[Evening Standard] Thousands of mourners chanted "death to America" as they marched in a funeral procession through Baghdad for Iran's top general killed in a US airstrike.
General Qasem Soleimani, the head of Iran’s elite Quds force and mastermind of its regional security strategy, was killed in an airstrike overnight on Friday near the Iraqi capital’s airport .
US President Donald Trump says he ordered the strike to prevent a conflict but Iran has vowed harsh retaliation, raising fears of an all-out war.
Washington has dispatched 3,000 troop reinforcements to the region.
The mourners, mostly men in black military fatigues, carried Iraqi flags and the flags of Iran-backed militias that are fiercely loyal to General Soleimani.

Do you want the regular funeral with "Death to America" threats or something special. We can add the "Splat" that occurred just after the drone hit for a little more on the recording. However, it might require a little editing and sound effects. That'll cost you a few more rials (dollars if we can get them). For A Few Dollars More, we can provide you with a holographic representation.

Was it anything like Ayatollah Khomeini's funeral you know when they bounced him out of his casket carrying it on their shoulders? Golden moment in Iran's rich history.
[The Hill] Thousands of people marched in Baghdad Saturday to mourn Qassem Soleimani, Iran’s late top general, and several Tehran-backed militia fighters who were killed in a U.S. airstrike this week.
The procession ‐ organized by Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), an umbrella group of Iranian-supported paramilitary groups ‐ began in Baghdad’s heavily-fortified Green Zone and continued to the Shiite holy cities of Karbala and Najaf, according to Reuters.
Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, a militia leader, and other Iraqi fighters will be buried in Najaf, while Soleimani will be buried in his hometown of Kerman in southeast Iran.
In a sign of the gravity of the repercussions of Soleimani’s death, Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi attended the procession. Emphasis added.
[GatewayPundit] UPDATE: PMU Operatives Deny Drones Took Out Militia Leader Shible al Zaydi in Missile Strike on Friday
Earlier on Friday air strikes reportedly targeted high ranking Iran-backed Shi’ite militias near camp Taji north of Baghdad.
But the initial reports were not accurate.
Shiite militia leader Shibl al-Zaydi was not killed in the strike as was previously reported.

On a more lighter note,
it would seem that the strategy of compromising electronic communications may be a contributing factor to confab caravan targets.

Hamed al-Jaza'iri has been threatening the US at least since the successful US air attack on the UMP in 17 June 2018. At the time Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis claimed the "United States has the priciple responsibility for the attack," and Hamid, then called the "subcommander of the UMP Saraya Al-Khorasani, noted in an unintended irony, "The resistaance will eliminate Israel and terrorism from the map... when the time is appropriate." Obviously, the time came and went.

Reuters, May 7, 2018 (Al-Amri, AKA Amiri): As leader of the Badr Organization, Amiri, a Farsi speaker, was often seen discussing offensives in Iraq with the Guards’ commander of foreign operations, Qassem Soleimani. The numerous photos from the battlefront of Amiri with Soleimani in military fatigues, embracing and looking euphoric after evicting IS fighters, have personalized an old friendship.
Portraits of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei are also a fixture in Badr offices, a reminder of the days when the group was the armed wing of Iraq’s Shia opposition, based in Iran.
Born in the mixed Sunni-Shia province of Diyala east of Baghdad, Amiri fled to Iran in his 20s after studying economics in Baghdad. Sentenced to death by Saddam, Amiri made Iran his second home for more than two decades.

A most excellent time for settling old scores and tidying up the neighborhood since Uncle Sam will take the heat for whatever happens. Let the drone-zapping begin!
