Afghanistan
Three Explosions Occur Simultaneously in Afghanistan’s Three Provinces
[KhaamaPress] Three simultaneous explosions have been reported in Afghanistan’s Badakhshan, Kunduz, and Kunar province
... which is right down the road from Chitral. Kunar is Haqqani country.....
s, according to sources.

On Sunday morning, June the 12th, a kaboom took place on a vehicle carrying Taliban
...Arabic for students...
forces in the Kari area of Faizabad, Badakhshan province.

The explosion was triggered by a roadside explosive, according to officials, and caused no casualties.

The second explosion occurred in the Kuhna Foroshi area of Kunduz’s third police district.

Consistent with the sources, a roadside kaboom detonated, injuring four civilians in Kunduz province’s third police district.

The third explosion happened in Asadabad, the picturesque provincial capital of Kunar.

The blast occurred on a Taliban military vehicle in the province, according to local sources.

Officials from the Taliban in the area have yet to confirm the blast, and no information regarding the nature of the blast or potential casualties has been given.

An explosion in Kabul’s 12th police district killed or injured a number of civilians yesterday evening.

Explosion in Kunar Province Kills One Taliban Member and Wounds Six Other

[KhaamaPress] According to local sources in Kunar province
... which is right down the road from Chitral. Kunar is Haqqani country.....
, a kaboom in Asadabad, the bucolic provincial capital, killed a Taliban
...Arabic for students...
member and injured six others, including two civilians.

The explosion happened on Sunday, June 12, at around 9:00 p.m. in Kunar province’s center, Asadabad.

The explosion, which was reported to be caused by a landmine, was said to have targeted a former security forces Ranger vehicle which is now in the hands of the Taliban.

The injured were rushed to Asadabad Government Hospital, where at least two of them were regarded to have critical health condition according to the provincial health officials.

Officials from the Taliban in the province have yet to comment on the occurrence, and no group or individual has grabbed credit.

Meanwhile,
...back at the Council of Boskone, Helmuth ordered the space pirate fleet to attack Zemblonia...
two more explosions were reported in the bucolic provincial capitals of Kunduz and Badakhshan. Both bombings, according to local informants in the two provinces, were targeted on Taliban forces.

According to sources, the two incidences resulted in the injuries of four Taliban forces. The number of attacks on the Taliban has recently increased, and UN experts have predicted an increase in attacks on the Taliban as the weather gets warmer.
No wonder the Talibs haven’t yet got round to putting their forces in a proper uniform — it would make them even more of a target than they are already.

The Grand Turk
Iranian kidnapping of Israeli tourists said thwarted in Turkey last month
[IsraelTimes] Jerusalem reportedly tipped off Ottoman Turkish authorities, who foiled the attack at the last moment; officials reportedly weigh upgrading travel warning to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire...

Israeli and Ottoman Turkish security agencies last month uncovered an Iranian plot to kidnap Israeli tourists in Turkey and foiled it in the nick of time, according to Hebrew media reports Sunday.

Israeli security officials tipped off their Ottoman Turkish counterparts about the plan and asked that they take action to thwart the attack, according to the reports.

The reports, citing unnamed senior Israeli sources, did not specify what nationality the alleged Iranian agents were, how many were involved, or if any arrests were made.

After preventing the kidnapping, Israel asked Turkey to act against the Iranian network that planned it, the Kan public broadcaster reported.

Israeli diplomatic missions have been on alert, expecting Iran
...Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979...
to seek Dire Revenge for the liquidation last month of a senior officer in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. However,
facts are stubborn; statistics are more pliable...
Kan reported that the attempted kidnapping happened before the officer’s killing.

The National Security Council in recent days has considered issuing a top-level travel warning, explicitly telling Israelis not to travel to Turkey at all in the coming period. It has already advised against making non-essential trips to the country.

Israeli security officials believe there are still Iranian terror units operating in Turkey aiming to carry out kidnappings or shooting attacks, the Ynet news site reported, and intelligence services are working to counter those threats.

