrian regime media blamed Israel and said that Syrian defenses had intercepted "hostile targets."

According to the ISI assessment, a series of satellite photos show damage to buildings around the airport. The damage included a headquarters and warehouse near a runway. In addition, another warehouse was completely destroyed and a shelter was partially damaged.

In total, three different areas were struck.

Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan, the abbreviation IRGC is a cognate form of Stürmabteilung (or SA), the term Supreme Guide is a cognate form of either Shah or Führer or maybe both, and they hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
has warned Israel that it will "regret" continued attacks and face a "crushing response." Israel has warned Iran that it must not entrench in Syria, and that Syria could become Iran’s Vietnam.
The honours being thereby satisfied on both sides, each carried on with its own efforts, undeterred.
Last January, former IDF chief of staff Gadi Eisenkot said Israel had carried out more than 1,000 airstrikes in Syria against Iranian targets.

The last airstrikes before the February 13 alleged strike were in early February, when Russia accused Israel of endangering a civilian airliner.

In November 2019, Iran’s "glass house" headquarters was struck in Syria, according to reports.

In addition, Iran has sought to bring air defense to Syria in the form of the Third Khordad system. It has used Syria to base drones, including "killer drones" that Hezbollah and the IRGC tried to launch last August. In February 2018, an Iranian drone from Syria entered Israel’s airspace and was shot down.

Iran has around 900 IRGC members in Syria and it has supported some 20,000 Shi’ite militias in the country. It has also sent precision-guided munitions via Syria to Hezbollah. Pro-Iranian militias have worked with Iran to build a base at Albukamal near the Iraqi border as part of Iran’s attempt to create a "road to the sea" via Syria to arm Hezbollah in Leb.

They also boasted short work weeks, long vacations, year-long maternity leaves, early retirement, fully-paid-for old-age care, and all sorts of other things that made them feel superior to Americans.

However, contrary to Europeans' self-satisfied faux-socialist vision of themselves, Europeans didn't fund their so-called "soft socialism." Instead, for the most part, Americans did. During the Cold War, the government collected taxes from Americans to pay Europe's defense costs, allowing Europeans to spend their tax money on all those little socialist luxuries. Americans, meanwhile; worked 60-hour weeks; got short vacations; and paid for their own medical care, old-age care, and maternity leave.

Meanwhile, even as the Europeans were luxuriating in the lap of America-funded social welfare programs, they constantly criticized America for seeking to have a bigger say in world affairs. As has been the case since WWI, which was the first time America rode to Europe's rescue, Europeans complained that Americans were unsophisticated bullies lacking in nuance. The general attitude was "pay the money, man the guns, and shut up."

With the Cold War's end, American spending dropped in Europe ‐ a drop that coincided with Europeans beginning to have problems funding all their social services. Trump has taken things to the next level by demanding that Europeans start helping to pay for their own defense. (Indeed, Europeans have long promised to pay for that defense, but they have consistently failed to fulfill those promises.)

It turns out that Europeans are not pleased to be called out to make good on their promises. In addition, they're discovering that those gauche, bullying Americans were, in fact, a useful bulwark against evil in the world:

#1  ...As I see it - YMMV, of course - with the qualified exception of the UK, the western European nations have no interest whatsoever in changing their ways, indeed, they would rather go down conquered than throttle back the bennies. No politician there is going to risk losing power by transferring money from benefits to defense. They cannot conceive of a world where we don't come charging to the rescue one more time.

#2  Europeans are like a child who grew up in a wealthy home. They very quickly became used to someone else spending money on them, and got very angry when Daddy threatened to stop it. It's not something special, it's just how things must be.

Trump told them to their faces that they must carry a fair share of the load. They flat-out refused. What can one say? The Americans have been so effective that they don't see any threats. Thus they don't understand why they should need a military. It looks horrifying and uncivilized from their perspective.

They think the US doesn't have bases in Europe to protect them, but as springboards for military adventures in the Middle East. Wars which do nothing to help Europe, but generate endless masses of refugees. It's hard to contradict them on this point.

It is very satisfying to tell off the Americans for being baby-killing warmongers. They love feeling superior more than anything else.

#12  When the US goes to war we prefer to do our own thing and act like our allies are in the way. We want them around to show whatever conflict is an international one but we don't want them at the planning table. ...and the US would absolutely smash anyone that conventionally attacked any of our allies. We wouldn't even need to be asked. ...and the biggest mover and shaker in the EU is embarrassed about anything military because of their own history.

With all that it is hard to fault the Europeans for not paying to keep their militaries funded.

Still they know they've gotten away with this game for a long time and shouldn't resent being called on it.

#13  The poll is not BS. You should look at the other one that states that Europeans very firmly think Americans should come to the rescue of embattled NATO countries.

They don't want to have a military, they don't want to use their military to help, but boy oh boy they expect the USA to be Johnny-on-the-spot when trouble rears its head. It's complete bullshit and it needs to come to a screeching halt.

For it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Chuck him out, the brute!"

Palestinian found dead in West Bank identified
More on yesterday’s discovery.
[IsraelTimes] Hamas says 51-year-old Fakhr Qarat ’fulfilled God’s call and [his] duty’; stops short of clearly taking responsibility for February 6 attack.

Hamas, the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®, heaped praise on a deceased Paleostinian man on Monday, who the terrorist group said had carried out a shooting attack against Israeli soldiers at the beginning of February.

The statement came hours after the IDF said that it had located the remains of the Paleostinian man in the central West Bank who was believed to have opened fire on troops earlier this month.

Michael Bloomberg Belittled Farmers, Machinists: Modern Jobs Require More ‘Gray Matter’
[BREITBART] Mike Bloomberg
...Billionaire former Republican mayor and nanny of New York, Dem candidate for president in 2020. Wants to rid the country of assault weapons, other kinds of guns, and 32-ounce soft drinks...
, who is under fire after a string of old sexist and racially insensitive remarks resurfaced on social media last week, made the belittling comments at a 2016 Oxford University forum in England. During the forum, the former mayor asserted that a major obstacle to uniting America’s heartland with the coasts was the inability of blue-collar workers to transition into the information economy.
I never knew much about this fellow, but the more I learn the less I actually want to know.
“I could teach anybody, even people in this room, no offense intended, to be a farmer,” Bloomberg said. “It’s a process. You dig a hole, you put a seed in, you put dirt on top, add water, up comes the corn. You could learn that.”

“Then we had 300 years of the industrial society,” he continued. “You put the piece of metal on the lathe, you turn the crank in the direction of the arrow, and you can have a job.”

Bloomberg proceeded to argue that with the advancement of the information economy, individuals who would have prospered in the old industrial and farming jobs are now at a disadvantage because they lack adequate education and intellect.

“Now comes the information economy and [it] is fundamentally different because it’s built around replacing people with technology and the skill sets that you have to learn are how to think and analyze, and that is a whole degree level different,” he said. “You have to have a different skill set, you have to have a lot more gray matter.”

