Prosecutor: 3 soldiers charged with sending guns to Chicago
[AP] NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Three soldiers were charged Tuesday in connection with the transfer of dozens of firearms to associates in Chicago, a federal prosecutor said.

Demarcus Adams, 21; Jarius Brunson, 22; and Brandon Miller, 22, were charged with transferring a firearm to an out-of-state resident, making false statements while purchasing a firearm, money laundering, conspiracy, wire fraud and engaging in the business without a firearms license. They are all stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

The investigation began after multiple people were shot and one died in Chicago on March 26, according to the office of Mary Jane Stewart, acting U.S. attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee.

Five of the firearms recovered at the scene had been purchased from dealers in the Clarksville, Tennessee, area, outside Fort Campbell, according to Stewart's office. Adams, Brunson and Miller were the "majority purchasers" of the guns, prosecutors said.

Investigators allege the three purchased 91 firearms from multiple dealers near Fort Campbell beginning in September 2019. The complaint alleges that after the guns were purchased, Miller would provide them to associates in Chicago.

Florida man woman person pleads guilty to bank robbery in Gulfport
[WXXV25] The indictment arose out of the March 22, 2019, robbery of BancorpSouth located on Cowan Road in Gulfport. The case was set for trial on June 28, 2021, but Facce, through her attorney, requested to enter her guilty plea prior to trial.

After receiving the guilty plea, Circuit Judge Randi Peresich Mueller sentenced Facce to the maximum sentence of 15 years in each count to run concurrently.

On March 22, 2019, the Gulfport Police responded to the BancorpSouth located on Cowan Road to an alarm call. Bank employees told police that the suspect entered the bank lobby, and after several minutes, approached a teller window.

Times Square subway attack: Man spit on, slashed in face, police say
[PIX11] A man was hospitalized Wednesday morning after being slashed in the face in a seemingly random attack at the Times Square subway station, police said.

Authorities said it happened on the southbound platform for the No. 1, 2 and 3 lines just after 9 a.m. as the victim was sitting on a station bench.

According to officials, an unidentified man approached him and started talking to him, at which point he removed his headphones and asked, "Are you talking to me?"

This apparently set the man off, who spit in the sitting man’s face and then slashed him across the face with a sharp object, according to police.

Authorities said the victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries, the extent of which were not immediately clear.

No arrests had been made Wednesday morning and the NYPD said the investigation was ongoing.

Less than two hours earlier, an MTA worker was punched in the face on the same platform.

The random assault is the latest in a string of violent mostly peaceful crime surging across the subway system.

Teen clinging to life after smashing stolen car into NYPD cruiser
[NYPOST] Three teens riding in a stolen car struck an unmarked police cruiser — and then smashed into a parked box truck in Brooklyn early Wednesday — leaving one of them clinging to life.

The trio was inside a stolen Chevy Malibu around 2:30 a.m. when they ran the red light and struck the NYPD vehicle at Mother Gaston Boulevard and Livonia Avenue in Brownsville, cops said.

Two cops were taken to the Kings County Hospital Center, and have since been treated and released for minor injuries, police said.

Minutes later, around 2:30 a.m., the Malibu driver rammed into an unoccupied, parked box truck at Atkins Avenue and Linden Boulevard East New York, cops said.

The teens were taken to Maimonides Medical Center — one of them, a passenger, at death's door.

Florida cheerleader, 13, was stabbed a 'horrific' amount of times, sheriff says
[NYPOST] The 13-year-old Florida cheerleader who was found dead Sunday in a remote wooded area of the state was stabbed a "horrific" amount of times, a new report said.

St. Johns County Sheriff Rob Hardwick shared the revelation in a Tuesday interview with WJXT, where he also characterized the death of Tristyn Bailey as a "cold-blooded murder."

Aiden Fucci, 14, a seventh-grade classmate of Bailey’s, has been busted for her slaying.

