#7  Thanks, Badanov. I had seen his life and times closer than I could ever have imagined in retrospect, chiefly by odd coincidence. Once, I even met him briefly in NYC a million years ago when he spoke at a uncheon.

Something always left me somewhat reticent; I wondered that he wasn't going to pull a Perot stunt. God forgive me.

We all owe that good man so much it is hard to imagine. Whatever, who ever happens next the divide between the deep state and the great reset, and living as free men and women in this world is laid out starkly before us.

Somali, African Union forces intensify operations in Al-Shabab hideouts
[Garowe] African Union

Death Eater groups in the southern region, an official said.

The AU mission said the joint forces conducted a dawn attack on Mishaani and Doonka daafeedow enemy locations near its military base in Beledamin where several al-Shabaab snuffies were killed.

"These precise offensive operations in our area of responsibility, which we jointly conducted with the Somalia Security Forces, are part of a series of ongoing combat operations aimed at further degrading al-Shabaab capabilities," William Nabasa, commander of Ugandan troops serving under AMISOM said in a statement issued on Friday evening.

Nabasa said al-Shabaab had been using hideouts in Mishaani, Camp, and Doonka daafeedow locations to attack AMISOM bases as well as to terrorize civilians in the Lower Shabelle region.

The AU mission said the allied troops also hit al-Shabaab hideout in Adimole on Feb. 12 in another on-the-spot operation.

Nabasa said the troops have identified, successfully detonated, and recovered a number of improvised bombs (IEDs) planted by the bully boyz on local roads and along main supply routes, targeting the troops and civilian vehicles.

He said the joint operations are planned to flush out enemy pockets, securing main supply routes linking towns, cities, and key population centers within AMISOM's area of responsibility, and consolidating overall security.

Three Turkish Military Planes Land in Western Libya
[LibyaReview] Italian radar website ItaMilRadar, specialised in monitoring military aircrafts, said it had monitored 3 military cargo aircrafts belonging to the Ottoman Turkish Air Force landing in western Libya on Friday morning.

Flight A400M departed from Ankara and landed in Misrata, while a C-130H landed in al-Watiya Air Base, the Italian website reported. It added that, another A400M landed somewhere in western Libya.

Ankara has continued to send military aircrafts to Libya. The Sick Man of Europe Turkey

has rejected the ceasefire agreement, signed on the 23rd of October, between the Libyan parties in Geneva. It continues to violate the terms of the agreement by training the outgoing Government of National Accord (GNA) forces. The agreement calls for the freezing of all foreign military pacts with Libya until a new government is formed.

The agreement also stipulates the withdrawal of all mercenaries and officers from the country. A number of Libyan politicians have called for the closure of Libyan airspace to Ottoman Turkish aviation.

School children abducted in Nigeria's Niger state released, governor says
[AlAhram] Kidnappings for ransom by gangs, many of whom carry guns and ride cycle of violences, are common across many northern Nigerian states.
The so-called bandits are believed to launch attacks from Rugu forest, which straddles Zamfara, Katsina, Kaduna and Niger states.
Gunmen in Nigeria on Saturday released 42 people, including 27 students, who were kidnapped from a boarding school last week in the north-central state of Niger, the state's governor said.

Their release comes just a day after a separate raid on a school in Nigeria's Zamfara state where button men seized more than 300 girls.

Last week, twenty-seven students, three staff and 12 members of their families were kidnapped by an armed gang who stormed the Government Science secondary school in the Kagara district of Niger state at around 2 a.m., overwhelming the school's security detail. One boy was killed during the raid.

"The Abducted Students, Staff and Relatives of Government Science Collage Kagara have regained their freedom and have been received by the Niger State Government," Governor Abubakar Sani Bello said in a tweet.

Nigeria president rules out amnesty for militant bandits

[AlMasdar] Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has warned against the ethnic profiling of criminals in the battle against insecurity, ruling out the possibility of granting amnesty to criminals. The president promised to deal decisively with bandidos, kidnappers, and bully boyz threatening national security.

Buhari’s stance comes after several northern leaders called for amnesty for repentant bandidos. Buhari said, "Nigeria is battling with different dimensions of security challenges," adding that he has "ordered security chiefs to devise new strategies."

