Seattle restaurateur mocks dead 9-year-old to bash Trump
[MYNORTHWEST] It doesn’t get more vile than this: a local business woman mocked the death of a nine year old girl and her father just to make a wholly unrelated anti-Trump statement. And Twitter users rightly dragged her.

Now, she is in digital hiding, pulling her Twitter, Instagram and Facebook accounts and not responding to requests for comment.

Lana Kiossovski is the business partner behind Saint John’s Bar and Eatery in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. While her Twitter account listed her as a "humanitarian," she caught the attention of Twitter users across the country for a Tweet she allegedly sent on January 3 that epitomizes depravity.

NBC News Tweeted out a shocking and tragic story of a 9-year-old girl and her father killed after being mistaken for deer while out on a hunt near Waltersboro, South Carolina.

While most responded to the tweet with normal commentary you expect on Twitter, an account (@lana_palooza29) belonging to Kiossovski wrote: "1.5 less MAGAbilly’s in the world. At least they died supporting their beloved 2nd Amendment."

There’s no indication the family supports President Donald Trump
...Oh, noze! Not him!...
and nothing in the story mentioned politics at all.

In a social media world where it’s easy to find vile responses to pretty much any story, this Tweet rose to the top for it’s particular bad-faith nastiness. What kind of monster mocks the death of a little girl?

The Tweet was deleted at some point but people had already begun to dig into other deranged, vulgar musings posted to the account.

One Tweet, apparently angry that Trump ordered the targeted strike against an Iranian terrorist responsible for the deaths of hundreds of US troops, encouraged the Iranian government to "retaliate and take this mother out." According to another screenshot, she also mused, "I’m sure said forces of Evil can find [Trump] at any number of his golf resorts." And it’s not just Tweets decrying Trump that got some reaction. She also called Rep. Tulsi Gabbard the c-word.

Be Prepared for President Sanders
[WSJ] Bernie Sanders significantly outraised his Democratic presidential rivals in the final three months of 2019. He is very much in the hunt for the first three contests of the primary season. He has run second, behind Joe Biden, in national polls for most of the past year and matches up better head-to-head against President Trump than either Elizabeth Warren or Pete Buttigieg. When Sanders supporters complain that the political press isn’t giving their guy the attention he deserves, they have a point.

Odds are that the Vermont senator won’t be the next president, but it isn’t out of the question. The RealClearPolitics polling average has him leading in Iowa and New Hampshire and less than a point out of second place in Nevada, the third contest. If he were to win a couple of these early races, he could lose the fourth in South Carolina, where he trails badly, and still have some momentum going into Super Tuesday on March 3.

Mr. Sanders’s $34.5 million fundraising haul in the fourth quarter was so impressive because the Democratic field remains so crowded. Mr. Trump raised $46 million for his campaign over the same period, but Republican donors don’t have 14 candidates to choose from. Moreover, the average donation to Mr. Sanders’s campaign was less than $20, and many of his donors are repeat low-dollar contributors. That suggests an intensity among his core supporters that can help him in caucus states, like Iowa and Nevada, which tend to reward the candidates who have the most engaged and motivated voters.

#1  Which is all the more reason for journalists to stop treating the Sanders candidacy as a sideshow.

How about 'journalists' quit engaging in unending character assassination of the sitting president and the achievements? Nah, who are we kidding.

#2  Sanders is not a Democrat, he is a socialist.

The Democrats rigged their primary to keep him out last election. They defended their actions in court saying that they're a private company that need respect no vote, and the judge agreed and dismissed the lawsuit.

Biden: Trump Does Not Get ‘Benefit of the Doubt’ on Iran
[BREITBART] On Tuesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s "MTP Daily," during a preview clip of an exclusive interview with Lester Holt, 2020 presidential hopeful former Vice President Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden
...When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the princes of greed. He said, 'Look, here's what happened.'...
said he would not give President Donald Trump
...the Nailer of NAFTA...
"the benefit of the doubt" on the administration’s reasons for the killing of the Iranian general Qasem Soleimani.

Biden said, "It takes us closer to war. We are putting 18,000 more troops in the region. Have they planned ahead of time to make sure they secure all the bases we have and all the areas where Americans are more vulnerable because of proxies of Iran?"

Holt asked, "You spent time in the Situation Room, do you give a president, this president the benefit of the doubt when he says there was intelligence of an imminent attack."

Biden said, "I don’t give him the benefit of the doubt of anything."

Holt pressed, "You don’t believe him?"

Biden said, "It could be true, but I don’t give him the benefit of the doubt because he’s lied so much about virtually everything."

