Attorney General Merrick Garland Gives Statement 72 Hours After Mar-a-Lago Raid
Attorney General Merrick Garland gave a statement today about the FBI raid on President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property.

The attorney general stated much of what was already known, including the fact that the former president’s counsel was provided with the search warrant.

"The former president publicly confirmed the search that evening," Garland said. "As is his right, copies of both the warrant and the FBI property receipt were provided on the day of the search to the former president’s counsel, who was on site during the search."

Trump’s lawyers were on site but were not allowed near the FBI agents, according to the New York Post.

Garland stated that "he personally approved the decision to seek a search warrant in this matter." However, the Biden administration had claimed that the attorney general did not know about the FBI raid, according to my PJ Media colleague Matt Margolis.

Garland commented on criticism of the FBI: "Let me address recent unfounded attacks on the professionalism of the FBI and Justice Department agents and prosecutors. I will not stand by silently when their integrity is unfairly attacked," he said.

The statement comes after 72 hours of silence since the FBI raided Trump’s Florida property. There has been much pressure from the public for an explanation of the FBI’s unprecedented search of a former president.

The FBI seized about 15 boxes and left a search warrant stating that the investigation was connected to the Presidential Records Act.

#3  I have not seen anywhere that Trump's team was given the warrant. In an interview the lead attorney at the scene stated she was shown the warrant from a distance of 10 feet but was not given a copy. You can not trust this administration to tell the truth about anything. All they know how to do is lie.

Also end the CIA's secret budgets. If they've done anything regarding American politics they might be next. I hope not, I think we need a CIA, but we can't have one that meddles in our domestic affairs.

The Democratic nominee for TX Gov. on a 49-city campaign swing
[Dallas Morning News] Beto O’Rourke on Wednesday said incumbent Republican Gov. Greg Abbott is incapable of solving Texas’ lingering problems, including curbing gun violence, fixing the power grid and providing affordable health insurance for all Texans.
Lessee, Texas did not have any cities on the murder hit parade, the power grid has successfully passed a 67-day heat wave with power to spare, but true, Gov. Abbott has not arranged afforable health care for all Texans - Obama did that.
Well, “affordable”, anyway.
"We are running against someone who represents everything that is at odds with what our values are, not as Democrats, but as Texans," O’Rourke said in Cleburne.

O’Rourke is in the middle of a 49-day tour through Texas to highlight his push for voters to move past Abbott. Speaking in a non-air-conditioned gymnasium in front of hundreds of supporters, O’Rourke said Abbott’s tenure has been defined by one failure after another, calling his two-terms marked by "chaos, cruelty, incompetence and corruption."
Right, sending all those immigrants to places some of them say they didn't want to go. Embarrassing the Mayors of NY and DC.The shame!
"I don’t know that he wants any of these bad things to happen to us and our fellow Texans, but I do know that he is either unable or unwilling to make the changes necessary to make this state better for every single one of us," O’Rourke said. "We must win this election so that we can."
Keep those donations coming, folks! He can win this!!

Government Corruption
FBI delivers subpoenas to several Pa. Republican lawmakers: sources say
[PennLive] UPDATE: This post has been updated with a statement from U.S. Rep. Scott Perry in which Perry said his lawyers have been told he is not a target of an investigation that resulted in an FBI seizure of his cell phone earlier this week.

Federal Sherlocks delivered subpoenas or paid visits to several House and Senate Republican offices in the Pennsylvania Capitol on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to multiple sources.

At least some of the individuals receiving subpoenas were told they were not targets of an investigation, according to at least six sources reached by PennLive, but that they may have information of interest to the FBI
...Formerly one of the world's premier criminal investigation organizations, something for a nation to be proud of. Now it's a political arm of the Deep State oligarchy that is willing to trump up charges, suppress evidence, or take out insurance policies come election time...
. All of the sources had been briefed on the investigative moves in some way, but demanded anonymity in order to discuss them.