Bloomberg added that it was unclear if the skills or “gray matter” required for such high-skilled jobs could be easily taught in schools, so the “challenge of society” was figuring out how to provide for those locked out of the information economy.

Can anyone parse this mush?

"degree level" = what, exactly? Does he mean to say "degree" as in difference of degree instead of difference of kind? If so, then he's actually saying the opposite of what he seems to intend.

Or was he thinking of "degree" in the sense of university degree -- perhaps subconsciously envying the much bigger dick more prestigious (vs Johns Hopkins) Oxford (pedi)gree?

Also, how does adding the modifier "whole" clarify what, if anything, this overrated nasty little shit is struggling to articulate?

Or was he just showing how vulgar and Jerry Lee Lewis-ish he actually is ("whole lotta degree-shaking' goin' on..")?

What an overrated asshole.

Absolutely right, grom. An extraordinarily difficult profession pursued by truly uncommon people: uncommon skill, tenacity, courage, fortitude.

I was trying to avoid the cliche "the working man."

I guess it's an indication of how far away we've fallen from our old standard of respect and gratitude for people who feed us, who build things, who fix things and move things from here to there -- from the agricultural and mechanical trades -- that I couldn't even find in our vernacular the right term for such people.

We really need a new political class, a new political discourse -- and a different, more traditional culture.

If it's too wet, you cant bail or they will rot before they get to the livestock.

Of course big diesel pumps take a lot of work to maintain. Then there's keeping the pivots working. They're finicky bastards - and sometimes the newer models are worse than the old ones.

German far right arrests reveal 'shocking' mosque attack plan
They call themselves Der harte Kern (the Hard Core) and are linked to the Finnish group Soldiers of Odin, according to yesterday’s article on the subject.
[DAWN] Members of a German extreme-right group arrested last week were believed to have been plotting "shocking" large-scale attacks on mosques similar to the ones carried out in New Zealand last year, the government said on Monday.

Officials said that investigations into 12 men detained in police raids across Germany on Friday had indicated they planned major attacks, following media reports over the weekend the group aimed to launch several simultaneous mass-casualty assaults on Moslems during prayers.

"It's shocking what has been revealed here, that there are cells here that appear to have become radicalised in such a short space of time," interior ministry front man Bjoern Gruenewaelder told news hounds at a Berlin presser.

"It is the task of the state, and of course of this government, to protect free practice of religion in this country, with no reference to what religion it might be," Chancellor Angela Merkel
...chancellor of Germany and the impetus behind Germany's remarkably ill-starred immigration program. Merkel used to be referred to by Germans as Mom. Now they make faces at her for inundating the country with Moslem colonists...
's front man Steffen Seibert said.

"Anyone practising their religion in Germany within our legal order should be able to do so without being endangered or threatened".

Have the Turks actually "fought" yet? They did an anti-partisan push or two, but mostly it has been posturing (think the Italian Army under Mussolini if that militarily competent). The question is (1) How corrupt the Turkish Army was before (2) the Anti-Gülenist Purges got rid of anybody suspected of being competent and/or non-AKP.

So far it looks like their proxies and bought thugs are more interested in living than fighting for the Grand Pasha of Istanbul.

Home Front: WoT
War on terror has done nothing but create more terrorists
Too bad we did anything in 2001. We wouldn't have this problem now.
[LasVegasSun] In 2001 and in 2002, Congress passed authorizations for war. While not declarations of war, these mandates, each titled an Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) provided the legal framework for attacks against al-Qaeda for the Iraq War. Both AUMFs are still in effect today. As Congress considers its annual authorization to fund the Pentagon, our current members of Congress, both in the House and the Senate, are in positions of responsibility and ability to repeal these AUMFs.

The effect of the AUMFs: Based on FBI and journalist investigations, al Qaeda had 200-400 members worldwide in September of 2001. It now has affiliates in every corner of the world, its strength measures in the tens of thousands of members, and it controls territory in Yemen, Syria and parts of Africa. In Afghanistan, the Taliban now controls as much as 60% of the territory and, with regards to international terrorism, where there was one international terror group in Afghanistan in 2001, the Pentagon now reports 20 such groups.

Posted by: Airandee || 02/18/2020 17:26 Comments || Top||

#10  The central premise is "Why we should repeal the AUMF as a legal declaration".

The two best arguments, casualties and cost, are only valid if the primary argument, more terrorists, is correct.

Besides the first question, What is a terrorist?, the stats given are spurious at best.

Afghan used to have just one terror org now they have 20! can be argued that the US/Coalition demanded that the locals could not have a strong central leader without getting whooped so they reverted to traditional clan territories of control. Or, we thought it was one homogeneous happy family when really there was a lot more going on. Or, a power vacuum attracted flies. Or, Karzai's extended family should count.

AlQ Iraq and ISIS were two different, competing entities. In fact, AlQ Iraq warned us (McCain) against arming them, "We may be jerks, but those guys are cat in a yarn barn crazy." That's all Obama administration doing; include killing Qadaffy and Libya now.

There is no mention of the rise of groups like Boko Haram or other horn of Africa baddies - would they or would they not be around without US in Iraq/Afghan? Topic not even approached. MILF seems to be getting along on their own.

As fore number of AlQ increasing after 9/11, win the lottery and find out how many people want to be your friend.

So its all imagination land for cost/benefit, which can be countered with "How many more terrorists would there have been without US/Coalition thumping them." Or, "Unrestrained Bin Laden joins with Pakistan to unleash waves of terror against India, prompting nuclear exchange."

So back to the premise, do we do away with the current AUMF and any future versions thereof? Argue the reasons and/or results, a resolution went before Congress and was voted on. Done. When McCain started banging the war drums and attempted to expand the AUMF to include Syria, congress gave the administration the finger, a hardy no (look up France, Britain as well), and that adventure never officially happened which would have been US equipment and air strikes at the very least. So the AUMF works.

Thank you g(r)rom for that term, here at work.

#13  My thought is that we should have bombed the F*** out of AQ and Taliban, enough that they (and others)would think twice about attacking the USA again, then be done with it after less than a year or so. We now have small tactical nukes we could use nowadays.

My objection is to spending all that money over 19 years for what, we coulda have nice things for US citizens instead and perhaps a much smaller national debit.

WWII only lasted six years, if we put in a fraction off the effort into this, this war would have been done and over with years ago.

For each stamp earned that cadet should have to perform a combat dressing drill and carry 200lb bag of sand 1/4 mile because if you are going to be that stupid, and least be able to carry your wounded off of the battlefield 'cause your getting people killed.