McConnell: GOP will start impeachment trial, delay witnesses
[APNEWS] Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Tuesday he has the votes to start President Donald Trump
...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US...
’s impeachment trial as soon as House Speaker Nancy San Fran Nan Pelosi
Congresswoman-for-Life from the San Francisco Bay Area, born into a family of professional politicians. On-again-off-again Speaker of the House. It's not her fault when they lose, but it's her accomplishment when they win. Noted for her heavily botoxed grimace and occasional senior... uhhh... moments...
releases the documents, winning support from GOP senators to postpone a decision on calling witnesses.

The announcement is significant, enabling McConnell to bypass for now Democratic demands for new testimony as he launches the third impeachment trial in the nation’s history on his preferred terms. It could begin this week if Pelosi sends the articles of impeachment to the Senate. She is set to meet late Tuesday with her leadership team.

"We have the votes," McConnell told news hounds. He said the question of new witnesses and documents will be addressed later "and not before the trial begins."

The contours of a Senate trial have been in dispute. Pelosi is delaying transmission of the articles as Democrats press to hear from former national security adviser John Bolton and other new witnesses. McConnell has resisted and prefers speedy acquittal.

The GOP leader told senators at their closed-door lunch Tuesday that he has support for his plan, outlined in an organizing resolution that would be modeled after President Bill Clinton
...former Democratic president of the U.S. Bill was the second U.S. president to be impeached, the first to deny that oral sex was sex, the first to have difficulty with the definition of the word is...
’s impeachment trial 20 years ago. It would start the trial first and postpone votes on witnesses until later in the process.

#1  McConnell is talking like he is going to dignify the Dem-contrived cluster#@$% from a partisan star chamber boondoggle in the House. There were no identifiable crimes. There is no evidence to support the ginned-up articles of impeachment which have not been sent to the Senate from the House. The House alleges:

1. The first article charges him with abuse of power for pressuring Ukraine.
2. The second article charges him with obstruction of Congress for blocking testimony.

Neither of these articles can be proven. Why waste time by continuing the charade. How can you have a Senate trial without any charges presented. If smart, Congress should drop the whole sordid mess they created.
Posted by: JohnQC || 01/08/2020 9:06 Comments || Top||

#2  "We have the votes," McConnell told news hounds. He said the question of new witnesses and documents will be addressed later "and not before the trial begins."

Like I was saying yesterday, take this opportunity to dismiss the charges outright; straight up or down vote, no sideshow bullshit.

Democratic demands for new testimony...

Should be ignored. If the Dems weren't able or willing to do that at the House level, all the more reason for the 'motion to dismiss' due to a shoddy case being presented to the Senate. That's how normal court proceedings work. Point that out, hold the vote, and get on to something resembling productive Senate work.

Just what one would expect from Speaker of the House Pelosi
[Breitbart] Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) blamed President Donald Trump for Iranian missile launches against U.S. bases in Iraq on Tuesday evening, and suggested that America was unwilling and unable to fight back.

In a tweet posted Tuesday evening, just minutes after news reports that over a dozen missiles fired from Iran had hit bases where U.S. troops are housed, and before military officials had assessed the battle damage: Pelosi accused the Trump administration of "needless provocations" and declared that America "cannot afford war" with Iran:

Duncan Hunter Announces He Will Resign from Congress
[BREITBART] Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) announced Tuesday that he will resign from Congress next week after he pleaded guilty last month to the misuse of campaign funds.

In a letter sent to House Speaker Nancy San Fran Nan Pelosi
Congresswoman-for-Life from the San Francisco Bay Area, born into a family of professional politicians. On-again-off-again Speaker of the House. It's not her fault when they lose, but it's her accomplishment when they win. Noted for her heavily botoxed grimace and occasional senior... uhhh... moments...
(D-CA), Hunter, who first began serving in Congress in 2009, said he plans to step down from his seat on January 13th. Hunter also stated in the letter that he was proud of "giving a voice to our men and women in uniform" while he served as a member of the Armed Services Committee.

Both Hunter and his wife, Margaret, were indicted in August 2018 on charges of misusing more than $250,000 in campaign funds. Last month, after he pleaded guilty, Hunter indicated that he would be leaving his position.

Hunter will be sentenced in March and could face up to five years behind bars.

#2  On the one hand, a republican politician, especially in a blue state, should understand he has to be squeaky clean. On the other hand, once they get to Washington DC, they all go native and rationalize that "everyone does it." Add the fact that state level GOP organizations repeatedly let freaks like Roy Moore and Todd Akin into the ranks virtually unvetted and you have a recipe for problems.

#9  Yeah,...Cunningham's situation was worse for what he did.
Posted by: crazyhorse || 01/08/2020 11:35 Comments || Top||

#10  A huge disappointment. It's gratifying that voters in that district reelected him in 2018 in spite of his crimes instead of electing Ammar Campa-Najjar, the Democrat who ran against him. That was very wise of the voters in that district. Whatever Hunter did, the time to deal with it was in the next election. Scary how often crooked Republicans get replaced by crooked Democrats.