The information being requested centered around U.S. Rep. Scott Perry, R-Pa., and the effort to seek alternate electors as part of former President Donald Trump
...Oh, noze! Not him!...
’s efforts to remain in office after the 2020 election, several sources said.

The Washington Post on Wednesday, citing a source familiar with the probe, also reported that Perry’s cellphone was seized Tuesday as part of the Justice Department’s criminal investigation into the use of fake electors to try to overturn President Joe Biden
...... 46th president of the U.S., who gives the term geriatric a bad name. He blames Afghans for losing Afghanistan.......
’s victory. The Post’s source also spoke on the condition of anonymity.

Spokepersons for the Pennsylvania’s House and Senate Republican leaders did not confirm whether any of their caucus members received a subpoena.

"I am unaware of any FBI presence in the Capitol or Leader Benninghoff’s office yesterday. To the extent House members or staff may have been contacted by the FBI, we would not comment on a potential or ongoing investigation," said Jason Gottesman, a front man for House Majority Leader Kerry Benninghoff, R-Centre County, and the chamber’s Republican caucus.

A front man for House Speaker Bryan Cutler, R-Lancaster County, said on Wednesday morning that office did not receive a visit and said they were unaware of the FBI having a presence in the Capitol on Tuesday.

A spokeswoman for Senate Majority Leader Kim Ward, R-Westmoreland County, referred questions to the office of Senate President Pro Tempore Jake Corman, R-Centre County.

Jason Thompson, a front man for Corman, issued a statement, saying, "Federal subpoenas typically request confidentiality from the witnesses being subpoenaed in order to avoid impediment to the ongoing investigation, so it would be inappropriate to comment on whether members have received subpoenas or not. If subpoenaed as witnesses, our members will certainly comply with requests for documents or information not covered by an applicable privilege."

He added: "We have no indication that any of our members are targets of any FBI investigation."

Perry, in a post to his re-election campaign’s Facebook page Tuesday evening, called the seizure of his phone while he was traveling with his family "banana republic tactics..."

"I’m outraged — though not surprised — that the FBI under the direction of Merrick Garland
...Attorney General of the U.S., who classifies indignant parents as domestic terrorists. The is the respected legal scholar Obama nominated for the Supreme Court...
’s DOJ, would seize the phone of a sitting member of Congress," he said.

If the telephone was seized under the cover of a search warrant, however, it would have had to have been approved by a federal magistrate judge.

But Perry, in a statement shared by his campaign front man late Wednesday night, said that he has been told he is not a target of the probe that resulted in the seizure of his phone. In the new statement, he said:

"In a discussion with the DOJ (federal Department of Justice), my attorneys were informed that I’m not a target of its investigation. I’ve directed them to cooperate with the Justice Department in order to ensure that it gets the information to which it’s entitled, but to protect information to which it’s not - including communications that are protected under the speech and debate clause of the United States Constitution."

The subpoenas issued this week in Harrisburg are essentially official requests for information or documents from federal prosecutors who believe that the information they seek will be helpful to an ongoing grand jury investigation, said David Freed, the former U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

It is different from a warrant in the sense that there is no requirement to show probable cause of a crime that’s been independently reviewed by a judge, but - absent a legal challenge that results in the subpoena being quashed - it does require the recipient’s compliance, Freed noted.

Perry, a York County Republican in his 5th term in the House, has come under as much scrutiny as any Pennsylvania office-holder over his involvement in Trump’s efforts to stay in power after his 2020 election loss to Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. We hold these truths to be self-evident. All men and women created ... by the — you know — you know, the thing...
The primary focus on Perry from multiple congressional investigations that have played publicly has been his connection to former Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey Clark, one of the few Department of Justice officials who appeared to be sympathetic to Trump’s false claims that the vote in several swing states had been rigged against him.

Democratic staff on the U.S. Senate Judiciary committee reported in October that it was Perry who had introduced Clark to Trump shortly before Christmas 2020. And the House Select Committee investigating the circumstances surrounding the Jan. 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol has turned up other evidence of Perry communicating with Trump’s White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows about Clark.

