Tough up. Our house had it in the end of April. You will have a very rough 2 weeks. Make sure you have a mouth guard to protect your teeth while sleeping from grinding in pain! Some major pain killers on top of the other meds are a plus.
It's too bad Darvocet is no longer sold.

Hydroxychloroquine if no issues like neurotox (e.g.,QT, retina) or porphyria (even if undiagnosed, or after the virus creates non-genetic pseudo-porphyria ~ about two months after infection, give or take a month), otherwise ivermectin (although it can’t treat CNS infection), *nitazoxanide* probably the most effective antiviral against COVID-19 virus with the greatest safety margins.
Alternative remedies most effective IM[lay]O: orange peels or bioflavonoids for hesperidin which blocks viral “docking” spikes, lots of zinc (with copper to offset copper leaching due to “excess“ zinc ), Black Seed (nigella sativa) Oil which has thymoquinone or Wild Bergamont if you can get it which also has thymoquinone (thymoquinone is a GRAS food grade quinoline), folic acid, (folate form is better to avoid toxicity issue, as it converts to folic acid as needed), Wild Yam which has farnesol ID’d in in silico study (the real kind from Africa, not the sweet potato ~ take a look at Covid not spreading so much in Africa, where wild yams are a staple), and copious amounts of green tea which helps zinc get into the cells and supports inducement of T-cell functionality. Licorice and echinacea can also be useful to induce immune system activity, especially if the Covid virus strain has the ORF8 epitope. Blueberries and almonds are good sources for stilbenes to induce production of Cathelicidins, as does vitamin D.
Research shows the most dangerous points after hospitalization are day 14 and then again around day 28, regardless of how the patient is “feeling.“
At early stages the biggest concerns are the cytokine storm, which actually is a secondary symptom due to a Bradykinin storm. Lots, and lots, and lots of vitamin D, Lysine and bromelain are helpful. Breathing difficulty usually is related to the Bradykinin storm and the creation of a profoundly hydrophilic acid, which fills lungs with a gel-like substance. Again the vitamin D, Lysine and bromelain should be helpful.

I have set this thread as a Classic, so Fred and Gloria can easily find it when they’re ready, and so we can easily find it in the future.
As an aside, those who have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome are warned against taking echinacea or licorice, because their immune systems are either continuing activity as if facing infection or drained after years of continuing activity as if facing infection. It’s not a proper autoimmune disorder because it does not attack the body, just forgetting to reset to normal when a disease or other immune challenge is over. A real pity, as I love the flavour of echinacea tea.

Was just discussing this with the wife. There seems to be some sort of frustrating randomness to this disease, who gets it and how, why it is so severe with some and a walk in the park for others (most?). Us old folks seem to be a common denominator, but other than that...

[AnNahar] Algeria's army has retrieved a "slice of the ransom" cash paid out to free hostages held by "terrorist groups" in the troubled Sahel region ... North Africa's answer to the Pak tribal areas... , the defense ministry has said.
Soldiers "recovered the sum of 80,000 euros" ($97,900) during an operation in Algeria's northeastern Jijel province, a statement issued late Monday said.
Algerian authorities use the term "terrorist" to describe armed Islamists who have been active in the country since the early 1990s, including members of al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM).
The defense ministry said the cash was an "instalment of the ransom" paid out in a controversial October agreement, where neighboring Mali released some 200 prisoners including murderous Moslem leaders to secure the release of four hostages, including French aid worker Sophie Petronin.
Algeria condemned the deal, and Prime Minister Abdelaziz Djerad said the payment of ransoms "undermines our counter-terrorism efforts".

Two ISIS forces of Evil were killed in a federal police operation in southwest Kirkuk on Saturday, according to Iraq’s Ministry of Interior.

"The adults are not scared now, but what about the children?" one resident of the village said in an interview by Yusef Mousa on Tuesday, adding that Turkey bombs the area "every three to four days."
Another resident pointed to the mosque and said, "These windows are all broken, windows of some of the houses are broken."
"We hope the Regional Government finds a solution for this," he said.
"There are a number of houses left in this village, we have no other choice - that’s why we have stayed in this village," he added.
Ottoman Turkish planes also bombed the Mergasor district in Erbil province on Tuesday morning.
Mergasor governor, Ghafour Ahmed told Rudaw’s Bakhtyar Ali that Ottoman Turkish planes bombed Mount Shirin’s Gali Mala on Tuesday.
The governor of Mergasor said this is the first time that the area has been bombed and no damage has been caused by the bombing, but locals are scared.
Turkey launched renewed airstrikes in the Kurdistan Region and disputed territories in mid-June, dubbed Operation Claw-Eagle. Said to target Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK) positions in the Kurdistan Region, eight civilians have been killed in the strikes. The ground operation, Claw-Tiger, concluded in September.
The PKK is a Kurdish gang that has fought the Ottoman Turkish state for decades for increased rights for the country’s Kurdish minority. It's headquarters are in the Kurdistan Region's Qandil mountains.
A staggering 504 villages have been emptied by Ottoman Turkish and Iranian incursions into the Kurdistan Region since 1992, according to a report by the Kurdistan Parliament.
Both Erbil and Baghdad have repeatedly called on Ankara to halt its attacks and have demanded the PKK cease using Kurdistan Region and Iraqi territory to launch attacks on Turkey.
A Ottoman Turkish airstrike targeting an alleged PKK vehicle cut off the electricity supply to two villages in Duhok’s Zakho district on December 6.