Details surrounding Bailey’s death had been scarce, but earlier Tuesday, the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said the medical examiner ruled it a homicide caused by "sharp force trauma by stabbing," the report said.

"That being said, I don’t wanna mention the number of times, but it is horrific. It is horrible," Hardwick told the news outlet.

"And the word accident is nowhere involved in this case.

Hilton Head woman was bitten 3 times by copperhead snake. What she did to survive
[Island Packet] The first bite felt like a bee sting.

Susan Conlin O’Neil was walking home from dinner to her Hilton Head Island condo Wednesday night when she took a step down on the sidewalk and felt a pang in her heel.

It was really no big deal. She said to her friends, "something got me!"

Then the second bite came.

And the third.

O’Neil was bitten three times by a copperhead snake on the sidewalk outside her South Forest Beach home. The second two bites were nothing like the first, which she determined was a "dry bite" where the snake injected no venom into her body.

"It felt like someone stuck an electric knife in my leg, like a volt of electricity," she told The Island Packet of the second and third bites. "The pain went up my leg."

O’Neil, who has lived on the island for 27 years, knew she had to get a photo of the culprit and get to the hospital. But in the moments after the bites, all that went out the window.

"One of my biggest problems after the bite was panic: ’What got me? What do I need to do? What’s the immediate first aid? How do I know what kind of snake it was?’" she said. "I’m an RN who’s retired but I spent 20 years in the ER in Chicago. And I panicked."

O’Neil’s friends got her to Hilton Head Hospital, where she was treated for the bite.

But the swelling overtook her left leg below the knee, and the symptoms were making her miserable.

Skipping down to the 'what to do' if bitten:

WHAT TO DO IF YOU’RE BITTEN BY A SNAKE
Patrick Snowman, an ER physician at Hilton Head Hospital, said the best way to handle a snake bite is to avoid getting one in the first place. He said you should never try to pick up or handle a snake, and that you should never step somewhere you can’t see.

"Hilton Head light pollution sensitivity creates a lot of dark spots, you need to be able to see where you’re stepping," he said.

Snowman handles about 15 to 20 snake bites per year as an overnight ER physician.

If you are bitten by a coppherhead, the bite will be immediately painful, and symptoms will begin soon after the bite. Symptoms include swelling, pain, shock, nausea, tingling and numbness and anaphylaxis.

It’s important to get medical treatment at the nearest emergency room immediately, because bites can get serious if they’re not treated quickly.

You shouldn’t try lacerate the bite or try to extract the venom, Snowman said. He added that ice also is not very effective in snake-bite cases.

Here’s what Snowman recommend doing — and not doing — after a snake bite:

  • Do not eat or drink anything.
  • Stay calm and do not run or engage in strenuous activity.
  • Remove all jewelry or watches from affected area.
  • Take note of the snake’s size and pattern or take a photo, but do not try to capture or kill the snake.
  • Get to the nearest emergency room.

Elizabeth Smart opens up about her sex life after traumatic ordeal
[NYPOST] Kidnap survivor Elizabeth Smart has opened up about her sex life with her husband after the horrific ordeal she suffered at the hands of a rapist when she was 14.

The 33-year-old woman has described in her 2013 book "My Story" how she was snatched from her bedroom in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 2002 and forced to the ground at knifepoint before being held for nine grueling months.

Smart said she was treated as a sex object by Brian David Mitchell and as a slave by his wife, Wanda Barzee, who denied her food and water for days at a time.

Mitchell was sentenced in 2011 and is serving two life terms. Barzee was released from prison in 2018 despite pleas from Smart that she be kept behind bars.

Smart, who has since gotten married and become a mother of three children, has now sought on Instagram to answer what she described is one of the most asked questions: "How are you able to have sex after experiencing so much rape and sexual trauma?"

She described the "big differences" between sex and rape that allow her to be intimate with her hubby, Matthew Gilmour.

