ICE blasts 'dangerously flawed' NYC sanctuary laws for letting Guyanese illegal immigrant, 21, walk free without bail just weeks before he 'raped and murdered a 92-year-old woman'
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • ICE said on Monday that NYC had ignored its detainer for Reeaz Khan, 21

  • Khan was freed with no bail in November on assault and gun charges

  • He was slated for deportation and released despite ICE request to hold him

  • On Friday he was arrested again and charged with sexual abuse and murder

  • Maria Fuertes, 92, was found dead on a Queens street on January 6

  • Mayor Bill de Blasio's office fires back at ICE for 'politicizing' the murder

Khan told detectives that he was simply walking through the area when he came across Fuertes lying on the pavement, the The New York Post reported.

He claims he was trying to help her up when 'he fell down, his belt broke, his pants fell down and his penis fell near her vagina'.

Khan told detectives that at that moment 'something came over him' and he 'lifted up Fuertes' skirt and try to put his penis inside of her,' according to the Post.

Khan reportedly admitted to suffering 'uncontrollable urges,' and decided to act upon them.

Days after his arrest, Khan totally denied the charges in a jailhouse interview, saying he had no need to rape an elderly woman because he already had a girlfriend.

However, despite the young man's denials, most, including his own father do not believe him.

'You make your kids, but you don't make their minds,' father Afraz Khan said. 'We're very sorry for what happened. Our sympathies go out to that woman's family.'

Khan is currently being held without bail on Rikers Island. He is charged with murder, sexual abuse, contact by forcible compulsion, and sexual abuse against a person incapable of consent.
According to the local CBS station, Mr. Khan’s family tipped off the police.
Jihad Watch pegged him as Muslim, possibly based in his family name, which is common in the former Moghul empire.

Look in the mirror, putz.

What's behind Haftar's refusal to sign Libya deal?
[AlAhram] Military strongman Khalifa Haftar
...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy, so it's kind of hard to describe him as a Qadaffy holdover. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. In 1993, while living in the United States, he was convicted in absentia of crimes against the Jamahiriya and sentenced to death. Haftar held a senior position in the anti-Qadaffy forces in the 2011 Libyan Civil War. In 2014 he was commander of the Libyan Army when the General National Congress (GNC) refused to give up power in accordance with its term of office. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all...
's reluctance to sign up to a Ottoman Turkish-Russian orchestrated ceasefire accord underlines the complexity of Libya's conflict and pressures exerted by key foreign players, analysts say.

"Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Cairo and Gay Paree, the direct or indirect supporters of his military campaign... were not agreed" on the deal. "This makes his refusal logical."
He left Moscow on Tuesday without signing a permanent truce aimed at ending nine months of fighting against the UN-recognised Government of National Accord (GNA) led by Fayez al-Sarraj.

Egypt's Sisi opens largest military base in Red Sea as drills conclude
[AlAhram] The Barnis base is the largest in the Red Sea

Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi opened on Wednesday the largest military base in the Red Sea as training drills that began last week concluded, a presidential front man said.

Located on the Red Sea coast near the country's southern frontier, the advanced Barnis base is aimed at "securing the country's southern coasts, protecting economic investments and natural resources and facing security threats in the Red Sea," front man Bassam Rady said in a statement.

The base, home to land, air and naval forces, is also designed to secure global navigation extending from the Red Sea to the Suez Canal and associated economic areas, the statement continued.

President El-Sisi attended the conclusion of the Northern Military Region's Kader manoeuvres which involved air and naval forces in a ceremony attended by Arab and foreign leaders, including Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, Saudi Vice Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz and Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov.

The 155-acre base houses naval and air bases, a military hospital and a number of combat and administrative units as well as shooting and training fields for all kind of weapons. It also includes an international airport, a seawater desalination plant and container storage yards.

"The Barnis base was established in a record time within a few months to be one of the Egyptian military fortresses on the strategic south with a striking military force striking in the land, sea and air to tackle regional and international developments, which strengthens the global classification of the Egyptian Armed Forces among world armies," the statement added.

In 2017, El-Sisi inaugurated the Mohammed Naguib Military Base, located in al-Hammam area, west of Alexandria, which is the largest in the Middle East and Africa.

S. Arabia appoints princess as Unesco representative
[DAWN] Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
has named Princess Haifa al-Mogrin as its representative to Unesco, a rare female appointment to an international body, as the ultra-conservative country works to revamp its image.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman
...Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia as of 2016. The Turks hate him, so he must be all right, despite the occasional brutal murder of Qatar-owned journalists...
has been on a modernisation drive, seeking to project a moderate, business-friendly image to boost investment and help diversify the economy away from oil.