In an effort to deter Iran amid fears of a possible attack, the United States Air Force sent a B-52H "Stratofortress" bomber over the Persian Gulf on Tuesday.
The US Central Command said that aircrews from the Minot Air Force Base, N.D. made a "deliberate appearance" in the Middle East today to underscore America’s commitment to regional security and the ability to rapidly deploy to the region as needed.
The B-52 Stratofortress is a long-range, heavy bomber that is capable of flying at high subsonic speeds at altitudes of up to 50,000 feet and can carry nuclear or precision guided conventional ordnance with global reach precision navigation capability.
"The United States continues to deploy combat-ready capabilities into the US Central Command area of responsibility to deter any potential adversary, and make clear that we are ready and able to respond to any aggression directed at Americans or our interests," said Gen. Frank McKenzie, Commander, U.S. Central Command.
"We do not seek conflict, but no one should underestimate our ability to defend our forces or to act decisively in response to any attack."
The B-52 refueled off the coast of Israel by KC-135 refuelers which were spotted flying from near Gibraltar all the way off Cyprus to meet the US strategic bomber. The thirty-hour mission included at least two of the giant aircraft. It was reportedly a round-trip flight.
This mission is the third bomber deployment into CENTCOM's area of operation in the last 45 days.
The US has been deploying B-52s to the region in the last months as tensions with Iran grow. The planes are seen as a message to Tehran. Iran has threatened the US and Israel over the last year, especially in the wake of the US killing of IRGC Quds Force head Qasem Soleimani in January. Iran has warned in the past about the US deploying B-52s to the region, seeing them as part of a rising series of US moves. The US has in turn warned Iranian-backed militias against rocket fire against the US embassy in Iraq.

Syrian air defenses responded to an alleged Israeli Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... near the Syria-Lebanon border on Tuesday night, which has left one dead and three maimed, all soldiers, according to a Syrian military source, SANA reported.
The source added that the strike targeted an air defense unit in the area.
The open source intelligence social media account Intelli Times tweeted earlier that the strike targeted a weapons stockpile intended for Hezbollah located along a weapons smuggling route between Syria and Lebanon.
The area around the once popular resort city of Al Zabadani was part of a major supply route for weapons sent by Syria to Hezbollah before the 2011 outbreak of the Syrian conflict, which has killed more than 200,000 people.
The airspace above the Golan Heights east of the Jordan River was closed to flights over 5,000 feet shortly after the airstrikes were reported in Syria until Wednesday afternoon.
This is the second alleged Israeli strike in Syria in the past week.
On Thursday, Syrian media reported that air defense systems responded to another alleged Israeli airstrike in the north-west of the country. Four buildings, part of a munitions factory in Maysaf, where the airstrike took place, were damaged.
For the second time in a week, the Israeli Air Force has launched heavy strikes over a region in Syria after violating Lebanese airspace last night.
According to a field source in Damascus, the Israeli Air Force launched a number of strikes over the al-Zabadani area and Western Mountains, prompting the Syrian air defense units to confront the hostile missiles falling on the sites.
The source said that an Israeli jet inside Lebanese airspace fired several missiles at the Nabi Habeel area of western Damascus, hitting some of the targeted sites, while the other projectiles were intercepted by the Syrian air defense forces.
He pointed out that at least one Syrian Arab Army (SAA) soldier was killed in the attack, while a couple others were transferred to a local military hospital for treatment; they are expected to recover from their injuries.
The al-Zabadani area is completely under the control of the Syrian Arab Army and National Defense Forces (NDF); Hezbollah previously had a presence in the area, but withdrew following the recapture of the western countryside of Damascus.
This latest attack on western Damascus by the Israeli Air Force will likely be the last of the year, as 2020 witnessed a large number of strikes carried out by Israel over the Syrian Arab Republic.
Israel has not commented on this latest attack.
It is noteworthy to mention that last Israeli attack on Syria took place on Christmas Eve; they targeted the Masyaf countryside in the western part of the Hama Governorate.
[AnNahar] Russia said Tuesday it had dismantled an international drug smuggling network as part of a collaborative operation with the United States, in a rare show of cooperation between Washington and Moscow.
The Federal Security Service ... the successor to the KGB... (FSB) said it had carried out a multi-stage mission with the US Department of Justice that ended with the seizure of 330 kilograms of cocaine with an estimated street value of $1 billion.
Video released by the FSB to Russian media showed plainclothes agents dragging suspects from cars as well as boxes of confiscated cash and drugs.
The security agency said in a statement that the joint-US operation had disrupted "a transnational criminal community that specialised in smuggling cocaine from South America to Russia and other European states."
The mission elapsed in several stages beginning in May this year in Saint Petersburg and concluded with the discovery of a cache in the Moscow region last month, the FSB said.
The operation was a rare example of cooperation between Russia and the United States, which share a deep and mutual distrust over a range of issues including election meddling and hacking.
Lawmakers in Washington said earlier this month that Russia was behind a recent massive cyber attack on US government institutions, allegations that Russia said lacked evidence.
The two countries are also struggling to find common ground on the renewal of the New START nuclear arms control treaty which expires in February, 2021.