"Sex is entered into by choice (also known as ’enthusiastic consent’) and is based off a relationship built off of trust and mutual love," Smart wrote.

"Sex is more than just the physical act. It’s about love, connection, and pleasure," she added.

    Meanwhile,
...back at the palazzo, Don Smilzo looked for an avenue of escape. The only window opened a hundred feet above the moat. The nearest of the hired assassins hold a bloody axe.
The window was looking better all the time....

"rape is forced, coerced, manipulative, and often violent mostly peaceful," she added. "Rape not only is often physically painful but is emotionally and spiritually painful and devastating."

How Melting Glaciers Have Accelerated A Shift In Earth's Axis <--- Golly - This Ain't Jolly
[TheGuardian] The redistribution of water has caused the planet to lean and wobble, resulting in the poles moving.

Global Warming: The Glacier Of Greatest Concern - Thwaites Glacier – Present

[AntacticSun.usap] Thwaites Glacier is melting fast because of climate change, causing sea levels to rise the world over. Of all the world's glaciers, it's the one that scientists are most worried that a catastrophic collapse could happen quickly and affect coastal regions everywhere.

"It's not ’If sea level is going to go up,' it's ’When and how much,'" said Erin Pettit of Oregon State University. "The Thwaites project is focused specifically on the sea level rise question and trying to narrow down that."

Thwaites Glacier is a mass of ice the size of Florida along the coast of West Antarctica. It's gradually flowing into the ocean, and since the 1970s, scientists have watched as its pace is speeding up, adding more grounded ice into the ocean each year.

"There's a very intimate connection between sea level and glacier volume," said Sridhar Anandakrishnan of Pennsylvania State University. "These two exchange water continuously, water goes from the ocean to the ice sheet and from the ice sheet back to the ocean... If that exchange is unequal, and in this case if more water leaves the glacier and goes into the ocean, than comes back from the ocean to the glacier, then sea level rises."

That sea level rise isn't confined to remote areas of the globe, but spreads out and affects every coastline in the world. So far the glacier has only contributed a few millimeters of sea level rise, but scientists worry that if the whole West Antarctic Ice Sheet collapses, it could rise significantly more.

NASA was discussing this 5 years ago.

    EARTH WOBBLE
    NASA Research conclusion
"Changes in polar ice appeared to have no relationship to the wobble—only changes in water on land. Dry years in Eurasia, for example, corresponded to eastward swings, while wet years corresponded to westward swings."

In short Melted Ice increases Rain, Rain decreases Droughts, Aquifers fill and the wobble changes climates according to 6 to 14 year Wet/Dry cycles.

Oakland Athletics to start looking at relocating elsewhere
[ESPN] The Oakland Athletics on Tuesday said they will start exploring the possibility of relocating with the blessing of Major League Baseball, a move that could put pressure on local government officials to greenlight a new stadium project that has spent years in limbo.
    How about Kansas City?
The A's, who have played in Oakland since 1968, have prioritized building a waterfront stadium in downtown Oakland at the Howard Terminal site. But after years of failed stadium plans -- and weeks after the organization requested that the city council vote on the $12 billion mixed-use development before its late-July summer recess -- the long-anticipated specter of the A's looking into relocation became a reality on Tuesday.
    Or Philadelphia?
"The future success of the A's depends on a new ballpark," A's owner John Fisher said in a statement. "Oakland is a great baseball town, and we will continue to pursue our waterfront ballpark project. We will also follow MLB's direction to explore other markets."
    Jackson's Hole?
The A's are the lone remaining major professional sports team in Oakland after the NBA's Golden State Warriors moved across the bay to the Socialist paradise of San Francisco
...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964...
and the NFL's Raiders left for Las Vegas. Their pursuit of a new stadium to replace the now-55-year-old RingCentral Coliseum has included multiple sites in Oakland, dalliances with Fremont and San Jose, and two decades without a groundbreaking.