"King Salman
...either the largest species of Pacific salmon or the current Sheikh of the Burnin' Sands, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Lord of Most of the Arabians...
has approved the delegation of Prince Haifa as permanent representative to Unesco," the United Nation’s cultural agency, the official Saudi Press Agency said on Wednesday.

The announcement comes almost a year after the kingdom appointed its first woman ambassador to the United States, Princess Rima bint Bandar.

Saudi Arabia has recently eased restrictions on women ‐ including allowing them to drive and receive passports and travel abroad without permission from male relatives.

Britain
Fears over race relations affected Manchester police probe into child sex grooming gang, report suggests
[Independent] Investigation identified 57 potential victims and 97 suspects in Manchester ‐ but almost no action taken amid fears of inciting racial hatred
But now they are going to finish the investigations, then try, convict, and jail the guilty parties, followed by going after all those who refused to act in the first place, right?
Dozens of teenage girls suspected of being groomed and abused in Manchester by gangs of men from Asian backgrounds were failed because police feared upsetting race relations, a new probe has suggested.
Uh huh. And how long has justice been delayed?
Victims repeatedly alerted officers about sexual assaults, giving names and addresses of those involved, but, in almost all cases, no action was taken.

Now, a bombshell report suggests Greater Manchester Police and the city council shelved an investigation into what was happening at least partially because of the "many sensitive community issues" they felt faced with.

Kurds file criminal complaint against Iran mosque in Germany for terrorism
[Jpost] The popular German news and commentary website Tichys Einblick first published the complaint filed with the local prosecutor’s office.

Ali Ertan Toprak, the chairman of the Kurdish community in Germany, on Tuesday lodged a formal criminal complaint against the Iranian regime-controlled Islamic Center of Hamburg, the owner of the Imam Ali Mosque, for its support of terrorism.

According to the complaint, "The Imam Ali Mosque serves as a meeting place and event location for the meetings of this association as well as of individuals in particular, who work as supporters of terrorists, terrorist organizations and various other sponsors of terrorist activities."

The complaint, which was sent to prosecutor Jörg Fröhlich, further stated that "the institution [Islamic Center of Hamburg] in its entirety as well as each board member as an individual and as a community, and also the members...fulfill the act of supporting forces of Evil as individuals and terrorist associations."

The popular German news and commentary website Tichys Einblick first published the complaint filed with the local prosecutor’s office.

The Jerusalem Post reported that a group of 600 pro-Iranian regime Islamists attended a memorial service in early January at the Islamic Center in Hamburg to mourn the death of the EU- and US-designated terrorist Qasem Soleimani.

The US administration said it eliminated Soleimani on January 3 because he planned terrorist attacks against American diplomats.

The mourners from the Islamic Center praised Soleimani as a "heroic martyr."

The criminal complaint states the Islamic Center’s "board of directors and the association's members work as an extended arm of the Tehran revolutionary leadership...and are actively involved in the dissemination of Islamist ideas and the support of related activities at home and abroad."

According to the complaint, "all of the association's activities can also be seen as direct and indirect support, probably also of a financial nature, for forces of Evil and terrorist organizations."

The complaint noted that the Islamic Center honored Soleimani and he served as the head of the Quds Force that is responsible for operations outside of Iran’s territory for Tehran’s regime. The Kurdish community leader wrote the Quds Force provides "financial and material aid to terrorist organizations, for example, Hezbollah."

The Islamic Center of Hamburg is also a stronghold of Hezbollah members in Germany. According to German intelligence reports, there are 1,050 Hezbollah operatives in Germany. Chancellor Angela Merkel
...chancellor of Germany and the impetus behind Germany's remarkably ill-starred immigration program. Merkel used to be referred to by Germans as Mom. Now they make faces at her for inundating the country with Moslem colonists...
refuses to ban the entire Hezbollah structure in the federal republic.

Soleimani was listed as number 15 on the current Europe
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
an list of terrorists, wrote the complaint.

Albania expels 2 Iranian diplomats
[IsraelTimes] Albania’s Foreign Ministry expels two Iranian diplomats for activities "not in line with their status."

A ministry statement says the two diplomats, Mohammad Ali Arz Peimanemati and Seyed Ahmad Hosseini Alast, are declared persona non grata and asked to "immediately" leave Albania.

In December 2018, Albania expelled two other Iranian diplomats for "violating their diplomatic status" by allegedly engaging in unspecified illegal activities that threatened the country’s security.