A source familiar with the developments told the outlet: "In light of the existing intelligence, it would be best for Israelis to not fly there during this period. It is worth considering canceling vacations in Turkey at this time."

A senior Israeli official was quoted by Ynet as saying there has been an uptick in Iranian attempts to carry out attacks.

Mastermind of suicide attacks arrested in Quetta: CTD
[Dawn] The criminal mastermind of some suicide kabooms and kabooms has been arrested, the Counter-Terrorism Department said on Sunday.

The suspect is also allegedly involved in other terrorist activities in different areas of Quetta.

The suspect, who belongs to a banned outfit
...which one? There are lots of those in that corner of the world...
and is identified as Nazimuddin alias Khalid, was arrested when he carried an explosive-laden cycle of violence to conduct a terrorist attack in Quetta.

"The accused and his group were involved in 10 terrorist attacks, including suicide kaboom at the vehicle of the deputy inspector general police telecommunication Hamid Shakeel in Chaman Housing Scheme," the front man for the CTD said.

He said the CTD received a tip-off about the plan of a banned outfit
...always an interesting concept in Pakistan...
that they were going to park an explosive-laden cycle of violence to attack their target.

Acting on the information, a team was formed to trace out the terrorists, which intercepted a motorcyclist in an area on the outskirts of the city. During the search operation, an improvised bomb (IED)was found planted in the cycle of violence. The suspect was taken into custody and recovered a 9mm pistol from his possession.

The CTD identified the accused as Nazimuddin alias Khalid.

According to the suspect, he and eight other members of the gang carried out the suicide attack on DIG Hamid Shakeel on Nov 11, 2017, suicide attack on RRG truck at GPO Chowk on Jan 19, 2018, FC vehicle near Dufferin Hospital on Mecongi Road on Jan 7, 2020.

Other attacks carried out by the group included a suicide attack in the parking lot of Serena Hotel on April 21, 2021, a cycle of violence IED attack on an army truck near BA Mall on July 1, 2021, an IED attack outside Serena Hotel on Aug 8, 2021, another cycle of violence IED attack on a truck on Balochistan

ideologue outside Science College main gate on Dec 30, 2021.

The front man further said that the accused during the interrogation disclosed that he and his gang were also planning attacks on the high court, a sessions court, FC and police.

A significant progress has been made in terrorism cases since the arrest of the accused and would help the CTD in preventing kabooms, murders and other terrorists’ attacks in Quetta, it said.

"Raids are being carried out in different areas for the arrest of other accomplices of the suspect," the front man for the CTD said.

Iraq
PKK kills four Turkish soldiers in Kurdistan Region mountains
[Rudaw] At least four Ottoman Turkish soldiers were killed during intense fighting in the mountains of Duhok province, the Ottoman Turkish Ministry of Defense announced early Sunday morning, raising the corpse count among Ottoman Turkish soldiers to over 26 since April 18 when Ankara launched its new offensive deep inside Iraqi territory.

The soldiers were killed in the Zap Mountain, east of Duhok city, where intense fighting has been ongoing between the guerrillas of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) and Ottoman Turkish soldiers who have set up dozens of outposts inside Iraqi territory.

The Ottoman Turkish Defense Ministry did not provide any details of how the soldiers were killed except for stating that they were killed on June 11. They were identified as Fuat Ozer, Gokhan Demir, Omer Yildirim, and Mehmet Ali CAP.

Media outlets affiliated with the PKK said that the fighting took place on top of Black Mountain in Shif Valley, resulting in three Ottoman Turkish soldiers being killed and one maimed, adding that "intense fighting was ongoing."

The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire...
launched its latest operation dubbed Operation Claw-Clock on April 18 to eradicate the PKK threat, with President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. warning "soon there will not be a place called Qandil."

The rugged mountain range which stretches across the Iran-Iraq border in north of Sulaimani province has been the headquarters of the PKK since the early 1980s when the group established bases there. In total, more than 40,000 civilians, guerrilla fighters and Ottoman Turkish soldiers have been killed since 1984 when the PKK launched its first operation against the Ottoman Turkish army, the second largest within the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. It's headquartered in Belgium. That sez it all....
). Since July 2015, when a two and a half year ceasefire broke down, at least 5,850 individuals have been killed in the conflict according to International Crisis Group.