Clark quickly captured Trump’s fancy as a potential replacement for Acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen. Clark, according to findings of both Congressional committees, urged a plan to send letters asking legislatures in six states — including Pennsylvania -— asking them to call special sessions to review election fraud allegations and consider appointing alternate slates of electors that would award votes to Trump instead of Biden.

Trump ultimately backed off a plan to replace Rosen with Clark in the face of warnings that such an action would result in mass resignations throughout the Department of Justice, the committees have stated.
Such a pity — so many of our current problems would have been avoided had they all exeunted back then.
Federal agents conducted a search of Clark’s home earlier this summer.
And found what?
Perry’s name has surfaced in several other ways regarding Trump’s efforts to stay in power. They include:

  • Meadows’ former aide Cassidy Hutchinson testified to the House Select Committee that Perry was among a small group of people who talked with Meadows about a potential appearance by Trump at the Capitol following his rally at the Ellipse on Jan. 6, 2021. Since this was discussion about a scheduled movement, Hutchinson explained, it meant the talks would have been in advance of Jan. 6.

Perry’s front man Jay Ostrich said the congressman denied being part of any such discussion.

  • Perry was present during a Dec. 21 meeting between members of the House’s arch-conservative Freedom Caucus and Trump to strategize about what Congress could do to block final certification of Biden’s election.

  • Acting Deputy Attorney General Richard Donoghue told Senate Judiciary Committee staff Perry called him at Trump’s behest on Dec. 27 to discuss what turned out to be an errant analysis circulating among Trump backers at the time that Pennsylvania’s certified vote count was higher than the number of voters who had actually cast ballots.

The report, first promoted by a group of Republican state politicians, was based on a premature reading of input on individual voter histories into the state’s registry of registered voters.

  • Hutchinson, in her House Select Committee testimony, also listed Perry among a number of congressmen who inquired about the possibility of receiving a pre-emptive presidential pardon from Trump before he left office. Perry angrily denounced that assertion - first voiced by U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney
...Faux Republican hereditary congresswoman-for-life from Wyoming. She has been described as Republican royalty. A staunch Never Trumper, Liz supported the second impeachment of Donald Trump for his role in the 2021 storming of the U.S. Capitol. Publicans dumped her from her leadership position in May 2021. Refusing to admit that she had trashed her own career, Cheney has said that she intends to be the leader... in a fight to help to restore our party and that she may be interested in a future presidential run....
    , R-Wyoming — as a "soulless lie."

To date, the House Select Committee has not provided any documentation of Hutchinson’s claim about the pardon request.

Perry has given limited comment on most of these allegations, but in comments to a Philadelphia talk radio station earlier this summer he said he feels he and other Trump supporters are being persecuted for legitimate questions that they had about the conduct and result of the 2020 election - some of which he alleged were never seriously investigated.

But he also insisted he’s ready for the fights ahead.

"I’m in the fight to serve our Republic, and if it means stepping out and having the light shown on me, I’m going to do it," Perry said. "This is the price to be paid for service, and if you’re not willing to pay the price, quite honestly, you shouldn’t serve."

As for the fake elector scheme, Pennsylvania was one of the several states where pro-Trump slates of electoral college voters were formed.

In Pennsylvania, the group met Dec. 14, 2020, in a conference room at the Harrisburg offices of Quantum Communications, the public relations and advocacy firm run by Charlie Gerow. Gerow is a top leader in the American Conservative Union and was an unsuccessful candidate in this year’s Republican primary for governor.

The Pennsylvania Republican State Committee said at the time that they met to cast "a conditional vote for Donald Trump and Mike Pence."

"We took this procedural vote to preserve any legal claims that may be presented going forward" said Bernie Comfort, Pennsylvania Chair of the Trump campaign. "This was in no way an effort to usurp or contest the will of the Pennsylvania voters."