Albania is home to about 2,500 members of the Iranian exile opposition group Mujahedeen-e-Khalq, which moved there from Iraq.

Judge blocks Trump's attempt to let governors refuse refugees
On to the Supreme Court!
[WASHINGTONTIMES] A federal judge ordered a halt Wednesday to the Trump administration’s plan to give states and localities a veto over refugees being sent into their territory, saying the law doesn’t allow them a say.

The ruling is a major victory for immigrant rights groups, who had feared some communities would shut their doors thanks to President Trump’s executive order last year establishing the veto policy.

Judge Peter J. Messitte, an appointee of President Clinton to the U.S. District Court in Maryland, issued an injunction stopping the policy just days before it was to kick in.

UN Security Council reviews situation in occupied Kashmir
[DAWN] The United Nations
...an idea whose time has gone...
Security Council (UNSC) held a meeting on Wednesday on Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
and reviewed the situation in the India-occupied valley.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Wormtongue Qureshi
...a Pak political shape-changer. He is undistinguished except for his habit of periodically needing to have his lips reattached...
, currently on a mission to defuse tensions between the United States and Iran, also reached New York on Wednesday afternoon and met UN leaders before proceeding to Washington.

His first meeting was with UN Secretary General António Guterres
...Portuguese politician and diplomat, ninth Secretary-General of the United Nations. Previously, he was the UN High Commissioner for Refugees between 2005 and 2015. He was the Prime Minister of Portugal from 1995 to 2002 and was the Secretary-General of the Socialist Party from 1992 to 2002. He served as President of the Socialist International from 1999 to 2005. In both a 2012 and 2014 poll, the Portuguese public ranked him as the best Prime Minister of the previous 30 years...
, followed by a meeting with the President of the UN General Assembly, Tijjani Muhammad-Bande.

Although the UNSC meeting took place behind closed doors, Chinese Ambassador Zhang Jun spoke to journalists outside the chamber, confirming that the council had reviewed the situation in the occupied land.

"We had a meeting on Jammu and Kashmir," he said. "The Security Council heard a briefing from the secretariat on the situation."

The ambassador recalled that recently Mr Qureshi had written letters to the Security Council to pay attention to the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

"The issue of India and Pakistain is always on the agenda of the Security Council," said the Chinese ambassador while pointing out that "recently, we have also seen some tensions."

Asked what China’s position on the situation in Kashmir was, he said: "Our position is very clear." China recognises Kashmir as a territory disputed between India and Pakistain and openly supports Islamabad’s demand for a plebiscite to enable the Kashmiri people to decide their own future.

ANF seeks SC nod to re-arrest Rana Sanaullah
[DAWN] The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Wednesday sought permission from the Supreme Court to take into custody PML-N leader and former Punjab
1.) Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots....

law minister Rana Sanaullah through a petition challenging the grant of bail to him by the Lahore High Court.

The LHC had on Dec 23, 2019 ordered the release of Rana Sanaullah against two surety bonds of Rs1 million each in the drug trafficking case.

In its appeal moved through Advocate Raja Ameen Minhas, the ANF requested the Supreme Court to recall the high court verdict and grant it permission to re-arrest the PML-N leader.

Mr Sanaullah was arrested by the ANF from a picket near Ravi tool plaza on Lahore Motorway in July last year for allegedly possessing 15 kilograms of heroin.

The PML-N had filed his first post-arrest bail petition in a special court on Aug 8, which was dismissed on Sept 20, 2019.

Iran's secret underground 'missile city' unveiled
[Jpost] The Iranian Tansim news agency released images of the Islamic Theocratic Republic's underground "missile cities," which hold hundreds of missiles and solid-fuel rockets ready-to-fire under five levels of concrete, Radio Farda reported on Tuesday.

According to Radio Farda, Tansim also reported that two out of the 15 missiles that were fired at Ain al-Assad airbase in Iraq and the Erbil airport in Iraqi Kurdistan targeting US troops fell on the republic's territory.
Radio Farda shares the photos here.
Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps Airspace Force Commander Ali Hajizadeh claimed that Iran's missile depots were scattered around various parts of the country and are held in bunkers hidden 500 meters (1640 feet) underground in the state's mountains.

The IRGC has claimed for the past six years that it has built three underground "missile cities," showing tunnels packed with solid-fuel rockets, as well as mid-range ballistic missiles.

The unveiling of the republic's underground missile depot came after La Belle France, Britannia and Germany formally triggered the dispute mechanism in Iran's nuclear deal on Tuesday, formally accusing Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. of violating the agreement.

