NATO Seeks Ways to Continue Support to Afghan Forces: Stoltenberg
[ToloNews] Speaking at a meeting of European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
Defense Ministers on Thursday, NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Originally it was a mutual defense pact directed against an expansionist Soviet Union. In later years it evolved into a mechanism for picking the American pocket while criticizing the cut of the American pants...
Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the drawdown of NATO troops in Afghanistan was underway, but that the end of the Alliance’s mission does not mean the end of NATO’s relationship with Afghanistan.

He said that NATO allies are looking at how they can continue to provide financial and training support to Afghan forces, the Secretary General said.

"We have sent a very clear to Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
that any attack on NATO troops will be met with a forceful response," Stoltenberg said. "The drawdown of NATO troops and the end of the Resolute Support mission is not the end to our partnership with Afghanistan; it’s actually opening of a new chapter and we are now looking into how we can continue to provide support."

He added: "We are looking into ways to provide financial support, help with training and also support international community in Afghanistan."

Stoltenberg said that NATO strongly supported the grinding of the peace processor and negotiated peaceful solution to the conflict in Afghanistan is the best way to maintain the achievements we have made together over the last decades.

US and NATO troops last month announced to end the withdrawal process by Sept. 11. So far, two bases have been handed over to Afghan forces by international troops since May 1, according to the Defense Ministry.

U.S. senators call for one army in Sudan under civilian control
A brilliant idea. All the baby birdies in the nest agree, after all. So of course putting all militias under the same command will work.
[Sudan Tribune] U.S. Senators called to unify all the militias and gangs in Sudan under the control of the civilian government.

Senators Christopher Coons
...D - Delaware...
and Chris Van Hollen
...D - Maryland...
concluded a visit to Khartoum on Wednesday where they held a presser before leaving the country.

The two politicians voiced their support for the democratic transition in Sudan and vowed to support the ongoing efforts to bring Sudan Æthiopia and Egypt to stick a deal over the GERD filling and operation.

Speaking about the transition in Sudan, Senator Coons said they support the reforms undertaken by the civilian government of Abdallah Hamdok to achieve democratic change in the country.

He further called for the formation of a unified army including all the militias and gangs, under the umbrella of the civilian government.

Also, he praised the steps by the Sudanese to normalize relations with Israel including the signing of the Abraham Accord and the repeal of the boycott law.

"I look forward to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle in the Senate to support Sudan’s transition towards a freer, more open, and more inclusive society," wrote in a tweet released on Wednesday.

Coons was warmly welcomed by the Sudanese government officials in Khartoum on Tuesday for his efforts in support of the Sudanese revolution and the country removal from the list of state sponsors of terrorism.

Senator Van Hollen, for his part, reiterated their support for the democratic reforms in Sudan and expressed willingness to support efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

We want to be partners and to have good relations. We support the transition towards democracy, peace and justice, he added.

Turkey Says Foreign Mercenaries Should Leave Libya, but It Has Accord with Libyan Govt

...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund...
and Germany agree that all foreign mercenaries in Libya need to leave the country, but Ankara has a bilateral agreement with the Libyan government for its troops to be stationed there, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Thursday.
On Wednesday, German Chancellor Angela Merkel
...chancellor of Germany and the impetus behind Germany's remarkably ill-starred immigration program. Merkel used to be referred to by Germans as Mom. Now they make faces at her for inundating the country with Moslem colonists...
told Ottoman Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan that the withdrawal of foreign troops from Libya would be an "important signal" as both leaders vowed to support the new interim government, a German government front man said.

Speaking at a news conference with his German counterpart Heiko Maas in Berlin, Cavusoglu said Ottoman Turkish troops in Libya were there under agreement with Libya's previous Government of National Accord and should not be confused with the foreign mercenaries stationed there.

Facebook blasted by GOP lawmaker as smugglers, cartels organize migrant groups: 'Wild and unconscionable'
[FoxNews] Rep. Kat Cammack, R-Fla., joined "Fox & Friends" and discussed sending a letter to Facebook after she reportedly founds ads for human smugglers and cartels on the platform. Cammack said migrants are being organized via Facebook communications for illegal border crossings.

“I figured, hey, I'm a millennial, I'm pretty savvy with Facebook, I'll do a quick search. And just this morning at six o'clock, as I'm sitting down to do this, this interview with you guys, I pull up ‘viaje a Estados Unidos’ and lo and behold, a page with directions, with routes, prices. Six grand to come to the United States. Ninety-three hundred to get to San Antonio. It takes a simple search of ‘get to the frontera.’ And that is all it takes to find out exactly who to pay, how to get here and how you're going to get smuggled across.

“And they even talk about in these ads how you can take a six-year-old or under or if you're a single adult, what they're going to do to help get you across. It's absolutely nuts.“

Why France is losing one religious building every two weeks
[CatholicNewsAngency] One religious building is disappearing in La Belle France every two weeks.