Ankara has used its air power including its deadly drone fleet in recent years at devastating level, killing some of the most senior figures within the PKK. But, dozens of Iraqi-Kurdish civilians have also been killed or maimed in Ottoman Turkish Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s in recent years.

Ankara launched Operation Claw against the PKK in Khakurk in May 2019. This was followed by Operation Claw-Tiger in June 2020. The third edition of the offensive was a ground and air cross-border operation, dubbed Operation Claw-Lightning and Operation Claw-Thunderbolt, launched in April 2021. All of these operations focused on the PKK’s positions in the Kurdistan Region’s Duhok province.

President Erdogan has threatened to launch yet another operation in northern Syria against the Kurdish forces whom he accuses of being linked to the PKK. Erdogan has gone as far as threatening to block the requests by Sweden and Finland to become members of NATO following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, accusing the Nordic countries of harboring PKK members and sympathizers.

Hundreds of people protested in a number of European countries including Finland, Denmark, and Germany against the Ottoman Turkish operations in the Kurdistan Region and the threat of yet another operation in north Syria.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
SDF Captures ISIS Funding Cell East Of Hasakah

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Sunday that its special units, in collaboration with the US-led Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS, had captured a funding cell affiliated with the Islamic State Organization (ISIS) in al-Hawl town east of the northeastern Syrian city of Hasakah.

The town of al-Hawl is located near Hawl camp, which contains thousands of Syrian and foreign ISIS families, in five separate sectors.

The SDF said on its official website that the funding cell consisted of “three terrorists,” who “were responsible for transferring funds financing the ISIS cells” in Hasakah countryside and other areas in north and east Syria.

The SDF noted that “weapons, equipment, and documents were confiscated” in the operation.

On June 10, the SDF revealed that its special units carried out similar security operation targeting a ISIS member south of Hasakah. However, the extremist militant was killed during clashes with the SDF.

In addition, on June 1, the SDF announced that it had arrested four wanted ISIS members, including a leader, in the southern countryside of Hasakah.

The areas of northeastern Syria are living in a state of concern following the latest Turkish threats of mounting a new incursion in northern Syria, as any military operation will lay the ground for ISIS to reorganize its ranks.

Unidentified gunmen killed a commander of the International Security Forces

Unidentified gunmen shot dead on Sunday a commander of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) in the village of al-Takihi, east of Deir ez-Zor, east of Syria.

“Unidentified gunmen riding motorcycles shot dead the leader, Ibrahim al-Tarman, near the main road in the village of al-Takihi in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor,” a military source in the Asayish told North Press.

“The four gunmen were shouting slogans that ISIS members usually say when carrying out their operations, before fleeing towards the desert of the town,” the source added, quoting eyewitnesses.

Al-Tarman was in charge of the checkpoints of the Asayish in the central region in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, according to the source.

Recently, the countryside of Deir ez-Zor has been witnessing a spike in killings which target members of the SDF, employees of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), tribal leaders and civilians, despite intensive security operations conducted by the SDF.

On June 11, ISIS claimed the killing of two members of the SDF in the town of al-Busayrah in eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

Syria says major damage, runways unusable after Israel hits airport
More on the Damascus International Airport attack.
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights war monitor said the missile strike before dawn on Friday hit the only runway still in service at the airport, as well as several adjacent buildings. Israeli bombing last year had disabled another runway, it said.

"The runway, the control tower, three hangars, warehouses as well as reception rooms were badly damaged by the Israeli strikes," the Observatory said.

Some of the reception rooms were used to receive Iranian officials and Hezbollah members while the warehouses stored weapons from Iran, it said.

The Britannia-based Observatory, which relies on a network of sources within Syria, said the strikes maimed an undetermined number of people.

Satellite images posted on Twitter by the Israeli firm ISI showed three separate areas of what it said was "extensive damage to both military and civilian runways" caused by the strikes.