There is growing public anger over the violence, prompting the president to replace his military high command in January 2021.

Arabia
Blast-hit Israeli cargo ship anchors in Dubai port for repairs
[Times of Israel]An explosion-hit, Israeli-owned cargo ship in the Gulf of Oman anchored in Dubai on Saturday morning, after a blast on Friday forced the vessel to head to the nearest port.

Satellite-tracking data from website MarineTraffic.com showed the stricken ship, the MV Helios Ray, arriving at the Dubai port at around 11:00 a.m. Saturday.

The ship had nearly entered the Arabian Sea Friday morning before it suddenly turned around and began heading back toward the Strait of Hormuz, according to MarineTraffic.com. The vessel, a Bahaman-flagged cargo ship carrying vehicles, was in transit from Saudi Arabia to Singapore.

Hebrew media quoted unnamed Israeli officials as saying they believe Iran was responsible for the Friday explosion, which did not disable the ship or injure its crew of 28 members, but forced it ashore for repairs.

A maritime risk intelligence company with a UK address and number, Ambrey Intelligence, tweeted a compilation of pictures said to be of the damage to the vessel. The veracity of the photos could not be confirmed.

Ungar told Channel 13, "The crew heard an explosion. There was a blast, there’s a hole, there’s damage. There will be a check when the ship reaches port." He said the holes in the side of the ship were around 1.5 meters (yards) in diameter.

While details of the explosion remained unclear, two American defense officials told the AP that the ship had sustained two holes on its port side and two holes on its starboard side just above the waterline in the blast.
Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. Three times is enemy action. Four times and it's Iranians.
A concise bit of wisdom. Or possibly experience...
The officials said it remained unclear what caused the holes. They spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity to discuss unreleased information on the incidents.

rebels killed around 50 combatants, including a special forces commander, a government source said Saturday.

Earlier this month, the Houthis resumed a push to capture Marib city, 120 kilometres (75 miles) east of the rebel-held capital Sanaa. The city lies close to some of Yemen's richest oil fields and its capture would be major prize for the rebels.

"Twenty-two members of the government forces and more than 28 rebels have died in the last 24 hours in the fighting that continues unabated on the fronts in Marib province," a government source said.

A Saudi-led coalition launched more than 12 air strikes in support of government forces on the ground, according to rebel channel Al Massirah.

On Friday, more than 60 fighters were killed in fighting in Marib, the bloodiest day since the start of the offensive on February 8.

Since then, festivities have resulted in hundreds of deaths among fighters on both sides, according to government sources, and displaced hundreds of families. The Houthis generally do not disclose their losses.

The Saudi-led military coalition fighting in Yemen's years-long war announced the Iran-allied Houthis had launched a ballistic missile toward Riyadh and three booby-trapped drones toward the province of Jizan, with a number of other drones being monitored. No casualties or damages were initially reported. There was no immediate comment from the Houthis.

The attack comes amid sharply rising tensions in the Middle East, a day after a mysterious explosion struck an Israeli-owned ship in the Gulf of Oman. That blast renewed concerns about ship security in the strategic waterways that saw a spate of suspected Iranian attacks on oil tankers in 2019.

The state-owned al-Ekhbariya TV posted footage of what appeared to be explosions in the air over Riyadh. Social media users also posted videos, with some showing residents shrieking as they watched the fiery

blast streaking the night sky, which appeared to be the kingdom's U.S. Patriot missile batteries intercepting the ballistic missile.

Col. Turki al-Maliki, the front man for the Saudi-led coalition, said the Houthis were trying in "a systematic and deliberate way to target civilians.''

The U.S. Embassy in Riyadh issued a warning to Americans, calling on them to "stay alert in case of additional future attacks.''

As Yemen's war grinds on, Houthi missile and drone attacks on the kingdom have grown commonplace, only rarely causing damage. Earlier this month the Houthis struck an empty passenger plane at Saudi Arabia's southwestern Abha airport with a bomb-laden drone, causing it to catch fire.

announced this month he was ending U.S. support for the Saudi-led war in Yemen, including "relevant" arms sales. But he stressed that the U.S. would continue to help Saudi Arabia defend itself against outside attacks.