The countries emphasized that they are "not joining a campaign to implement maximum pressure against Iran," adding that they hope to "bring Iran back into full compliance with its commitments under the JCPOA [nuclear deal]."

German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said it was important to save the deal "because it prevents Iran from getting a nuclear bomb." Israeli military intelligence reported that the Islamic Theocratic Republic would be able to develop a nuclear bomb within a year.

Former deputy director-general for safeguards at the International Atomic Agency said last week that from the end of January, Iran will have approximately two months to break out to a nuclear bomb ‐ a far shorter estimate than the one set by Israeli intelligence.

Also last week, Iran threatened Greece for possibly joining a US-led coalition against the republic following Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis' statement saying "We are allies with the US, so we stand by our allies through difficult times."

"The Islamic Theocratic Republic of Iran has made it very clear that in the event of a US-led war against the country, the concession of [military] bases by any country to the American invader will be considered a hostile act and Iran reserves the right to respond in a clear and decisive manner," Iran's embassy in Greece said.

Pro-Iranian militias have been attacking US interests in Iraq including the US embassy in Baghdad's fortified Green Zone for several weeks, with the latest attack being a "fierce" rocket attack on Tuesday. Five rockets were launched toward US army base Camp Taji. No casualties have been reported.

#8  Here's one of their "underground cities" at Kermanshan. There are over 50 bunkers, either weapons storage or munitions storage. There are about a dozen sites like these in the country, and the US knows where ALL of them are. Those bunkers may be able to protect their weapons, but a couple of dirty 1Mt nukes will kill all the launch crews. No launch crews, no launches.

Rouhani asks military to apologise for holding back plane information

is run, after a wave of angry protests over the accidental downing of a Ukrainian airliner.

The Kiev-bound Boeing 737 was shot down in a catastrophic error shortly after takeoff from Tehran, killing all 176 people aboard.

One week on from the disaster, Rouhani called for "national unity" in remarks broadcast live on state television
... and if you can't believe state television who can you believe?
"If there was a delay" by the armed forces to release information about what happened, "let them apologise", he said.

Rouhani also sought a full explanation after it took Iran days to admit the airliner had been mistakenly shot down.

The blunder sparked four consecutive nights of protests in Tehran calling for those responsible to resign or be prosecuted, leading to at least 30 arrests.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said they were demonstrating after being deceived for days.

"In Iran... people can state their views. Sometimes they state their views in excessive ways, sometimes the reaction is excessive," he said in New Delhi.

"But the fact of the matter is, (over the) last few nights we’ve had people in the streets of Tehran, demonstrating against the fact that they were lied to for a couple of days."

Video indicates Ukraine jet was hit by two Iranian missiles, person who shared video online detained
[IsraelTimes] Security camera footage could explain why plane’s transponder was not working when it was hit by fatal missile.

New video footage has emerged showing two Iranian missiles tearing through the night sky and hitting a Ukrainian passenger plane, sending the aircraft down in flames and killing all 176 passengers and crew on board.

The projectiles were fired 30 seconds apart and explain why the plane’s transponder was not working as it hurtled to the ground ‐ it was disabled by the first strike, before being hit by a second, said the New York Times

...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...

, which published the verified security camera footage Tuesday.

The blurry film, shot from a rooftop in a village four miles from an Iranian military site, shows the Kiev-bound plane on fire and circling back to Tehran’s airport, the Times said. Minutes later, the aircraft went kaboom! and crashed.

Tehran had for days denied Western claims based on US intelligence that the Boeing 737 had been downed by a missile.

It came clean on Saturday when Revolutionary Guards aerospace commander Brigadier General Amirali Hajizadeh acknowledged a missile operator had mistaken the plane for a cruise missile and opened fire independently.

President Hassan Rouhani

said Tuesday Iran’s judiciary "must form a special court with a high-ranking judge and dozens of experts... The whole world will be watching."

"Anyone who should be punished must be punished."

The office of Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he spoke to Canada’s premier Justin Trudeau

on Tuesday for a third time since the crash, with the latter asking for help from Kiev in liaising with Iranian authorities to help identify bodies of Canadian citizens.

Person who shared video of Iranian missile hitting plane detained — report

[IsraelTimes] A person who shared video online of an Iranian missile hitting a Ukrainian passenger plane has been taken into custody by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, Reuters reports, quoting the Fars news agency.

The Fars report says the investigation will be published, without elaborating.

The Revolutionary Guard admitted over the weekend to shooting down the plane, killing all 176 people on board.

Iran’s judiciary yesterday announced arrests in connection to the missile strike on the plane, but didn’t specify how many people were detained or name them.