Should have built a super highway from Karachi to Kabul. Pull down the very mountains it would pass through to make the road. 8 lane, safety perimeter 1/4 out. Strongpoints at ambush sites, and I mean mines and everything. Then, spokes out from Kabul, connecting to an eventual circuit. Now you have your heavy equipment, you have your big supply by land. Use airlift to concentrate on QRF supplies needed. Sic Paladins on Korengal instead of outpost theory, f'em. Burn the poppies, thump anyone who looks at that road. Goat herders dead? Here's a picture of one of our highly educated top tier merchants jumping from a 100 story oven. Karzai your family supplies road material in abundance ahead of time or your family gets pressed into blocks to be used as counterweights and we get someone who will, and since the Colorado Highway Department doesn't seem to find any work we'll just fly them out here and put them on the road machines and drills hauled up from Karachi.

China-Japan-Koreas
It's A Lie: What The Chinese Aren't Telling Us
Key paragraphs:
[AndMagazine] ...According to the Chinese government, a grand total of somewhere around 1500 Chinese have died in two months from the coronavirus. China is a nation of 1.4 billion people. In the sixty days that have elapsed since the Chinese admitted they had a problem with this disease probably more than 1500 people have been run over crossing the street or died of food poisoning. In the grand scheme of things, one thousand five hundred people out of a population the size of China’s is nothing. Certainly not to a brutal Communist regime that imprisons, tortures and executes its citizens as a matter of routine.

And, yet, the Chinese, while continuing to claim that the situation is under control and everyone should relax, have taken measures that are mind-boggling in scope. In effect, they have shut down virtually all daily activities, including manufacturing, in a very large part of the country. Entire cities with populations of millions of people are under lockdown with barriers and checkpoints on roads to prevent anyone from breaking quarantine...

Coronavirus cases rise again in China as recession looms for Japan, Singapore
[DAWN] The number of reported new cases of coronavirus in China's Hubei province rose on Monday after two days of falls, as authorities imposed tough new restrictions on movement to prevent the spread of the disease which has now killed more than 1,700 people.

With no end in sight for the outbreak, Japan and Singapore appeared to be on the brink of recession with data on Monday pointing to possible contractions in the current quarter.

In Cambodia, hundreds of people who had disembarked from a cruise ship that docked there last week were anxiously awaiting information on when they could return home, after a former passenger tested positive for the virus in Malaysia.

In Hubei, the epicentre of the outbreak, health officials reported 1,933 new cases and 100 new deaths on February 16, the lowest daily death count since Feb 11. The number of new cases rose nearly 5 per cent from the previous day, but the number of deaths fell from 139.

Nearly 90pc of the new cases were in the bucolic provincial capital of Wuhan, a city of 11 million people where the virus is believed to have originated at a market illegally trading wildlife late last year.

Across mainland China, officials said the total number of cases rose by 2,048 to 70,548, with 1,770 deaths.
This person wonders how bad the virus needs to get for the Japan Olympics to be delayed for 1 year?

Record number of anti-Semitic incidents documented in the Netherlands in 2019
[IsraelTimes] 182 cases mark a 35% increase over 2018; threats, insults and assaults on the street or in the workplace doubled; boycott Israel activists behind 18 events.

Dutch Jewry’s watchdog for anti-Semitism has recorded the highest number of anti-Semitic incidents ever observed in a calendar year.

The group, the Center for Information and Documentation on Israel, or CIDI, has been monitoring anti-Semitism in the Netherlands for about 30 years. They divided the 182 incidents in 2019 ‐ an increase of 35 percent from 2018 ‐ into six categories in a report released Monday, including online abuse and vandalism.

Of those, the category of real-life cases ‐ involving threats, insults and assaults on the street or in the workplace ‐ saw the largest increase, more than doubling from 27 cases in 2018 to 61 last year.

Eighteen incidents
...10%, for those who do not feel like doing the math...
of real-life anti-Semitism were committed by activists or supporters of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement, who during rallies in central Amsterdam called counter protesters "cockroaches" and kikes," CIDI wrote.

Far-right anti-Semitism accounted for one incident in CIDI’s tally.
Far-right anti-Semitism accounted for one incident in CIDI’s tally.

In one incident, on December 1 in Rotterdam, a boy shouted at a Jewish family outside a synagogue: "Jew, I’ll shoot you dead," as his parents watched. The Jewish family said the boy’s parents did not intervene.

Anti-Semitism in the school environment accounted for 11 cases. In one of them, a boy told his Jewish classmate on June 24 in Amstelveen, a small city near Amsterdam, that "all the Jews must die."

Primary disseminators of deobandi dogma, a sort of mecca to the jihadi, some of the vilest human beings on earth are educated in these ideological factories. They are also meeting places and coordination centers for much of the terrorist activity against local democracy. If Balochistan is to be free of the 'Stain, it's very necessary that that the criminal hold of these deobandis be weakened enough for Baloch secessionists to become more powerful.

#3  Matter for the archives, TW ?

In 1999, when the JeM was founded by Maulana Masood Azhar, the Sipah-e sahaba Pakistain (SSP) under Maulana Tariq Aziz lent it the initial support. Men, contacts, shared sunni facilitators and financiers. The JeM carried out aggressive actions for it against 'secular minded' rationalists in Multan and Jhang in exchange.

Massod Azhar himself declared at a sunni sasquatch conference, in 2000 I think, "Sipah-e-Sahaba stands shoulder to shoulder with Jaish-e-Muhammad in the jihad."

The SSP draws support from some political outfits in Pakistan, primarily the Jamaat-e-Islami, Pak (JeI) and the Jamaat-Ulema-e-Islam (JuI). The Jamaats run almost all madrassas and markaz from where recruits for the HuM, SSP and Taliban are provided. They are the most sought after indoctrination and radicalization experts in the sunni world. Yale and Harvard for the sasquatch.

The SSP is funded primarily by soddys and rich Pakistani gangsters, apart from donations by various sunni groups. Relatively unknown to the world, SSP create 3 out of every 5 hardline sunni clerics that recruit, poison and radicalize youth across the entire world from Canada to Australia.

Ramzi Ahmed Yousuf, an accused in the New York WTC bombing of February 1993, was also Sipah e Sahaba.

In 2001, they joined the Afghan Jihad Council to protest Pakistan's allowance of air bases to the US for ops on the taliban; and have lent training, PR, and recruitment support silently working among pashtun tribals since then.

We shared knowledge of all bases and strongholds we knew of with the farmboys back in 2008, then again two years ago, but they haven't done much with it except include an innocuous footnote about 'India's Concerns (ho hum)' in their dossiers to other agencies.

Norway Mosque Shooter Charged with Murder, Terrorism
[AnNahar] A 22-year-old Norwegian man accused of killing his step-sister before opening fire in a mosque near Oslo in August was charged with murder and terrorism on Monday, prosecutors said.

Philip Manshaus was arrested after opening fire in the al-Noor mosque in the affluent Oslo suburb of Baerum on August 10 last year before he was overpowered by a 65-year-old man.

Just three worshipers were in the mosque at the time, and there were no serious injuries.

The body of his 17-year-old step-sister was later found in their home. Adopted by his father's girlfriend, Johanne Zhangjia Ihle-Hansen was killed by four bullets, police said. Police have previously said they believed the motive for the murder to be racist, saying he killed her because she was of Asian origin.