The Houthis have held Yemen's capital and the country's north, where the majority of the population lives, since September 2014. Months later, Saudi Arabia and its allies launched a war to dislodge the rebels and restore Yemen's internationally recognized government.

ISIS bride Shamima Begum 'angry, crying' after UK nixes return to Britain
[NYPOST] ISIS bride Shamima Begum was left "angry, upset and crying" after a court ruled she could not return to Britannia to fight to get her U.K. citizenship back.

The now 21-year-old is stuck in a detention camp in northern Syria after the UK Supreme Court unanimously turned down her request to come back to Britannia Friday.

The decision to block her return to Britannia left her devastated. "She’s very angry. And she’s very upset and crying. She doesn’t want to talk to us," friends told Sky News.
I don't even know this entitled Jihadi bitch and I wanna slap the shit out of her
Begum was 15 when she and two other London schoolgirls left Britannia to join the caliphate. Her citizenship was revoked on national security grounds in 2019. It’s believed the other two were killed in the fighting.

She has lost three children born in the years since, the last a boy born in 2019 after she married an ISIS fighter from the Netherlands. That year she told Sky News that her first two children died "of sickness" in a camp.

Security forces kill most-wanted TTP militant in South Waziristan
[DailyTimes.pk] The security forces on Friday killed a Tehrik-e-Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
Pakistain (TTP) krazed killer, who was involved in the murder of more than 50 security personnel since 2007.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation (IBO) on a terrorist hideout in Sharmangi, Tiarza area of South Wazoo upon receiving a confirmation related to the presence of faceless myrmidons there. As per the statement, the TTP commander — identified as Nuristan alias Hasan Baba — was bumped off during an intense exchange of fire. "The most sought and wanted terrorist was [an] IED expert and master trainer," the blurb said further.

Nuristan joined the TTP Baitullah Mehsud group in 2007 and has been involved in several terrorist attacks. He, along with other krazed killers, carried out an attack on a checkpost in Manra Shawal Dargai in 2008, which resulted in the martyrdom of three Frontier Corps

personnel.

In 2009, more than five security personnel were martyred in an IED attack in Punch Goonay village. The bomb was planted by Nuristan. In the same year, Nuristan along with his other associates carried out a rocket attack on Shakai camp, resulting in the martyrdom of seven personnel as well as the destruction of an oil tanker. He also resisted the forces during a clearance operation in Khaisura area in 2009 and about 12 soldiers were martyred.

In 2010, Nuristan was behind water poisoning near an army post in Khaisura. He also planted an IED on Inzar-Shakai-Wana road the same year. At least two soldiers were martyred in the attack. The same year, he attacked an army quick reaction force convoy on Khaisura-Taiarza-Wana road in which six personnel were martyred. Three FC soldiers were martyred in 2011 when Nuristan planted an IED and attacked an FC convoy near Nanokhel school in Khaisura. He was appointed as commander of the Khaisura area in 2016.

Iraq
Iraqi group says US attack in Syria 'will not go without punishment'
[ALMASDARNEWS] An Iraqi group has threatened to retaliate against the United States after the bombing of their positions in Syria’s eastern governorate of Deir Ezzor.

The Secretary-General of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq Movement, Qais Khazali, condemned the American attack, which he described as a "despicable act," stressing that "the exit of the American forces from Iraq is the only way to achieve stability," and that "the popular will, political decision and the strength of resistance are capable of achieving this."

For its part, Kata’ib Hezbollah said in a statement , "that some internal parties supported by Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
and the Zionist entity seek to implement and push Washington to launch an aggression against the sites of the Popular Mobilization Forces defending its homeland."

In turn, Harakat al-Nujaba said that the American attack "will not go without punishment and a harsh response by the resistance fits its size."

The Secretary-General of the Sayyid al-Shuhada Brigades, Abu al-Wala’e, said: "We were not surprised by the American aggression against the sites of our resistance factions. This is expected as we are fighting a war to liberate our land from an occupation about which the blind patriotic people say it does not exist."

[IsraelTimes] A Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", naval vessel posing as a fishermen’s boat off the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
coast this week was the source of a "potential threat" to Israeli ships in the area, according to an unsourced report by Channel 12 on Friday.

The network’s military correspondent reported that many of the details of the incident on Monday were banned from publication by the military censor, but the Hamas boat was destroyed and sunk by a missile fired by Israeli forces, according to the report which could not be verified.