They said the slate of electors was appointed only to act in the event that the results of the election were lawfully overturned.

"As far as I’m concerned, everything that was done that day by the alternate electors was done properly set forth as an alternate slate if the federal court or other courts found the Biden slate was not to be recognized," said Gerow. "We did everything right and from what I heard and saw, they wanted to do everything in a proper way."

The Trump slate included a number of well-known GOP luminaries, including former congressman Lou Barletta, Allegheny County Republican Committee Chairman Sam DeMarco III, Comfort, the current vice-chair of the Pennsylvania Republican State Committee, and Andy Reilly, one of Pennsylvania’s members on the Republican National Committee.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro said in January that his Sherlocks had looked over the Republican elector slate and felt that - while the action was "intentionally misleading and purposefully damaging to our democracy," they did not believe it met the legal standards for criminal prosecution under state law.

No sitting Pennsylvania politicians were a part of the pro-Trump elector slate, though The New York Times

... which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...

reported last month that at least some in the Trump’s campaign leadership considered Doug Mastriano, the Republican candidate for governor, as the "point person" to help organize electors in Pennsylvania.

That report referred to Dec. 12, 2020 emails between Trump campaign attorneys that Mastriano had been fielding concerns that the plan was illegal, and that he should be reached out to by the campaign.

Mastriano’s attorney, Timothy Parlatore, declined to comment Wednesday on allegations that Mastriano was involved in the Trump elector scheme, and the Mastriano campaign did not respond to requests for comment.

But he also predicted there will be no criminal charges that will flow from that leg of the Trump probes. Formation of those slates, he said, has been done before and "it is the appropriate action to take when there’s the potential that the original slate may be invalidated through litigation or investigation," Parlatore said.

Facebook Posts Reveal Epstein-Linked Magistrate Bruce Reinhart's Woke, Anti-Trump Attitudes
[BREITBART] Bruce Reinhart, the magistrate judge who signed off on the FBI’s raid on Donald Trump
...dictatorial for repealing some (but not all) of the diktats of his predecessor, misogynistic because he likes pretty girls, homophobic because he doesn't think gender bending should be mandatory, truly a man for all seasons......
’s Florida home at Mar-a-Lago, has a history of endorsing woke and anti-Trump viewpoints on his Facebook page, according to reports.

Images that appear to be of Reinhart’s Facebook page seen by Breitbart News show Reinhart praising leftist Robert Reich for his criticism of Donald Trump, accusing the former President of lacking "moral stature," and sharing a woke video about "white privilege."

In a Facebook post dated 14 January 2017, Reinhart attacked President Trump for his comments about former congressman and woke hero John Lewis.

"I generally ignore the President-elect’s tweets, but not this one," said Reinhart. "John Lewis arguably has done more to "make America great" than any living citizen. Last August, I took my son to the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma so he could understand the kind of courage and sacrifice required to live in a democratic society. John Lewis embodies that spirit. Although I’ve never met him, he is one of my heroes."

"Thank you, Robert Reich, for saying what many of us feel, "John Lewis is the conscience of America. Donald Trump doesn’t have the moral stature to kiss John Lewis’s feet."

"Or, as Joseph Welch said to Joseph McCarthy, "At long last, have you left no sense of decency?"

Reinhart, who donated to the campaigns of Barack Obama
I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody...
and Jeb Bush, also shared a video from a page called "WokeFolks," showing an instructor teaching teenagers about "racial privilege" by making them line up for a race in different starting positions based on the conditions of their birth and upbringing.