The Howard Terminal project -- in which the A's have proposed privately funding a $1 billion stadium and spending more on a development that would include 3,000 units of affordable housing, office and retail space, and a hotel -- is the latest effort and has been seen as the likeliest to succeed.

"We're hopeful that our really exciting plan for a waterfront ballpark that's privately financed will be taken up by the city council,'' A's president Dave Kaval told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named on Tuesday. I-40 bridge in Memphis could be closed for months, TDOT says
[WREG] Bridge closed for traffic after inspection finds crack.

Officials with the Tennessee Department of Transportation said in a news conference on Memphis on Wednesday that they do not know when the I-40 bridge will be opened after it was closed for emergency repairs Tuesday afternoon.

According to state authorities, Arkansas hired a team to take a look at the bridge as part of routine inspections every two years. The team on the ground saw a fracture Tuesday and immediately called 911 to have the bridge shut down.

The fracture is close to the middle of the steel "M" span, TDOT said. Three plates in a two-foot-wide steel beam had separated by a fraction of an inch and a fourth plate had a crack.

Officially known as the Hernando DeSoto Bridge, the structure carries traffic on I-40 over the Mississippi River between Memphis, Tennessee and West Memphis, Arkansas. It opened in 1973 and carried about 37,000 vehicles a day in 2018, TDOT said. It was last inspected in 2019 and is inspected every two years, TDOT said.

Officials with TDOT said Wednesday they are in charge of maintenance and repairs, with the states of Arkansas and Tennessee splitting the costs for the repairs.

Right now they are in the process of analyzing whether or not it will be safe for their crews to go back out on bridge, for barge traffic to travel underneath it, and whether or not it will even hold its own weight.
This is a very big deal. They've shut down the Mississippi River traffic, too.
Does this mean those who would have driven across that bridge will no longer need gasoline until the bridge is repaired?

#4  Early analysis should tell us if the crack is fresh (no rust) or been there a while.

Then - possibly - they might open it to (brave) automobiles and do daily inspections of the crack. Or close I-40 for two years.

Is the element "fracture critical" or are there redundant structures to carry the load? Given all the hubbub, I suppose it is fracture critical.

    Britain
England second XV rugby team to drop beloved Saxons name as it's deemed racist
    Next up NZ All Blacks
[FoxHole] The Rugby Football Union has become the latest institution to sign up to the woke agenda in deciding to drop "Saxons" from the name of the England Rugby squad’s second team because it does not reflect racial diversity. The team will now be known rather less inspiringly as England A.

The anthem, Swing Low Sweet Chariot, traditionally belted out by England fans at Twickenham is also in the firing line.

It seems to have escaped the RFU’s thinking that the term Saxon is as much cultural as ethnic in modern parlance, indicating the English-speaking people’s way of doing things. Which is probably why the word Saxons passed the political correctness test as recently as 2006 when England A was rebranded to give England’s second team some much-deserved prestige — getting into the England set up, let alone the first XV is brutally competitive.

However, the PC bar has been lifted higher by woke fever that has caught the attention of all public bodies, including the organisation governing England rugby, which as a sport has often rejected banal woke gestures such as taking the knee which is rampant in other sports, particularly football.

In August, three London Saracens players, including world rugby star Billy Vunipola, refused to take the knee before a match against Bristol.

"Though I am a person of colour, I’m still more a person of Jesus," Vunipola told The Good, The Bad and The Rugby podcast. "What I saw in terms of that movement was not aligned with what I believe in."

The England number eight again refused the gesture at the Six Nations curtain-raiser against Scotland in February, after the match he pointed the finger at the Black Lives Matter movement which is frequently accused of being Marxist and areligious. "They were burning churches and Bibles. I can’t support that," he told the media without naming the movement directly.

Vunipola, together with six other England players and most of the Scotland team caused a media sensation for refusing to take the knee. Fans were far more at ease.