The charge sheet filed with the Asker and Baerum district court on Monday contained two charges. One charge of murder for having killed his stepsister, and one charge of a "terrorist act" by attempting to kill with the "intention of creating severe fear in a population."

The trial is expected to begin on May 7.

Manshaus has previously admitted to the actions but has rejected the charges of murder and terrorism, claiming that it was a "kind of self-defense."

On September 9, at a court hearing to extend his detention in jug, Manshaus raised his arm in a Nazi salute to the assembled media.

Manshaus lawyer, Unni Fries, told broadcaster NRK that the charges did not come as a surprise.

"We are going to take a closer look at this and work towards the trial," Fried said.

#2  It's not enough to have a gun. You need a plan. And to have a plan, you need a bloody clue. Most idiots trying this shit are ending up killing innocents or giving colonists more security and legal assist.

Makes the islamists look almost deserving of victory. A lot can be achieved by not even firing a single bullet, if proper coordination and strategy is applied. Of course, the law has become unreasonable and will lean toward the moslem, so it has to be convinced with planted evidence, framed elements, entrapment into reacting. But it can be made to react unfavourably against moslems, if nationalists use their resources right.

The problem with most societies is, individuals live out their lives in expectation of service from the State instead of taking up initiative and defending society. It requires commitment like a fundamentalist to save your society, to fight for it. It requires often going up against corrupt and whimsical administrations. Of course, one problem is the law itself - western fabianist jurisprudence has relegated citizens' reactive measures to definitions like 'vigilantism' and 'phobia'. Today, islamist proxies in parliaments and judiciaries have succeeded in defining such actions as outright terrorism. It isn't terrorism when a street full of immigrant thugs raise signs openly promising mayhem against a host country's natives, or when young girls are found brutalized because they're white and christian; but it's terrorism when a youth throws a molotov into a masjid.

One problem may be the age factor. Most conservative nationalists are those who were once instrumental in or saw their nations through recovery and ascension, now advanced in years. The younger generations are brought up in safer, faggot psychiatry actuated, 'socially just' academic environs and grew up to be selfish and undisciplined little buggers. I believe it's the duty of the experienced, veterans of real conflicts, those that played once for regime change and drug wars to impart 'nation consciousness' to youth; to recruit and rally them covertly and train up militia; to coordinate and plan actions which will actually make life difficult for moslems and their benefactors. Such that State administrations are overwhelmed by the widespread hatred and unabashed rejection of islamists and are forced to pick a side. Going up against some nitwits with no xp is not the same as having to acknowledge your veterans, cops, ex-cops, thousands of common citizens have ganged up in a covert struggle against their treachery.

Since people will say to me 'that's not how we do things here', and 'go do it yerself first, ya third world cunt !' I do. I'm proud of a group I aid unofficially that successfully converted 6000+ muslims to other religions from 2016 till date, and exposed hundreds as jihadis to the law. Not everything we did was legally tenable. Did we use clueless bumpkins like tools for stuff ? Yes. Did we frame people who had gotten clean away ? Yes. Have people suffered who didn't have to as collateral ? Most probably. It is the jihad after all. Someone has to jihad them back, or it's a motherfucking rout ! We can't wait for ten-member committees for everything.

We may be crucified by our own States in the end, but that is a risk without which there's no honour. The way our societies are ... wheezing, whining about 'ideals and appropriacy' while even a hijab wearing, regressive bitch appears more powerful than the fully kitted police grunt, it's pathetic.

#1  Years ago we had a "government employee" that liked little boys. He would use his little poodle as bait.
Well, the boy went home and told his parents and they told the troopers, so the fellow got arrested and went to jail. Then he posted bond and went home. It was too much for him so he put a bullet through his head.

About a week later a trooper friend came over to a group of us pilots. We had a beer and the trooper told the doleful tale.

My pilot friend started writing and he would not tell us what he was writing. After about 15 minutes, he sang a song to the tune of the Beverly Hillbillies Theme Song. The song was clever, listed the facts, was disgusting, and humorous.

We were disturbed and never the same after that. And that ends this episode of "As the Prop Turns in the Arctic."

FBI Used ‘Briefing' with Trump, Flynn to Gather Evidence for Crossfire Hurricane Operation
[Breitbart] The FBI under James Comey underhandedly sent a senior member of the team investigating alleged collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign to conduct a standard official FBI security briefing for presidential campaigns with then-candidate Donald Trump and his then national security advisor, Michael T. Flynn.

Unbeknownst to both Trump and Flynn, that FBI investigator memorialized that briefing, which included exchanges with Flynn and Trump, in an official document that was added to the Crossfire Hurricane case file probing the Trump campaign over unsubstantiated and ultimately discredited charges of Russian collusion.

The FBI file documenting the August 2016 briefing describes two questions asked by candidate Trump as well as comments from Trump and Flynn and exchanges with the briefer from the FBI who was not identified to either Trump or Flynn during the briefing as working on the Crossfire Hurricane team probing Flynn and other members of the Trump campaign.

James A. Baker, the former FBI general counsel, conceded that the briefer "was there on the off chance that somebody said something that might be useful."

This means the FBI’s controversial Crossfire Hurricane probe team investigating members of the Trump campaign not only directly interfaced with Trump and Flynn without telling them but also recorded their comments in the official case file. Flynn at the time was already a target of the FBI probe.

Afghanistan
Peace Agreement Between US and Taliban 'Finalized': Abdullah
[ToloNews] Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah
...the former foreign minister of the Northern Alliance government, advisor to Masood, and candidate for president against both Karzai and Ghani. Dr. Abdullah was born in Kabul and is half Tadjik and half Pashtun. He also held the meaningless salaried sop position as CEO of Afghanistan, while Ghani was president...
at the Council of Ministers on Monday said that the peace agreement between the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
and US has been "finalized."

"The agreement between the Taliban and US has been finalized and the signing of the agreement is based on the reduction in violence over seven-days and then it will continue," Abdullah said.

"It also an opportunity for the opposite side to show that they want peace in the country," Abdullah said.

The US Special Representative for Afghanistan’s Reconciliation, Zalmay Khalilzad, tweeted updates about progress in the grinding of the peace processor, noting the reduction in violence agreement between the US and Taliban, but stressed that "success cannot be guaranteed."

Khalilzad reported on Twitter that he had met with President Ashraf Ghani
...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money...
in Munich on Friday and held a series of meetings with leaders and representatives from different countries.

Khalilzad also mentioned a "prolonged and fruitful" trip to Doha before attending the Munich Security Conference.

During a meeting with President Ghani, Khalilzad said the two "spoke about the opportunity of this reduction in violence and the imperative of preparing for an inclusive Afghan grinding of the peace processor."

"We urge all Afghans to seize the moment and end the misery of more than four decades of war," Khalilzad said.

Khalilzad said he briefed leaders at the Munich Security Conference about the grinding of the peace processor and "also discussed next steps and committed to working together on the difficult and complicated road ahead."

