Over two killed in gunmen attack on checkpoint in Zillah
"Over two?" That would be three. Approximately.
[Libya Observer] Sources from Zillah town reported two people killed and two others missing after an attack by button men early on Saturday in the vicinity of Zueitina oil field checkpoint.

The sources added that the button men are believed to be linked to ISIS, adding that the four victims are from the Petroleum Facilities Guard staffers in Zillah town.

Zillah saw a similar attack last year by ISIS holy warriors.

Meanwhile,
...back at the argument, Livia had made her point with her knee to Jane's stomach...
the Presidential Council issued a statement condemning the attack, rendering it as terrorist and saying it is part of a series of attacks on different Libyan cities, mainly in the south.

The statement reiterates that the attack on Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
by Khalifa Haftar
...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. In 1993, while living in the United States, he was convicted in absentia of crimes against the Jamahiriya and sentenced to death. Haftar held a senior position in the anti-Qadaffy forces in the 2011 Libyan Civil War. In 2014 he was commander of the Libyan Army when the General National Congress (GNC) refused to give up power in accordance with its term of office. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all...
is the main reason why the security vacuum in Libya is being widened and thus exploited by Death Eaters and criminals.

"The attack on Tripoli will help ISIS and other terrorist groups reemerge and expand in Libya." The Presidential Council warned.

It added that the Libyan Army forces won't sit idly by and watch the Death Eaters wreak havoc in Libya, rather they will do all they can to continue defeating them against all odds.

Southern Libya is seeing security vacuum that has been escalated since February attack by Khalifa Haftar's forces on the region.

Ghadduwah and al-Fuqahaa towns in the south both saw ISIS attacks, which left several people killed and injured and several houses burnt.

ISIS leader His Supreme Immensity, Caliph of the Faithful and Galactic Overlord, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi
...the head of ISIS, or what remains of it, and a veteran of the Abu Graib jailhouse. Looks like a new messiah to bajillions of Moslems, like just another dead-eyed mass murder to the rest of us. So far he has been killed at least four times, though not yet by a stake through the heart...
appeared last month in a video admitting the defeat of his terrorist group in Sirte, but reaffirming that ISIS remnants are still operating in southern Libya, vowing to carry out more attacks to weaken Libya's government.

Libyan army forces foil heavy artillery advance by Haftar's forces on Tripoli Airport
[Libya Observer] Forces of the Libyan Army under the Presidential Council government's command thwarted on Saturday morning a heavy-artillery-backed advance by Khalifa Haftar
...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. International Airport frontline, blocking their attempt to enter Tripoli's downtown.

Sources from the "Volcano of Rage" Operation of the Presidential Council's commanded forces said Haftar's forces had supplies from Tarhouna for their early Saturday advance, adding that they managed to foil the advance and gained new ground in the vicinity of Tripoli Airport.

"Libyan Air Force targeted positions and ammo depots for Haftar's forces in Tripoli Airport, Qasir Benghashir, Tuwaisha and Sooq al-Ahad." The sources added.

"Desperate attempts by Haftar's forces reflect instructions given by Haftar for them to enter Tripoli at any cost, so he can have a strong position in any negotiations." The sources further added.

On Friday, the Libyan army forces repelled an attack by Haftar's forces on Ain Zara frontline as they tried to advance from three fighting axes using tanks and heavy artillery, according to a senior commander - Abdelrahman al-Shukri.

Some shells fired by Haftar's forces fell on residential areas inside Ain Zara causing material damage to the houses, while in Sabea area in southwestern Tripoli, Libyan army forces seized a number of military vehicles for Haftar's forces after capturing three fighters.

Clashes are still ongoing on Tripoli Airport frontline with an uneasy calm every now and then.

Explosion hits tourist bus in Egypt's Giza
[AlAhram] A blast hit a tourist bus carrying 25 South Africans near the Giza pyramids on Sunday, injuring a number of people, according to the interior ministry.

Security sources said earlier that at least 14 people were maimed in the kaboom near the Ring Road in Giza.

"A device went kaboom! and shattered the glass of a bus carrying 25 people from South Africa," the ministry said on its official Facebook page.

Some people, including four Egyptians in a nearby car, were maimed by broken glass from the two vehicles, state TV said in a video shared by the ministry.

The maimed are receiving treatment, it added. No deaths have been reported.

The blast took place near the famed Giza pyramids.

No damage has been caused to the museum from the kaboom, which took place 50 metres from its fence and more than 400 metres from the museum building, the antiquities ministry said in a statement.

The attack comes nearly five months after three Vietnamese tourists and their Egyptian tour guide were killed when a bomb hit their tourist bus as it was travelling on El-Maryoutiya Street in Giza's Haram district.

No group has grabbed credit for the December attack.

Egypt has responded to terrorist attacks over the past few years with raids on terrorist hideouts nationwide, including a concentrated offensive in North Sinai to combat terrorism.

forces launched a major offensive this afternoon in an attempt to recapture the strategic city of Qa’tbah in the Dhale Governorate.

Backed by heavy artillery, the Houthi forces reportedly stormed the defenses of the UAE-backed troops in Qa’tbah, seizing several areas in a short while.

According to the Yemeni group, they have already advanced deep into Qa’tbah, despite facing heavy resistance from the UAE-backed troops and Yemeni National Army.

The Houthi forces previously captured Qa’tbah during a large-scale offensive in the Dhale Governorate last month; however, they would only hold the city for a short period of time before the UAE-backed troops would launch a counter-attack to reclaim the area.

ISIL inmates instigate deadly riot in Tajik prison
[Aljazeera] Order restored in Vakhdat prison after convicted ISIL fighters armed with knives kill three guards and five prisoners.