The RFU does not appear to be listening to them however and took the decision to revert to England A as part of a wider drive to "reflect the diversity in society".

"We have chosen to revert to the traditional name of ’England A’ for this fixture against ’Scotland A’ as a better representation of our team today," an RFU spokesman said, citing the multi-ethnic makeup of the squad compared to the 2003 vintage that won the World Cup which had only one black player, union and league legend, Jason Robinson.

In October, chairman Andy Cosslett said the RFU needed to "step up its efforts to improve diversity and inclusion across our game".

The RFU has also formally distanced itself from Swing Low Sweet Chariot, despite it being an African-American Christian hymn that opens a window to the plight of 19th century slaves.

During the visit of the People's Deputy from the PLO Viktor Medvedchuk to the Office of the Prosecutor General, he was handed a petition to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention, and also conducted investigative actions. This was announced on Wednesday, May 13, by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General.

The prosecutor's office noted that Medvedchuk became a suspect in the high treason case on May 11. And today he was summoned to the Office of the Prosecutor General to carry out investigative actions, and not to hand over suspicion.

It is noted that on May 11, 2021, Medvedchuk was informed of the suspicion in the manner and manner provided for by the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

"In this regard, he received the status of a suspect from that date (May 11 - ed.)," The Prosecutor General's Office explained.

Today, Medvedchuk and his lawyers were handed a copy of the suspicion to ensure the right to defense.

The prosecutor's office said that after his arrival at the Office of the Prosecutor General, at the request of the MP and his defenders, they were provided with a copy of the report of suspicion handed over on May 11, 2021, in order to ensure the right to defense.

As a reminder, Medvedchuk was briefed on the case at the Prosecutor General's Office today . His lawyer Bohdan Koval said that the hearing on the selection of a preventive measure is likely to be held on Thursday.

As a reminder, on May 11, the SBU conducted searches in Medvedchuk's house . Later, Medvedchuk himself, as well as People's Deputy Taras Kozak, was declared suspicious of treason .

Later, Prosecutor General Irina Venediktova announced what Medvedchuk was suspected of . In particular, he is suspected of re-registering a Ukrainian gas field in Crimea under the "laws" of the Russian Federation.

    From the day before
The politician told reporters that he got acquainted with the suspicion. Medvedchuk's defense was given three hours to get acquainted with the case materials.

On Wednesday evening, May 12, People's Deputy from the OLSZ Viktor Medvedchuk left the Office of the Prosecutor General, where he had come to get suspicion. He said that the prosecutors gave him a copy of the suspicion, but the original was not served. Medvedchuk's statement was broadcast to Нromadske.

Medvedchuk said that he was suspected of committing high treason and violating the rules of war, in particular, it is about plundering national values in the occupied Crimea.

"According to the current legislation, the suspicion was not handed over, but I got acquainted with the suspicion together with the lawyer," he said.

The lawyer of the people's deputy noted that the prosecutors handed over a copy of the report on suspicion. In addition, Medvedchuk's defense was given three hours to study the materials of the case.

"The suspicions, as we were told, were sent yesterday to the Verkhovna Rada Secretariat and to my address of residence," Medvedchuk added.

He also separately added that he had no plans to leave Ukraine.

Medvedchuk's lawyer Bogdan Koval said that the hearing on the selection of a preventive measure is likely to be held on Thursday.

Top U.S. fuel pipeline recovering from devastating ransomware attack
    See also here.
[Reuters via US News] (Reuters) - After a six-day outage, the top U.S. fuel pipeline on Thursday moved some of the first millions of gallons of motor fuels to East Coast states after throwing off a crippling cyberattack.

The Colonial Pipeline Co, which can carry 100 million gallons per day of gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, resumed computer-controlled pumping after adding safety measures. It will take several days for deliveries to fully recover and interruptions are possible, the company said.