Abdullah meanwhile called on the Afghan forces to demonstrate their will for the implementation of a reduction in violence, about which the US and the Taliban have agreed in principle.

And the Taliban also, he said, should use this opportunity to show their willingness to implement a reduction in violence.

"The implantation and proof of our will for peace is so important when it comes to working on the details of a reduction in violence," Abdullah said.

But some security force members interviewed by TOLOnews said they do not have any details about a reduction in violence, so far.

"Whenever our elders order, as always, we are ready to stay firm in our duty. We have given sacrifices in this way and we will succeed," said Raz Mohammad, a policeman in Kandahar.

Analysts said the Afghan government does not have a specific plan for a reduction in violence and that it does not have a clear, practical definition for Afghan security force members.

"An Afghan soldier should know that what his duty is, and if he sees a Taliban should he open fire on him or should he welcome him?" said Zahir Azimi, a military analyst.

"Our elders should sit and talk with Americans about the reduction in violence term and they should get a clear definition," said Zalmay Zabuli, an Afghan Senator.

Home Front: Politix
How the heroic Michael Flynn may have prevented WWIII
[WND] Now that the three-year deep state coup against President Trump has been defeated, and the whole world knows the "Russian collusion" hoax was pure Democratic propaganda, it is time to revisit what I believe was the single most treasonous act by Barack Obama of his traitorous two-term presidency. I am speaking of Obama's attempt to trigger a hot war with Russia in late December 2016 in what I believe was a gambit to initiate martial law and prevent the transfer of power to Donald Trump, and I am speaking of Gen. Michael Flynn's heroic intervention on Dec. 29 of that year, which thwarted Obama's treachery and brought down the full wrath of the deep state upon himself. I believe Gen. Flynn is one of the greatest heroes in American history and that he literally saved us from a shooting war with Russia that could have very easily and quickly spiraled into World War III.

Let's take a careful look back at that dangerous season when the narcissist megalomaniac Obama and the power-mad Clintons were seething with rage at Hillary's defeat in the November election, incredulous that they would not only be forced to surrender power to Trump, but that all of their criminality, and that of their Democratic co-conspirators, might very well be exposed and punished.

Thanks to what appears to be an act of political revenge by Bernie Sanders supporter (and soon to be murder victim) Seth Rich, the fallout from Hillary's world-shaking WikiLeaks email scandal had not only cost the Clinton/Obama/Biden team the White House, but opened a Pandora's box of multiple existential crises. Faced with this massive swarm of threats, the greatest criminal minds of our generation launched a massive and multifaceted conspiracy that would eventually bring every asset in their considerable arsenal to bear against Donald Trump.

Importantly, the first objective was to prevent President-Elect Trump from ever taking office, and only when that failed did their treasonous efforts shift to the now-defeated coup d'etat.

The key to both phases was Russia. After the Clintons had sucked all they could from the so-called "Russian Reset" policy (e.g., boatloads of cash from the sale to Russia of massive quantities of U.S. uranium), the Obama/Clinton/Biden/Pelosi/Soros machine reversed course and reignited the Cold War by staging a coup to oust the pro-Russian president of Ukraine.

That forced Russia to annex Crimea to preserve its centuries-old essential military interests there, allowing Obama to cast Russia as the aggressor and justify a campaign of political chaos in Ukraine as a cover for plundering its national resources.

So Russia was already Obama's patsy since 2014 and became the logical scapegoat for the DNC email hack in the summer of 2016. He merely tasked his corrupt intelligence agencies to say Russia did it, and the "conspiracy theories" surrounding Seth Rich's murder were officially buried. And who, prior to the recent stunning revelations about FISA fraud by the intelligence community, would dare to question the integrity of those agencies? Besides President Trump, I mean, since he had the courage to do so all along.

#1  by staging a coup to oust the pro-Russian president of Ukraine

Not so. The wheels turning in Kiev had nothing to do with Nuland or any other American. Ukraine has been embroiled in its own tortured (you could say Byzantine) internal clusterfook that has nothing to do with us, for good or ill.

We didn't create Maidan, we didn't create the earlier aborted botchjob at reform, the Orange Revolution (remember that? Bueller?), and we won't solve their problems either.

Zero's errors in Ukraine have more to do with the man's usual laziness, ignorance and incompetence than with anything like sins of commission.

this was the second annexation of Crimea, the first was in 1783

the various sanctions placed on Russia post annexation have hurt Russia economically

#5  Actually it is a little more complex. There was a portion of the tsarist empire populated by "Little Russians" that is Ukranians.

The Bolcheviks created a Republic of Ukrania but applying the rule of "divide et impera" they included in it,zones populated by "Grand Russians" that is what was call Russians. Came ukranian Krhoushov and he gave Crimea to Ukrania in order to please his power base. Crimea had never been ukranian and was never populated by Ukranians.

Came implosion of USSR and the new states kept their soviet drawn borders but the Russians in Ukrania were not particularly happy about it. In fact in the last elections before the civil war: ALL of the districts populated by Russian speakers voted for a candidate and ALL of regions populated by Ukranian speakers voted for the other one. The "Russian" candidate was elected but he was deposed and replaced by an Ukraniand speaking woman named Timoshenko. At this pont Russian speakers decided they had had enough

#8  There are three options for Ukraine - either

1. neutral but whole and at peace, a la Austria

2. partitioned a la postwar Germany, with each part free to make its own military and foreign policy decisions, and therefore in a state of perpetual tension

3. the current situation in which it's neither independent nor peaceful

Our foreign policy geniuses - note how many of the current coup plotters are billed as "Ukraine experts" - have helped us slouch into the worst possible outcome, #3.

It's Flynn, Trump et al. who, I wager, would best position us to get to #1: Ukraine as a neutral, nonaligned, unified nation that poses no threat to anyone.

No NATO membership - ever. No EU membership now or at any foreseeable time. Limited autonomy for the Donbass.

Why is this so hard for our "Ukraine experts" to see?

Why does absolutely everything have to be a source of conflict with Russia?

Oh wait...

Iran Says Citizen Held in Germany at U.S. Request Freed
[AnNahar] An Iranian man arrested in Germany on suspicion of violating U.S. sanctions returned home Monday after being released, the foreign ministry said.

Ahmad Khalili were tossed into the calaboose "on the pretext of violating the illegal and cruel sanctions of the United States", ministry front man Abbas Mousavi said.

He did not specify when Khalili was arrested or give details on his identity.

Khalili was freed on Sunday night after "intensive diplomatic consultations" and cooperation involving the judiciary and the Revolutionary Guards' intelligence service, Mousavi said in a statement.

He returned to Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
together with Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif
...Persian foreign minister, Mouthpiece of Mullahs, good friend of John Kerryand similar exemplars of Merkin values...
, who last week attended a security conference in the German city of Munich, the front man said.

Iran said in December it was ready for more prisoner swaps with the U.S. after it secured the return of scientist Massoud Soleimani in exchange for Xiyue Wang, a Chinese-born American held in the Islamic republic.