As Breitbart News’ Wendell Husebø reported, Reinhart is also linked to the convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Want Some Candy, Little Girl? Epstein
...A high class pimp financier who was alleged to maintain a stable of underage whores sex slaves who were paid big bucks to entertain the rich and/or famous. He is a registered sex offender and made att least 17 out-of-court settlements with former members of his stable, with some cases still ongoing. 2011 court docs reveal that 21 email addresses and phone numbers for Bill Clinton and an aide were found in Epstein's electronic black book, and that Clinton frequently flew with Epstein on his private plane between 2002 to 2005. But really, they were probably just discussing finance or politix or something. While getting massaged. Then things got serious, Jeff was tossed in the slammer in New York and then he killed himself. Really. That's what happened...

...46th president of the U.S. Sleazy Dem mschine politician, paterfamilias of the Biden Crime Family...
give the final OK for the IRS
...the Internal Revenue Service; that office of the United States government that collects taxes and persecutes the regime's political enemies...
to hire 87,000 more agents in an $80 billion package, the tax agency is revealing a priority job category that could get first dibs on the huge budget expansion.

On its jobs page is a listing of vacancies for special agents to be placed around the country to root out financial fraud.

But these are opening for more than just financial experts: They will also be armed.

Among the job requirements listed: "Carry a firearm and be willing to use deadly force, if necessary."

Special agents, who can be placed around the nation and world, have an interesting job, according to the IRS description. They are financial analysts and armed officers ready for a shootout.

"SAs are known for their financial investigative expertise in areas, such as, tax fraud, public corruption, cybercrimes, narcotics, terrorism, and much more. Today's sophisticated schemes demand the analytical ability of financial Sherlocks to trace transactions through complex financial records," said the agency.

Once on the trail, they must "be willing and able to participate in arrests, execution of search warrants, and other dangerous assignments."

They have to work a minimum of 50 hours and be on call 24/7. And they have to look good.

And all for a salary of $50,704-$89,636 and 24 days off.

Judge Orders Department of Justice to Respond to Requests to Unseal FBI's Trump Warrant
[THEEPOCHTIMES] The Justice Department has to respond to motions to unseal a warrant that triggered the FBI raid on former President Donald Trump
...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US...
’s Mar-a-Lago home, according to a magistrate judge who reportedly approved the search.

Judicial Watch and the Albany Times Union newspaper filed a motion to unseal the document earlier this week, which was granted by a judge in the case.

"On or before 5:00 p.m. Eastern time on August 15, 2022, the Government shall file a Response to the Motion to Unseal," wrote U.S. Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart on Wednesday afternoon, referring to the Department of Justice.
The same judge who signed off on the search warrant. Remorse? Ass covering? Need to conform publicly to peer expectations?
"The response may be filed ex parte and under seal as necessary to avoid disclosing matters already under seal. In that event, the Government shall file a redacted Response in the public record. If it chooses, the Government may file a consolidated Response to all Motions to Seal," he wrote.

Neither the FBI nor Justice Department has issued public comments about the raid, which was first confirmed by Trump on Monday evening.

The FBI declined to comment when contacted by The Epoch Times, and the Justice Department has not responded to several requests for comment.

As for the White House, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. The very model of propity....
was not aware of the raid before Trump’s announcement. Her claim was refuted by Trump on his social media platform, Truth Social.

"What I can tell you definitively and for sure, he was not aware of this," Jean-Pierre said of Biden. "Nobody at the White House was. Nobody was given a heads up and we did not know about what happened yesterday."

#10  Excepts from CTH just posted:

"Today, Attorney General Merrick Garland stated publicly the DOJ has filed a court motion to unseal the search warrant and the property seizure report; however, they would not release the probable cause affidavit."

"Notice the DOJ filing is from the DOJ-National Security Division (DOJ-NSD).

The DOJ-NSD, was created by AG Eric Holder as the epicenter of DOJ political activity. The DOJ-NSD held no inspector general oversight; it is a subsidiary targeting mechanism within the DOJ that originates issues related to the FISA court and other issues of “national security”, which allows Main Justice to have a star chamber of secret operations away from oversight or public scrutiny.

The original Trump-Russia targeting was triggered from within the DOJ-NSD. The Carter Page FISA warrant, and all subsequent activity connected to the FISA court, come from the DOJ-NSD.