At least 32 people, including three prison guards and 29 inmates, have been killed in a high-security prison in Tajikistan after convicted Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL or ISIS) fighters started a riot.

The Central Asian nation's justice ministry said the riot broke out late on Sunday in Vahdat, 10 kilometres east of the capital Dushanbe, as the fighters armed themselves with knives and killed three guards and five fellow prisoners.

One of the instigators of the riot was Bekhruz Gulmurod, son of Gulmurod Khalimov, a Tajik special forces colonel who defected to ISIL in 2015 and, according to the ministry, has since been killed in Syria.

Europe
Sweden: Security Service Arrest Several Islamists Including Leader of Muslim School
[BREITBART] Swedish security service Säpo say they have incarcerated
Youse'll never take me alive coppers!... [BANG!]... Ow!... I quit!
five radical Islamists in a short period of time, with one of those arrested being one of the main leaders of an Islamic school in western Sweden.

The principal of the school said that the arrest of the man, whose identity was not published in a report by Swedish broadcaster SVT, would not affect the functioning of the school itself, refusing to comment further on the matter.
We have more where he came from
Lawyer Lars-Erik Olsson, who previously represented the arrested man, said, "We have not had any contact now, and I also do not know if he will have the opportunity to contact me," adding, "It does not take much for you to be designated when you are a Moslem."
Just a seething hate for infidels, plotting, and arming up
Gabriel Wernstedt, press secretary at Säpo, was also tight-lipped on the case, saying, "We never comment on individuals when it comes to our intelligence work."

Wernstedt did not comment on the fact that several radical imams in Sweden have also been detained.

Iraq
Katyusha rocket falls in Baghdad’s fortified Green Zone
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] A Katyusha rocket has landed in the vicinity of the US embassy in Baghdad’s fortified Green Zone, according to Al Arabiya’s correspondent.

"A Katyusha rocket fell in the middle of the Green Zone without causing any losses, details to come later," the Iraqi military said in a statement.

The statement added that the rocket was fired from the al-Ghadeer area in Baghdad.

Iraqi security forces have closed the area leading to the Green Zone, while a combing operation is underway.

The apparent attack comes amid heightened tensions across the Gulf region, after the United States ordered non-essential staff out of its diplomatic posts in Iraq.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Jihadist rebels attempt to attack Russian airbase in western Syria
[ALMASDARNEWS] The jihadist rebels in the northeastern countryside of the Latakia Governorate attempted to attack the Russian Hmeimim Airbase on Saturday, a Syrian military source told al-Masdar News.

According to the source, the jihadist rebels attempted to attack the Hmeimim Airbase using their long-range missiles; however, they were unsuccessful.

The Syrian military source added that the Russian air defenses were able to shoot down all of the missiles before they could reach the Hmeimim Airbase.

This latest attack by the jihadist rebels marked the third time this past week that they have attempted to strike the Hmeimim Airbase with either long-range missiles or assault drones.

The Russian Air Force has often responded to these attacks by launching Arclight airstrikes over the jihadist-held territories, but due to the recent temporary ceasefire in Idlib, they refrained from striking.

The ceasefire was ultimately short-lived, however, as both the jihadist rebels and Syrian Arab Army (SAA) traded attacks on Saturday.

Syrian Army struggles to capture key town in northeastern Latakia
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) attempted to enter the key town of Kabani in northeastern Latakia on Saturday, a source told al-Masdar News this morning.

According to the military source, the Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Armored Division, alongside the Elite Republican Guard, attempted to crack Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham
’s lines at the southern axis of Kabani on Saturday afternoon. However,
man does not live by words alone, despite the fact that sometimes he has to eat them...
following a fierce firefight, the Syrian Arab Army was forced to withdraw from southern Kabani, the source added.

Over the last two weeks, the Syrian Arab Army has attempted to break into Kabani from the heights just south of the mountaintop town. Each of these attempts have ended the same way for the Syrian Army, forcing them to find another solution to the stiff defenses of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham and the Turkestan Islamic Party (TIP).

With the recent arrival of several units from the elite Tiger Forces, the Syrian Army will likely try another major assault on Kabani in the coming days. The issue, however, has little to do with manpower in northeast Latakia; instead, the main problem the Syrian Army’s high command is facing has to do with the corpse count.

Every attempt to capture Kabani has resulted in casualties for the Syrian Army and their allies. For this reason, the Syrian Army’s high command has avoided a full-scale assault to capture the town.

Turkish-backed rebels send large convoy of reinforcements to retake lost areas in northwest Hama
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Ottoman Turkish-backed Euphrates Shield operation room sent a large number of reinforcements to the Hama-Idlib axis, today, as they look to retake all of the areas that were lost to the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).

According to a report from northwestern Syria, the Euphrates Shield forces were redeployed from the neighboring governorate Aleppo, where they previously led the attack to capture the Afrin region from the Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG).

The Euphrates Shield forces are not only battle-tested, but they are also well armed and well trained. Their experience in the Afrin region has helped them develop into a strong force that is capable of fighting in the rugged areas of Syria.

Two weeks ago, the Syrian Arab Army launched a large-scale offensive to seize the remaining areas under turban control in northwestern Hama. The offensive would prove successful as the Syrian Army and their allies were able to seize many areas, including the two turban strongholds of Kafr Naboudeh and Qal’al al-Madiq.

On Saturday, a temporary ceasefire was announced between the Syrian Arab Army and the Ottoman Turkish-backed rebels in the Idlib and Hama governorates. However,
women are made to be loved, not understood...
shortly after the announcement of the ceasefire, the two warring parties exchanged hostilities across the Hama-Idlib axis.