Decades-old tensions between Tehran and Washington have escalated steeply since 2018, when U.S. President Donald Trump
...Oh, noze! Not him!...
unilaterally withdrew from the landmark 2015 Iran nuclear deal and reimposed sanctions.

Soleimani, a stem cell researcher at a Tehran university, on December 7, also flew back home from the United States with Zarif.

[BREITBART] Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg
...the Peewee Herman clone who owns Facebook. He's got more money than Croesus and thinks he should be regulated by the government because it does such a nifty job with all the other stuff it regulates....
has called for more regulation surrounding online content, saying that it’s not up to social media companies to determine free speech.

BBC News reports that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg warned during the Munich Security Conference in Germany that excessive control of speech online risked stifling individual expression and free speech. Social media services such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram have been put under intense pressure to crack down on "hate speech" online, Facebook has also been harshly criticized for its refusal to fact check political ads.

Zuckerberg stated during the conference that he supported government regulation of speech online stating: "We don’t want private companies making so many decisions about how to balance social equities without any more democratic process."

Zuckerberg urged governments to develop regulations relating to social media and suggested that a new regulatory system be founded that combined the existing rules for telecoms and media companies. "In the absence of that kind of regulation we will continue doing our best," he said.

-War on Police-
Bogus criminal justice reforms are endangering police, civilians across USA
[NYPOST] The Bronx suspect, Robert Williams, like many attempted cop-killers, is no stranger to the justice system. Last week, the New York Times

...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...

reported that he has multiple arrests dating to the mid-1990s, including a robbery charge when he was just 14.

After his sentencing in 1995, he was paroled twice. He subsequently returned to prison for violating his parole ‐ twice. The Times also reported that Williams shot someone in 2002 and then carjacked a woman while fleeing. The shooting resulted in a conviction for attempted murder. Despite that conviction and the suspect’s criminal history, Williams was released early from prison in 2017.

The incidents in the Bronx illustrate what seems to be a trend of violence directed at police by habitual criminals. Last summer, in Staten Island, a female NYPD officer was shot by an armed suspect when she attempted to take him into custody. Gregory Edwards had a long criminal history that included convictions arising from two separate shootings.

In Houston, Sgt. Christopher Brewster was allegedly shot and killed by Arturo Solis, who, according to local news reports, has faced multiple charges in the past, including for burglary and assault.

Earlier this month, Nick O’Rear, a police officer in Alabama, was killed in the line of duty allegedly by a suspect with a criminal history that includes 20 arrests and six felony convictions for charges ranging from illegal gun possession to drug distribution.

A few months before allegedly killing O’Rear, the suspect had been released pending a hearing on charges such as weapons possession.

Why were these suspects free?

Yet the trend continues. Last month, a man seen slugging an NYPD officer on a bodycam video was back on the street hours later, thanks to the state’s new bail "reform." Late last year, a teen convicted of second-degree murder for his role in the death of a retired police sergeant in Missouri was sentenced to juvenile detention. He’ll be eligible for release when he’s 21.

All these cases illustrate the disconnect that exists between progressives’ perception of the criminal justice system as unfairly punitive and how that system works in practice. Yet with political momentum currently in favor of leniency and decarceration, more repeat offenders will likely walk free on the streets of American cities.

The risks associated with that problem aren’t evenly distributed. They tend to fall on those living in communities where high crime rates are a fact of life. But by the nature of the work they do, those risks are also disproportionately borne by our cops.

Coupled with the growing antagonism toward police, these exacerbations of the risks inherent in policing at least partly explain why law enforcement departments are struggling to fill vacancies. Anti-police activists may cheer, but a policing shortage won’t bode well for those living in America’s most vulnerable communities, or those left to police them ‐ the primary victims of the system’s failure to incapacitate dangerous offenders.

FM Qureshi wishes Geelani speedy recovery
[DAWN] Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Wormtongue Qureshi
...a Pak political shape-changer. He is undistinguished except for his habit of periodically needing to have his lips reattached...
on Sunday prayed for early recovery of Syed Ali Geelani, the chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, from illness and said that his existence was a great source of encouragement for the people of Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
In a video message, the foreign minister prayed for the APHC leader’s good health and long life.

"You are a rock in your resolve. The way you have represented the unarmed people of Kashmir over the last six decades and became a flag bearer of their right to self-determination, is unprecedented in the history," the foreign minister said.

No worldly favours, oppression, torture or detention could deter Mr Geelani’s resolve, Mr Qureshi said.

He said that after India’s unilateral action of Aug 5, the people who had been opposing Mr Geelani’s viewpoint were now admitting their mistake of wasting their time for believing the Indian government’s false commitments on Kashmir.

The foreign minister said that the people of Pakistain and Azad Jammu and Kashmir living anywhere in the world were praying for recuperation of the Hurriyat leader because Mr Geelani had become a symbol of courage, resolve and the ideology of self-determination.

Knife Attacker Injures Two in Moscow Church
[AnNahar] An attacker injured two people in a Moscow Orthodox church with a knife on Sunday before being arrested, police said, adding they were not treating the incident as terrorism.

The man came running into the altar area of the church in central Moscow and stabbed two assistants to the priest, the parish priest Kirill Sladkov said.

"He looked like an ordinary parishioner and didn't shout anything during the attack," Sladkov said, according to the website of the Moscow Patriarchate.

"He took out a knife and struck a blow to my assistant," later injuring a second person before being apprehended, Sladkov said.

Sladkov later wrote on his Instagram account that both men were out of the hospital and back home.

The 26-year-old alleged attacker, from the Lipetsk region south of Moscow,
...according to Wikipedia, 1% of the Lipetsk oblast population is Muslim, so perhaps our miscreant is just Mafiya, or something equally uninteresting to us...
was overpowered by parishioners who held him until police arrived.

Interior ministry spokeswoman Irina Volk said police had opened an investigation into hooliganism and violence, adding that police also found a "package with a plant-based substance" at the scene, along with a knife and a pair of gloves.

There have been a small number of knife attacks in public places in recent years in Russia, some claimed by the Islamic State

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Parents freak out as Carlos Danger Anthony Weiner lobbies for more access to son’s school
[PAGESIX] Battle lines are drawn at the fancy downtown school that Anthony Carlos Danger Weiner
...aka Hot Dog Tony, the remarkably offensive sex maniac six-term New York congressman who resigned in 2011, then decided everybody had forgotten by 2013, when he decided to run for mayor of New York City...
’s son attends, we’re told, because the school board is considering letting the convicted sex offender back onto its grounds.

Page Six is told that the school has a long-standing policy of only allowing the disgraced pol ‐ who served 16 months in prison for sexting with a 15-year-old ‐ to go as far as its gates.
"Yummy! Maidens of tender years! Some of them as yet untouched! Heh heh! I think I'll go pick up Junior, maybe meet some of his little friends!"
But freaked-out parents had a representative reach out to tell us that former Rep. Weiner has been lobbying to be allowed onto the school grounds to collect his son, Jordan, 8, and attend events such as parent-teacher conferences.