It is the combination of the DOJ-NSD and FBI Counterintelligence Unit, where we find every person and operation connected to the political targeting operations of Main Justice. Domestic political targeting is done within this subsidiary branch of the justice dept."

They Were After The Ratcliffe Docs Trump Declassified Regarding DOJ/FBI Targeting Of Trump 2016-2020
[ConservativeTreehouse] More details surfacing about the illicit, sketchy and highly political FBI raid on President Trump’s home are coming out. The federal agents sent by the DC political system refused to provide the search warrant and demanded all of the security cameras covering the compound be turned off as they conducted their raid.

Thankfully, and due to the suspicious nature of the FBI operatives involved, the Trump security team did not turn off the cameras. The Dept of Justice and FBI have yet to give a public statement supporting the predicate of their raid, as a result the transparent political motives have awakened an entire world to the reality of a corrupt USA deep state.

Based on prior statements outlined by Trump’s legal team, I suspect a different DOJ/FBI motive than is currently being discussed. First, the information from Eric Trump.

(Via Daily Mail) – Eric Trump revealed FBI agents refused to hand over the search warrant for their raid on Mar-a-Lago and kicked an attorney off the property in a new, incisive account of the Monday operation at the Florida estate.

Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com, the former president’s son said the 30 agents who arrived at the property asked staff to turn security cameras off – but they refused.

He also said that the attorney was forced to stand at the end of the Mar-a-Lago driveway while the team searched inside – and allegedly used safe crackers to break into his father’s safe.

He called the raid another ‘coordinated attack’ on his father Donald Trump and insisted there is no way President Joe Biden was kept in the dark about the search.

The latest explosive account comes with the Department of Justice facing mounting pressure to explain what grounds they had for the search.

Eric said that his father’s lawyer Christina Bobb was forced to stand at the end of the Mar-a-Lago driveway throughout the raid.

‘There’s 30 agents there,’ he recalled of the Monday search in a phone call with DailyMail.com. ‘They told our lawyer… you have to leave the property right now. Turn off all security cameras.’

‘They would not give her the search warrant,’ he claimed. ‘So they showed it to her from about 10 feet away. They would not give her a copy of the search warrant.’

In earlier interviews with President Trump’s lawyers, it was noted that officials from the national archives (Washington DC) and team trump had already spent hours looking through the documents at the heart of the matter at the Mar-a-Lago estate. So, Washington DC officials already knew exactly what was in those boxes.

Stay with me….

Knowing the details of the DOJ and FBI targeting operations against Donald Trump as a candidate and president (2015-2020), I suspect Trump took some of the declassified (by him) evidence of that targeting with him.

We remind ourselves that since leaving office, former Office of the Director of National Intelligence, John Ratcliffe, has stated on multiple occasions that there were documents he and Trump declassified for the Durham team and to be made public.

As Ratcliffe has noted, those declassified documents were never released. The DOJ/FBI have instead been hiding behind the Durham investigation as the justification for not releasing them, ie, ‘an ongoing investigation’, etc.

I am willing to bet the current documents at the heart of the controversy are copies of those same previously declassified documents that are against the interests of the current ODNI, DOJ and FBI to release.

The national archives are a false front, a general institutional tool for use in creating the optic/narrative of a valid reason for challenging President Trump over documents. The real motive of the DNI, DOJ and FBI are to get the evidence of the prior corrupt activity back in their total control. I am confident this is the real scenario that people are not discussing.

The DOJ and FBI are not only hiding the documents that former DNI Ratcliffe declassified and left for release, but they are also on a seek and capture mission for copies of those documents because they will never release them. This is also the Deep State motive to drag out the Durham investigation.

If the Durham investigation ended, and if the ODNI did not release the documents, then Trump would have justification for releasing those documents. The need for control is always a reaction to fear. What the DOJ and FBI fear is the content of those declassified documents.