The shutdown caused gasoline shortages and emergency declarations from Virginia to Florida, led two refineries to curb production, and had airlines reshuffling some refueling operations.

Motorists' tempers frayed as panic buying led stations to run out even where supplies were available.

The average national gasoline price rose above $3.00 a gallon, the highest since October 2014, the American Automobile Association said, and prices in some areas rose jumped as much as 11 cents in a day.

    HACKERS RESURFACE
As FBI cybersleuths dug into an attack that paralyzed a large part of the U.S. energy infrastructure, the group believed to be responsible said it was publishing data from breaches at three other companies, including an Illinois technology firm.
That’d be the probably Russian DarkSide ransomware corporation, which promised never to be so mean again in its cyber privateering.
It was not known how much money the hackers were seeking and Colonial has declined to comment. But people familiar with the matter said pipeline executives had no intention of paying a ransom. The operator has maintained it took some systems offline as a precaution.

To stem fuel shortages, four states and federal regulators relaxed fuel driver restrictions to speed deliveries of fresh supplies. Georgia suspended sales tax on gasoline until Saturday.

Gulf Coast refiners that move fuel to market on the Colonial Pipeline had cut processing as an alternative pipeline filled to capacity last weekend. Total SE trimmed gasoline production at its Port Arthur, Texas, refinery and Citgo Petroleum pared back at its Lake Charles, Louisiana, plant.

Airlines began refueling planes at their destinations, instead of usual departure points. On Wednesday, Delta Air Lines Chief Executive Ed Bastian said more fuel would be available "hopefully by the end of the week and as long as those predictions come true, hopefully we'll be OK."

#1  Biden's response is to relax a rule preventing companies from paying ransoms to sanctions countries.

Current situation resembles no one locking the front door to their house, and we try to reduce burglaries by arresting the burglars.

Let me suggest instead that we harden our infrastructure a little. Block spoofed UDP packets at the border (I am told this would be easy to do). Require that all products containing software not include hard coded passwords and be user flashable with updates. Maybe even some level of liability for not providing security updates for your products on a timely basis and for at least 5 years. And possibly allowing ISPs to block internet access by known compromised devices. And for God's sake take all critical infrastructure off the public internet. You know, just for starters.

#3  So I just read the oil company paid the ransom. At first blush is the old American lie that we never pay ransoms. Truth is we do, and in some instances, like this one, we should. Oh, ouch, hold the your fire. Here's why. In most instances we pay, when we pay we can track the money. Now we know who they are and we can take them down. All of our lack of confidence in the FBI and CIA, the trackers that do this best are US customs guys, ICE guys. I have watched this process in action and it is much easier, and when the takedowns happen the rest of the underworld takes note.

#4  The history of this pipeline is fascinating. It was built during WW II to avoid U-Boat attacks on tankers between the supply on the Gulf Coast and the refineries & demand in the Northeast (and England.) Government allowed lots of shortcuts in the construction process so it could happen in time to be of use (and it was of GREAT use.) Then after the war, they backed off and allowed prosecution over all those shortcuts. One does wonder if the government is once again playing regulatory games with this pipeline for its own purposes.

Enbridge continues Straits pipeline operation, defying Gov. Whitmer's deadline
    [FREEP]
In defiance of an order by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to cease operations by Wednesday, Canadian oil transport giant Enbridge continued to flow 23 million gallons of crude oil and natural gas liquids through Line 5, its controversial, 68-year-old twin pipelines on the Straits of Mackinac lake bottom.

    Enbridge's reps say
Whitmer's order amounts to attempting to regulate interstate pipeline safety, which the company believes is the sole jurisdiction of the federal government.