While it’s commonly believed that sex offenders aren’t allowed on school grounds, New York state regulations make an exception if the offender has a child at the school, under certain circumstances. However,
the difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits...
school boards can make the decision to disallow or allow the parent past their gates.

"Parents are very upset," said an insider. "The school has kids that are 16 and 17 ‐ the same age as [the kid] that he was [sexting] with."

Are public hangings the answer?
I suppose you could try it and find out.
[DAWN] THE resolution from the National Assembly to publicly hang those convicted of murdering and sexually abusing children reflects how brutalised our society has become. While the world is forming a general consensus against cruel and inhumane punishments such as hanging, the majority of our politicians feel that a criminal’s barbarity should also be answered with barbarity by the state.

The fact that hangings have shown no decrease in the level of crime is ignored for the sake of rhetoric. If our politicians were indeed perturbed over crimes against children, more funds and attention would have been allocated towards the criminal justice system and the child protection legislation that is already in place.

It has been clear to our policymakers that what is needed is a rethink of the criminal justice system and to implement better child protection laws. For starters, it must be the police’s duty to report a crime related to a child; a hotline should be established for children’s cases in all provinces; identities of children should be kept confidential in closed hearings; there must be better training of law-enforcement agencies, and better and more available forensics; more female medico-legal officers and more women police personnel are required; and there should be a special code for examining vulnerable witnesses in court. This is not news but the lack of real priority accorded to children makes it easier to resort to rhetoric than actual work.

The facts of the Zainab Ansari case are telling. Zainab was the 12th victim in one year in an area of just two kilometres. The same murderer’s DNA had been found in the previous six cases. Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah, then chief justice of the Lahore High Court, while hearing a petition in Zainab’s case, expressed surprise that despite reports of similar incidents in Kasur, none of the cases were brought to court. The state was missing until social media created a public uproar and the ensuing rioting was reported widely on mainstream media. The lesson was that it is better to riot and take to social media than report a crime to the police.

Should Washington, D.C., become the 51st state?
[NEWS.YAHOO] A bill that would make Washington, D.C., the 51st U.S. state was approved by a Democratic-led House committee last week, setting the stage for a vote by the full chamber in the near future. If it passes, as expected, it will be the first time the campaign to bestow statehood on the nation’s capital has been endorsed by one of the chambers of Congress.
Doesn't come as a surprise though. It's chock full of Dem voters.
Republicans in the Senate are expected to swiftly reject the bill, however, continuing a legacy of partisan sparring over the District of Columbia that has been going on for more than two centuries.
Like I said, chock full...
The fight over where the federal government should be located was one of the defining arguments of the early years of American democracy — with Southern states refusing to accept any plan for it to be in the North and vice versa. In 1790, Congress reached a compromise that established a capital district separate from the states along the Potomac River that would be run by the federal government.
You know, the idea of "Federal City," on neutral ground.
Though Washington, D.C., has gradually increased its ability to govern itself over the years — most crucially winning the right to elect its own mayor and council in 1973 — Congress still has the ability to override local decisions, especially on budgetary matters. The city’s 700,000 residents do not elect senators and are represented by a single delegate in the House of Representatives who is barred from voting on bills.
It's the city that gave us Marion "The Bitch Set Me Up" Barry. After he served his time the city elected him mayor again, at which point Congress took over, leaving him as an overt figurehead before he could do more damage. Hizzoner installed as many of his friends and contributors as he could find, to create one of the most inert bureaucracies in the nation.
The effort to increase D.C.’s role in the federal government has been ongoing for decades. The closest it’s come to success was in 1978, when Congress passed a constitutional amendment that would have given the city full representation in Congress. The amendment was never enacted, however, because not enough states ratified it. In a 2016 referendum, 86 percent of Washington residents voted in favor of the district’s becoming a state.
Which is irrelevant, because the case for "Federal City" still remains.

Syria Army Finds Mass Grave near Damascus
[AnNahar] The Syrian army has discovered a mass grave containing around 70 bodies in a former rebel bastion near Damascus, the state news agency reported Monday.

SANA said the victims found in the Eastern Ghouta region were "civilians and security personnel who were executed by terrorist groups".

The densely populated semi-urban area just east of Damascus was controlled by rebel and jihadist factions for around six years until government forces retook it in 2018 after a long and bloody siege.

The state news agency quoted a police brass hat as saying that the killings were believed to have taken place between 2012 and 2014.

The mass grave, near Eastern Ghouta's main town of Douma, is in an area formerly controlled by rebel group Jaish al-Islam
...Liwa al-Islam (Brigade of Islam) was established by Zahran Alloush, the son of Saudi-based religious scholar Abdullah Mohammed Alloush, after Syrian authorities released him from prison in mid-2011 where he had been serving time for his Salafist activism. The group claimed responsibility for carrying out the July 2012 Damascus bombing that killed Defense Minister Dawoud Rajiha, Deputy Defense Minister Asef Shawkat, and Assistant Vice President Hassan Turkmani. It was a driving force behind actions in the Damascus region. It cooperated and conducted joint operations with al-Nusra. In Sptember 2013 Saudi Arabia engineered Liwa al-Islam's merger with fifty other more or less Salafist groups as a counterweight to al-Nusra, which the Learned Elders of Islam considered was growing too powereful...
The siege of Eastern Ghouta ended with a devastating regime offensive that saw at least 1,700 civilians killed before a deal was struck that saw fighters and civilians evacuated to northern Syria.

According to the officials quoted by SANA, many of the victims, among them a women, had been bound and executed with a gunshot to the head.

AFP was not immediately able to verify the information provided by the state news agency.

Swathes of Eastern Ghouta were completely leveled during the siege and the regime offensive, but some residents have returned despite the lack of reconstruction.

Many mass graves have been found in Syria in recent years, mainly in areas formerly controlled by the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. jihadist group.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, more than 380,000 people have been killed since the start of the war in 2011.

Thousands are still missing and Human Rights Watch last week encouraged the authorities in Syria to investigate their fate.

‘Five Army Soldiers Killed’ in Kunduz Attack: MoD
[ToloNews] At least five soldiers were killed in a Taliban
...Arabic for students...
attack on a security checkpoint in northern Kunduz province on Sunday night, the Ministry of Defense said on Monday.

The Taliban attacked a security checkpoint outside of Kunduz city and the festivities continued until 4:30 am Monday morning, local officials said.

However,
some people cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go...
local officials did not provide further details about the attack.

Other sources said that at least 14 soldiers were killed in the attack and two others were maimed.

The Taliban also clashed with the reinforcement forces in the area, sources added.

The Taliban has grabbed credit for the attack.
An Nahar adds:
The attack happened in Shora Khak area of volatile Kunduz province on Sunday, days after US Defense Secretary Mark Esper said an agreement with the Taliban was in place for a "conditions-based" seven-day reduction in violence.