This background would also explain why Donald Trump and his team are going to court to force the DOJ and FBI to release the details of the contents they confiscated. Forcing the DOJ/FBI to reveal the content of the documents they took is another way to force the Trump-targeting documents into the sunlight of the American public.

#12  Thomas Massie Exposes the DOJ's Intent Behind the Seizure of Scott Perry's Phone

the DOJ is looking for more kindling for the fires of this hot war. Getting access to Perry’s phone is an easy way to find more conservatives and freedom-adjacent individuals to target in order to continue the witch hunt. Now that the FBI has the phone, all that’s required is charting associations and connecting dots. It would take months, if not years, for the FBI to get this information legally and legitimately, so they game the system by using the weight of federal force, the government’s own goon squad. Then, when the information found on the phone is somehow leaked, they simply say, “Oops,” and plow forward in their campaign.

Trump says he refused to answer questions from New York attorney general's office
[FoxNews] Former President Donald Trump said he invoked his Fifth Amendment rights, per the advice of his attorneys, during his deposition as part of New York Attorney General Letitia James’ civil investigation, calling it an "unfounded politically motivated Witch Hunt" and adding that he had "no choice" due to the Biden administration and prosecutors across the nation having "lost all moral and ethical bounds of decency."

Trump was set to sit down with attorneys from the state attorney general’s office behind closed doors, just days after the FBI raided his home at Mar-a-Lago, as part of an unrelated federal investigation involving the National Archives and Records Administration and classified materials the former president allegedly took with him from the White House to Palm Beach, Florida, when he left office in January 2021.

In a statement Wednesday morning, Trump said: "What Letitia James has tried to do the last three years is a disgrace to the legal system, an affront to New York State taxpayers, and a violation of the solemn rights and protections afforded by the United States Constitution."

"I did nothing wrong, which is why, after five years of looking, the Federal, State and local governments, together with the Fake News Media, have found nothing," Trump said. "We cannot permit a renegade and out-of-control prosecutor to use this investigation as a means of advancing her political career. New York deserves better, and this Country deserves better. This is a vindictive and self-serving fishing expedition, the likes of which our Country has never seen before.

'I did nothing wrong': Trump says he will plead the FIFTH under oath this morning as he tears into New York AG Letitia James for her 'political attack and vendetta' while real criminals 'run rampant'

[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News]
  • Donald Trump has criticized New York Attorney General Letitia James' 'political attack on me, my family, and my great company' as he arrived to be grilled under oath in the investigation into his business practices

  • In a statement exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com, the former President says James campaigned on the policy of 'Get and Destroy Trump' and her probe is nothing more than a witch hunt

  • He also confirmed he would plead the fifth under questioning and insists: 'I did nothing wrong'

  • Trump called her 'a failed politician who has intentionally colluded with others to carry out this phony years-long crusade that has wasted countless taxpayer dollars, all in an effort to prop up her political career'

  • He also tore into her focus on him, while 'New York is suffering its worst murder, drug, and overall crime rate in many decades'

  • Eric Trump also slammed James' ploy to investigate the Trump family as a 'coordinated attack'

  • The former president is facing a deposition from the New York Attorney General as part of a probe into his family's real estate business

Sen. Bennet's midterm ad depicts him as an outdoorsman, but it was filmed on a 24-hour fishing license
[FOXNEWS] A second campaign ad for Democratic U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet features the Colorado senator on a fishing expedition with an unaffiliated voter in an apparent effort to show the wealthy businessman as an outdoorsman.

But he reportedly bought a 24-hour fishing license to shoot the ad.

Bennet, who is seeking to appeal to more outdoorsy, working-class Americans ahead of the November midterms, went fishing in the new ad, "Reel Focused."

Following its release, Axios reported Bennet purchased a 24-hour license just for the day of filming.

According to the Colorado Parks and Wildlife website, there are several options for Colorado residents seeking to purchase a fishing license, including a one-day, five-day and annual pass.