It was not immediately clear how many people were aboard, but Channel 12 reported that the boat was operated by members of Hamas’s naval commando unit.

The Paleostinian news site Shehab had reported that the boat was destroyed by two missiles off the coast of the Gazook city of Khan Younis.

On Monday, the Israel Defense Forces said it uncovered a "potential threat" to naval ships off the Gaza coast, without elaborating on the nature of the threat.

"Earlier today, our troops spotted suspicious naval activity in the maritime zone along the Gaza Strip which posed a potential threat to Israeli Navy vessels," the military said.

"IDF troops detected the activity and thwarted it," the military added.

After initially saying additional information would be released about the incident, the military refrained from commenting further.

"The IDF will continue to take action against dangerous threats on the maritime front," the military added.

The Israeli military has repeatedly warned that the Hamas terror group, the de facto ruler of Gaza, as well as other terrorist organizations in the Strip have been developing a number of different maritime-based weapons, including naval mines, explosives-laden kamikaze boats and autonomous submarines.

A senior Israeli military commander said earlier this week that, according to IDF estimates, Hamas has replenished its arsenal since a 2014 war with Israel and now has a vast collection of rockets, guided missiles and drones.

It also has acquired dozens of unmanned aerial vehicles and has an army of some 30,000 men, including 400 naval commandos who have received sophisticated training and equipment to carry out seaborne operations, the commander added. He spoke on condition of anonymity under military guidelines.

Russian Air Force launches massive attack on jihadist headquarters in northeast Latakia: video
[AlMasdar] The Russian Aerospace Forces have recently carried out a series of Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s on the positions of the foreign-led jihadists in the northeastern region of the Latakia Governorate.

According to the Russian Spring (RuVesna.SU) YouTube channel, a massive attack was carried out by the Russian Aerospace Forces on the key town of Kabani, which is currently under the control of the foreigner-led Turkestan Islamic Party (TIP) and their allies from Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else
...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State...
(HTS).

"On Friday, a site belonging to the Turkestan Islamic Party, which mainly consists of foreigners from the former Soviet republics, primarily Central Asian ones, was bombed," the channel said.

"The party’s program plans to revive the ’Great Islamic Caliphate’ on the territory of the Caucasian and Volga regions of Russia and the states of the Central Asian region. As a result of the blow, the Death Eaters’ barracks were destroyed, which was also used as a warehouse for weapons and material and technical means. In addition, in the course of the attack, two terrorist guard posts located along the perimeter of the base were destroyed."

The Russian YouTube channel released footage of the attack, showing a massive explosion at the site of the targeted areas in the town of Kabani.

It should be noted that Kabani has long been under the control of the jihadist rebels, as they made the town their headquarters in the Jabal al-Akrad region following the loss of their former Latakia Governorate stronghold, Salma, during the first two years of the Russian intervention in Syria.

For the Syrian Armed Forces, Kabani is an imperative town that needs to be captured before pushing toward the strategic city of Jisr al-Shughour, which is located along the Latakia-Aleppo Highway (M-4 Highway).

Attackers strike gas pipeline in eastern Syria, causing fire
[AlAhram] Attackers struck a gas pipeline in eastern Syria on Saturday, leaving it ablaze but causing no casualties, state news agency SANA reported, the latest incidence of sabotage against Syria's oil and gas infrastructure.

As in the past, no one grabbed credit for the attack. Syria's nearly 10-year conflict, which has killed about half a million people, has also badly affected oil and gas fields, many of which are outside government control.

SANA said the attack occurred in the area known as Abu Khashab in the eastern province of Deir el-Zour that borders Iraq.

Sleeper cells of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
group are known to be active in the area and have targeted government forces and U.S.-backed Kurdish fighters in eastern Syria.

Earlier Saturday, Syria's oil ministry said gas leakage in a well in central Syria was quickly put under control. It did not say whether the leakage was the result of an act of sabotage or an accident.

In a more common occurrence in chaotic Syria, a mine went kaboom! Saturday in the central province of Hama, killing five and wounding 13 people who had been driving to collect truffles, SANA said. It said the anti-tank mine was left behind by bandidos turbans who once controlled the area near the town of Salamiyeh.