"Unfortunately, five army soldiers were martyred and three wounded," the Afghan defence ministry said in a statement, adding that Taliban fighters also suffered casualties.

Enhamuddin Rahmani, a spokesman for Kunduz police, told AFP the fighting lasted several hours and both sides suffered casualties.

The Taliban's official spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed on Twitter that the militants had killed 19 security forces in the attack.

It is not clear when the reduction in violence will begin. A Taliban official has said it was imminent, and a US official said Friday it would begin "really soon".

#1  Another thing that we don't know is why, with a respiratory-borne illness, are there virtually no children getting infected. I mean, there are no cases of kids less than 15 years old. Does that mean for some strange reason they're not getting infected, or the illness is so mild in children that we're not noticing it? It's very clear the median age is 56 or 59.

Cuz they called it, "Saliva: The Bakery."

Grom,

I've been thinking for a while now that this thing was specifically engineered to be used on Hong Kong. I mean, as satisfying as it would be for the CCP to go in there guns blazing, they can't - the world wouldn't likely tolerate another Tien An Men Square. But if the place is down sick and they go in with medical supplies to take care of people (with the odd arrest here and there), they'd get nothing but praise.

Fauci (the interview at the link) didn't say kids are resistant - he said severity of the disease depends on age.

So for me, since I've a 14 years old son, that's the most important news.

Mike, 3dc

I too wondered why a government would engineer a biological weapon against their own population:
angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) form the virus binds to is 5 times as frequent in east Asian populations (e.g. Chinese) the current estimates are* EastAsians, Japanese, and Han Chinese are the most likely people to become severely sick by the coronavirus with a chance of more than 90% when exposed. Europeans only rank in the 50%, Africans in the 60% range

But then I've noticed It's very clear the median age is 56 or 59.. Come-on: "A totalitarian government seeking to get rid of old - 'economically nonproductive people'" is a cliche in SF.

*Hasty results are not very reliable.

#10  It seems to me that if lung damage is more likely to result in the deep lung pneumonia that’s the actual killer in the approximately 25% of patients who end up with it, it would be more common in older men, who are more likely to have engaged in decades of physical labour while breathing heavily polluted air, and also to have been heavy cigarette smokers.

Iraq
Kurds, Sunni Arabs fear exclusion from Iraq’s new cabinet
[Rudaw] Iraq’s Prime Minister-designate Mohammed Tawfiq Allawi is set to announce his new government within the week, but he has not consulted major Kurdish and Sunni parties about the formation of his cabinet.

Kurdish and Sunni leaders met on Sunday to call for an Iraqi government which is representative of Iraq’s culturally diverse population.

"We are close to a historical achievement represented by finalizing an independent ministerial cabinet composed of competent individuals with integrity, insulated from intervention from any political party," PM-designate Allawi said in a Saturday tweet.

MAXINE: ‘Fancy Parties’ In Beverly Hills Ought To Give CA ‘More Say’ Than Iowa, NH
[DAILYWIRE] Rep. The Ageless and Downright Brilliant Comrade Maxine Impeach 45! Waters
...U.S. Representative for California's 43rd congressional district, serving since 1991, a total of 28.21494 years. A member of the Democratic Party, she is the most senior of the twelve black women currently serving in the United States Congress, and a member and former chair of the Congressional Black Caucus. Before becoming a member of Congress she served in the California Assembly, to which she was first elected back when Disco was in flower, in 1976, which would make it 43.21289 years. She has been a politician for virtually all her adult life. If she was a little brighter she'd be a Communist...
(D-CA) says her home state of Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, should have "more say" in the Democratic Party’s primaries because they have "fancy" big-money parties in Beverly Hills.
That makes sense. Not a lot of sense, but sense. Of a sort. Kinda.
"As you know, we have candidates who fly out to Los Angeles from everywhere to raise money," the California Democrat told CNBC on Thursday.

"As a matter of fact, it had gotten so that you would have two, three, four at a time in Beverly Hills having dinners. And some of our contributors who are very rich were holding, you know, fancy parties, trying to accommodate the request for donations and contributions. And so, you know, the conclusion, the thinking is that if we are supplying tremendous dollars to candidates, we ought to have more say."

California’s primary comes up on March 3 ‐ Super Tuesday ‐ after a handful of other states hold caucuses and primaries. But Waters thinks California should be front and center at all times.

"Beyond that, a lot of people have come to the conclusion that it should not simply be Iowa and New Hampshire and certainly they are not reflective of the makeup of this country," Waters added. "And so, California has a role to play."

Olde Tyme Religion
Woke Archbishop Brands Own Church ‘Racist’
[BREITBART] The Church of England’s most prominent holy man, Justin Welby, said he is "ashamed of our history" and of his supposed advantages as a straight white male.
It's too bad blackface is so un-PC. He could paint himself and join the ranks of the WOGS BAMES.
The Archbishop of Canterbury was speaking ahead of a vote by the Church’s General Synod to "lament, on behalf of Christ’s Church, and apologises for, the conscious and unconscious racism experienced by countless black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) Anglicans in 1948 and subsequent years".
Do you have to pass some kind of test to be Archbishop of Canterbury? I'll bet being Anglican isn't part of it.
1948 was the year the Empire Windrush ship landed hundreds of Caribbean migrants colonists in Britannia, firing the starting gun on a wave of mass migration to the kingdom from its former empire which continues to the present day.
So lemme get this straight: The Brits decide to take this "Commonwealth" thing seriously and open their borders to fellow Empireans. And his Holier-than-Thouness is ashamed of it.
"I am almost beyond words. Personally, I am sorry and ashamed. I’m ashamed of our history and I’m ashamed of our failure," Welby said of his Church’s "conscious and unconscious racism".
I think maybe I see why church membership is declining faster than the number of BBC license holders.
"It’s shaming as well as shocking. It is shocking, but it’s profoundly shaming," he continued, somewhat redundantly, in a speech which even he described as "incoherent".
Unfortunately, he didn't commit seppuku in front of God's altar. Maybe next Sunday.

#4  These fuckers aren't even christian anymore. If God where white they'd be ashamed of Him too. God always sided with his chosen people; clans and communities he would choose, seemingly at whim to side with. 'Jacob I have loved but Esau I have hated'. He's... picky that way.
He didn't go by skin colour, but He was won over by attitudes. Of course, he foreknew some would turn out just right. So God too favoured certain people over others. So does nature.

Did that make them privileged ? I guess it did. So what ? Can the rest of the fucking world grudge them that ? Doesn't that make the complainers all Cain ? Privilege-bashing, do-nothing slackers... fuck 'em all !

As for the black people (not all of them) who are pleased and empowered by this idiot, guilt powered, black supremacy nonsense.... if a darker skin gives you such a bloody complex that you resent anyone fairer than you and proceed to justify your lack of decency and dignity with that, good luck impressing Gawd. Such people should forever remain underprivileged.