    Home Front: Politix
Twenty governors wrote a letter to Joe Biden
    [GovernorSDgov] May 11, 2021

The Honorable Joseph R. Biden, Jr. President of the United States
    The White House
    Washington, D.C. 20500

The Honorable Kamala D. Harris Vice President of the United States
    The White House
    Washington, D.C. 20500

Dear President Biden and Vice President Harris,

We call on you to take action on the crisis at the southern border immediately. Contrary to statements from your Administration, the border is neither closed nor secure. In fact, the Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) reports a staggering surge in recent crossings: 172,000 encounters in March, the highest number in nearly 20 years, as well as 18,890 unaccompanied children, the largest monthly number in history.

The crisis is too big to ignore and is now spilling over the border states into all of our states. Recently, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services called upon many of our states to identify potential housing locations for migrants. In addition, the Department circumvented our states altogether by asking private organizations and nonprofits to house unaccompanied migrant children. Often these facilities lack adequate security. Allowing the federal government to place a potentially unlimited number of unaccompanied migrant children into our states’ facilities for an unspecified length of time with almost zero transparency is unacceptable and unsustainable. We have neither the resources nor the obligation to solve the federal government’s problem and foot the bill for the consequences of this Administration’s misguided actions.

This Administration has enticed a rush of migrants to our border and incentivized an influx of illegal crossings by using irresponsible rhetoric and reversing a slew of policies—from halting border wall construction to eliminating asylum agreements to refusing to enforce immigration laws. Even officials of our neighbor, Mexico, reportedly conveyed concerns that the shift in U.S. policy is stoking illegal immigration and creating business for organized crime. As Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador stated, “They see him as the migrant president, and so many feel they’re going to reach the United

States. We need to work together to regulate the flow, because this business can’t be tackled from one day to the next.”

The cause of the border crisis is entirely due to reckless federal policy reversals executed within your first 100 days in office. The rhetoric of the Biden Administration and the rollback of critical agreements with our allies have led to the inhumane treatment of tens of thousands of children and undermined a fragile immigration system. While the most direct victims of the policy changes will be the children exploited and trafficked by gangs and cartels, the disastrous impact of your polices on America’s recovery will be far- reaching.

Federal, state, and local authorities are overwhelmed, and the situation on the ground is heartbreaking. After a dangerous journey, many children are living in overcrowded conditions with uncertain futures and without parents or loved ones to care for them. Beyond the humanitarian crisis, the lack of border security is a criminal one, threatening the safety of American citizens. The CBP reports a 233% increase in the seizure of fentanyl compared to January last year, exacerbating the nation’s opioid epidemic. Law enforcement officials are recovering drugs, illegal narcotics, and weapons being smuggled across the border by cartels—the same cartels that are also trafficking men, women, and children and jeopardizing their lives.

At a time when our country is trying to recover from a once-in-a-generation pandemic, the last thing we need is a self-created crisis that exploits families, undermines public safety, and threatens our national security. We urge you to take action to end the humanitarian crisis and secure our southern border immediately.

    Sincerely,

    Signed by:

The tunnel will form part of controversial high-speed rail project HS2's first phase, which will link London with the West Midlands.

The BBC takes a look inside the operation to see how it works.

Experimental COVID Injection Deaths Reported To CDC Equal To All Vaccine Death Reports Over Last 20 Years
[WashingtonStandard] The most recent data released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on the number of injuries and deaths reported to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) following COVID vaccines reveals there have been over 157,000 adverse events reported. Of those adverse reactions, according to the CDC, 16,014 consist of serious injuries, and 4,178 of them are deaths.

According to the CDC, from December 14, 2020, through May 5, 2021, over 245 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered in the United States from During this time, VAERS received 4,178 reports of death (0.0017%) among people who received a COVID-19 vaccine. CDC and FDA physicians review each case report of death as soon as notified and CDC requests medical records to further assess reports.

Before going any further, as not to set off the “fact checkers” it is important to point out that just because data is submitted to the CDC through VAERS, this does not in anyway mean that these reactions are related to the COVID-19 vaccine.

Thoughtful analysis at the link, but before i get upset I need to understand how these numbers compare to other vaccines on a per capita basis, given that none are given in such numbers over such a short period of time.