"He’s always focused on Colorado. He is leading the fight to defend our way of life, protecting our public lands, promoting forests and watershed health and supporting businesses like mine," fly fisherman Greg Felt, who stood alongside Bennet in the ad, says in the spot. "I know Michael doesn’t take the bait from Washington. He works for Colorado."

At the end of the ad, Bennet announced he caught the fish seen in the spot. The video is the second nature-themed TV ad from the Bennet for Colorado campaign this cycle as the Democrat gets an early start on the 2022 midterm elections. The first video of the campaign ad was released in mid-July.

Bennet's campaign did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

Dem leader Frank Seddio threatens to rip activist's 'heart out' in caught-on-video rant
We don't often hear from old-fashioned machine pols anymore.
[NYPOST] Brooklyn Democratic Party powerhouse Frank Seddio is captured on video threatening to rip the "f—ing heart out" of a party activist muppet and wishing him a "terrible death" following a dispute over the selection of state judges.

"What I am is a fu—ing Sicilian who will take your f—ing heart out. You are absolutely done. Never f—ing call me again. Don’t go call me for anything. Drop dead," the septuagenarian former Brooklyn Democratic Party chairman raged as he was restrained by colleagues from charging at district leader David Schwartz.

An alarmed Schwartz is then seen videotaping Seddio, who still holds clout in the party as "chairman emeritus" and a district leader.

But the videotaping of his tirade — first reported by The City — did not faze the enraged Seddio.

"Here I am, David, you should only suffer a terrible death," he tells Schwartz.

Another executive committee, Doug Schneider, attempts to calm Seddio down.

"Frank, let’s go outside," he tells Seddio.

The confrontation occurred at the end of a meeting of the Brooklyn Democratic Party’s executive committee last week at Nick’s Lobster House in Marine Park.

The executive panel was recommending a slate of 12 candidates for judgeships to the state Supreme Court
...the political football known as The Highest Court in the Land, home of penumbrae and emanations...
in Brooklyn for a judicial nominating convention two days later, which generally amounts to a voice vote among district leaders that is largely called the way party bosses have predetermined it should be.

#1  ....One of the two great blunders! The first is never get involved in a land war in Asia, and the second is never go up against a Sicilian when Supreme Court positions are on the line!

#5  Nazis and commies hate each other. Shia and Sunni are willing to kill each other. That is not an argument that any of them are our friends.

#7  Anyone else need any more evidence that Democrats hate leftists?

You mean like Shiite terrorist Iran hates Sunni terrorist Al Qaeda? The same Al Qaeda whose probably new Big Turban was sheltered in Iran since 9/11? My dear, I’m afraid you are batting 1.000 today.

Taking another tack, those would be the same Democrats who nearly elected Socialist Independent Bernie Sanders as their presidential candidate in 2020, and whose most public members are the Antifa-supporting Squad.

I do hope they are paying you by the post, Tiny Jeater6933, because you aren't going to make a penny on actually persuading anyone of anything.

Nadler, in primary debate, calls for more federal funds for NYPD; denies past support for police defunding
[FoxNews] Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., said Tuesday night that he supports more federal funds for the New York Police Department, denying that this is inconsistent with a position he took two years ago at the height of the "defund the police" movement.

In a primary debate that pitted the House Judiciary Committee chair against House Oversight Committee chair Rep. Carolyn Maloney, D-N.Y., and progressive Suraj Patel, a moderator confronted Nadler over a 2020 interview he gave with a local publication in which he appeared to support defunding. Nadler insisted that is not what happened.

"I did not say I favored defunding," Nadler said. "I said that I thought some resources should be shifted from the police to mental health and social services, as they were … because the cops can’t do everything, you need social services and mental health services in order to decrease crime too."

#4  Dunno; it was posited that one of the objectives of Defund the Police was to remove local control for Federal; play for who pays you. Create an instability to the point the tax payers will take any force creating protection but not to the point local gangs fill the role. Seems about on target.