That is the conclusion of Edouard de Lamaze, president of the Observatoire du patrimoine religieux (Observatory of Religious Heritage) in Gay Paree.

He is raising the alarm in the French media about the gradual disappearance of religious edifices in a country known as the "eldest daughter of the Church" because the Frankish King Clovis I embraced Catholicism in 496.

Lamaze told CNA in an interview that in addition to one religious building disappearing every two weeks -- by demolition, transformation, destruction by fire, or collapse -- two-thirds of fires in religious buildings are due to arson.

While these statistics include buildings belonging to all religious groups, most of them concern Catholic monuments, which still represent a large majority in La Belle France, where there are roughly 45,000 Catholic places of worship.

"Although Catholic monuments are still ahead, one mosque is erected every 15 days in La Belle France, while one Christian building is destroyed at the same pace," Lamaze said. "It creates a tipping point on the territory that should be taken into account."

Lamaze believes that on average more than two Christian monuments are targeted every day. Two-thirds of these incidents concern theft, while the remaining third involve desecration.

According to the most recent figures from La Belle France’s central criminal intelligence unit, 877 attacks on Catholic places of worship were recorded across the country in 2018 alone.

"These figures have increased fivefold in only 10 years," Lamaze said, noting that 129 churches were vandalized in 2008.

"At the beginning of the 1970s, writer and journalist Michel de Saint Pierre published a book entitled églises en ruine, Eglise en péril ["Churches in ruin, endangered Church"], in which he already sounded the alarm. But the situation has heightened tenfold, or even hundredfold, since then."

Currently, 5,000 Catholic buildings are potentially in danger of disappearing.

Apart from the growing hostility to which they are subject, these religious sites are also suffering from deep negligence on the part of public authorities.

This state of affairs is partly explained by the fact that, by virtue of the 1905 law on the Separation of the Churches and the State, municipalities became the owners of La Belle France’s religious buildings. In many cases, they have been unable to meet the costs of maintaining the sites.

"These buildings have not been maintained for over a century, and they have never been subject to restoration work or protection measures against theft or fire," Lamaze said.

He explained that only 15,000 Catholic sites are officially protected as historical monuments, while the other 30,000 buildings are practically left to decay.

He continued: "Fires are also sharply increasing because buildings are more and more dilapidated, and this negligence also attracts a lot of thefts of paintings, statues, or gold chalices..."

Although French cathedrals benefit from a special status and are owned by the state, they have not been spared in the wave of fires that have hit Catholic sites in recent years. The blaze at Notre-Dame de Gay Paree in 2019 was preceded by a fire at the Cathedral Saint-Alain of Lavaur in Tarn, southern La Belle France, and followed by fires at the cathedrals of Rennes and Nantes in 2020.

"The current minister of culture is seeking to establish a protection charter, but the situation is extremely serious and, alas, I don’t see any real awareness growing, nor any sense of responsibility in the face of this crucial challenge for our national heritage," Lamaze said.

Iraqi President Stresses: PMF Must Be Subject to State Authority
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] Iraqi President Barham Salih indicated that the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) were formed at a time when ISIS stormed djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
and the country was facing a crisis, however, all these forces must now be subject to state authority.

Salih confirmed that there was an agreement between Baghdad and Washington on the complete withdrawal of US troops from Iraq.

Baghdad and Washington do not want a permanent US military presence in Iraq, adding that Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
is "our neighbor and we want to integrate it into the regional framework, but we are also keen on maintaining our illusory sovereignty."

Speaking during an interview broadcast live online with the Beirut Institute think tank, Salih called for international cooperation to solve regional conflicts.

The president also addressed the problems of al-Hol camp, saying it housed many imported muscle, and Iraq alone couldn't deal with the issue, urging international cooperation on the matter.

Salih also pointed out that the protest movement that swept Iraq in 2019 had an important goal as Iraqi youth erupted into the streets demanding reforms. He stressed that getting out of the decades of conflict required political will and a decision from the Iraqis themselves.

Iraq faces many regional challenges, said Salih, noting that his country is trying to bring the opposing parties together.

Salih also stated that most Iraqis want to move forward with the help of regional partners and friends to build a prosperous country.

"We do not want Iraq to turn into an area for conflicts," asserted the President.

Massive fire breaks out near Iran's Bushehr nuclear power plant - Watch

Jewish Lightning?
A massive fire broke out in Iran’s southwestern city of Bushehr near the Islamic Republic's only functioning nuclear power plant late on Friday night, the semi-official Fars News Agency reported on Saturday.

Last July, the city of Bushehr saw another large fire break out at the Delvar Shipyard. Iran has been witnessing dozens of mysterious fires and explosions across the country since mid-2020, many of which have taken place near nuclear facilities.