#1  This is what I have been concerned about for my wife and these Covid-19 vaccines. She has to many existing medical conditions most of which outlined by the CDC as risk for her. And her age falls into the average for those affected: 75.1.

While I am far from a defender of the rapidly developed C-19 Vax.

    Some Additional info.

The average number of persons getting the FLU Vax in a year is 1/4 of what the US has done with the C-19 Vax in 6 months.
Plus the Flu Vax has been tested for 45+ years and the C-19 3 to 4 months..

BTW:CDC estimates that the burden of illness during the 2018–2019 FLU season included an estimated 35.5 million people getting sick with influenza, 16.5 million people going to a health care provider for their illness, 490,600 hospitalizations, and 34,200 deaths from influenza..

#3  In addition to making per capita comparisons, we need to consider that - as with the covid itself - many of the deaths attributed to the vaccine are probably deaths only connected to the vaccine by time.

#4  They are pushing the vaccine on people with natural antibodies and in kids with essentially zero chance of dying from COVID. The harder they push, the less I want it.

#5  many of the deaths attributed to the vaccine are probably deaths only connected to the vaccine by time When 100 million people get vaccinated in any given period of time, of course there will be a certain # of them dying of other causes totally unrelated to the vaccine.
Primitive man often held the belief that any death in his in-group was cause by black magic, satanic intervention &/or malign actions of the part of a scapegoat yet to be determined. To primitive minds, there was no such thing as death by natural causes.

Indian Health Ambassador Gets COVID Vaccine Live on TV to Show Everyone How Safe It Is – Dies 2 Days Later
(LifeSiteNews) Vivekh had been designated health ambassador for the Tamil Nadu to help convince people in the region to take coronavirus vaccines and abide by government health guidelines.

Vivekh, an Indian actor and health ambassador for the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, died two days after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine dose earlier this month.

The well-known actor and comedian was admitted to a local hospital on April 16 for cardiac arrest after being vaccinated with Covaxin, an Indian coronavirus vaccine, the day prior. The 59-year-old was brought to the hospital unconscious and underwent a coronary angiogram and angioplasty before his death the following morning, GreatGameIndia reported.

The hospital said that Vivekh suffered acute coronary syndrome with cardiogenic shock and 100% blockage of a blood vessel.

The actor had taken his first dose of Covaxin on Thursday at a televised event with the health secretary of Tamil Nadu to encourage vaccination. Covaxin is still being tested in clinical trials and may result in "serious and unexpected side effects," according to the fact sheet for the jab.

"Of those who have died more than 50% had heart attacks and brain strokes," Dr. N. K. Arora, a member of the National Task Force on COVID-19, said. "Out of those who were hospitalized and who recovered about 20%, too, had heart attack and brain stroke."

Similar incidents of post-vaccination deaths have been reported in the U.S., like that of a healthy, Florida obstetrician who died of a rare blood disorder three weeks after his second dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. The Federal Drug Administration has since linked multiple coronavirus jabs to serious blood clotting issues.

The global rollout of COVID-19 vaccines has been plagued by reports of thousands of suspicious fatalities. No COVID-19 vaccine authorized for emergency use in the United States has been proven to stop viral transmission, and virtually all healthy people who contract the virus survive, especially with certain treatment regimens.
My aunt died Monday completely out of the blue, heart attack? 6 weeks ago she had an annual 4 day deep checkup at Rochester's Mayo. Fantastic health with a resting heart beat of 40. 4 weeks ago she got a vaccine shot (which one?). The Mayo has her body right now, we are waiting for the autopsy results.

#3  Dear Mr. Woodrow, please accept my condolences at the passing of your loved one; to all that time comes, but to have it come prematurely and with undecided circumstances adds more injury and pain of a loss of a loved one to you and your family.
May God help you ease the pain in the coming months and always, remember the goodness of this soul forever.
