-Lurid Crime Tales-
Ex-State Department head of diplomatic security (DS) 'surprised' by Hillary Clinton's private email use
[Washington Examiner] The official in charge of protecting State Department staff said he was "surprised" to learn that Hillary Clinton used a personal email address to conduct government business.

Eric Boswell, the former head of diplomatic security, acknowledged in a deposition this month that he warned Clinton and other State Department staff against the use of personal emails.

"We also urge Department users to minimize the use of personal web email for business, as some compromised home systems have been reconfigured by these actors to automatically forward copies of all composed emails to an undisclosed recipient," read a 2011 memo that bore his signature.

Clinton was a recipient of the memo, but Boswell could not confirm whether the secretary of state actually read it.

Boswell, who stepped down from his position in 2012, said he and other former State Department officials had spoken about Clinton's use of the private email address clintonemail.com as a "general issue."

"We were surprised," he added.

Boswell participated in a deposition this month as part of a court-ordered discovery related to Clinton’s use of an unauthorized email server during her time as secretary of state. A federal judge ruled that several Obama administration officials would have to answer conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch's questions about whether Clinton intentionally attempted to evade the Freedom of Information Act by using a nongovernment email system.

Boswell also warned Clinton against her use of Blackberry devices in the executive offices of the State Department. In a previously declassified memo to Cheryl Mills, Clinton's chief of staff, Boswell said the secretary of state should discontinue her use of the device due to "vulnerabilities and risks." Although Clinton assured Boswell she read the internal memo and "gets it," an email obtained by Judicial Watch indicates she still carried the device "[a]gainst the advice of the security hawks."

The debate over whether Clinton's home-based email server, which she claims was set up for convenience, remains alive today. During a hearing with Attorney General William Barr this month, Rep. Louie Gohmert accused FBI Director Christopher Wray of a pro-Clinton cover-up by not pressing the intelligence community for proof that it was not hacked by China.

Also this month, partially redacted documents were released by the FBI that were part of the bureau's "Midyear Exam" investigation, which looked into Clinton's mishandling of classified information on her unauthorized private email servers while serving as secretary of state. The documents put on display a sense of alarm among Clinton's staff following what they feared to be a hack of the server and glaring security oversights.

The FBI investigation into Clinton's emails came to a conclusion during the 2016 presidential election. Former FBI Director James Comey publicly recommended in 2016 that no charges be brought against Clinton, who was then a candidate for president, but admonished Clinton and her colleagues for being "extremely careless" in handling classified information.

One of the main controversies stemming from Clinton's emails was how a technician managing the server deleted 33,000 emails. The FBI was only able to recover about 5,000 of the emails, which were released in tranches up until earlier this year as part of a Judicial Watch lawsuit. Clinton has said she "never received nor sent any material that was marked classified," but the FBI found 110 emails did contain classified information.

Clinton has long blamed the FBI's handling of the investigation as a reason for her 2016 loss to President Trump.

#4  wiki: On December 19, 2012, three State Department officials... have resigned under pressure less than a day after a report blamed management failures for a lack of security at the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya. The Benghazi mission was attacked on September 11, 2012 and the U.S. ambassador and three other Americans died in the attack. On December 19, 2012, an anonymous Obama administration official said Boswell; Charlene Lamb, the deputy assistant secretary responsible for embassy security; and Raymond Maxwell, the deputy assistant secretary of state who oversaw the Maghreb [were charged].

DOJ inspector general: Ex-FBI official Andrew McCabe leaked 'sensitive' info, improperly accepted gift from media
[Washington Examiner] The Justice Department's watchdog said a high-ranking FBI official leaked "sensitive" information to reporters multiple times with authorization and had improperly accepted a gift from the media.

A one-page report from Inspector General Michael Horowitz released Wednesday concluded that a now-former deputy assistant director with the FBI "engaged in misconduct" by disclosing information to the media that had been filed under seal in federal court, maintaining dozens of unauthorized contacts with reporters, and accepting a $225 ticket from a member of the media to attend a dinner sponsored by the media.

Despite these violations of FBI policy, the inspector general said "prosecution of the [deputy assistant director] was declined."

The investigation was initiated by the Office of the Inspector General in response to allegations from the FBI, and the inspector general said that it is now "providing this report to the FBI for appropriate action."

When the Washington Examiner reached out to the DOJ inspector general’s office for further information about the investigation, including the identity of the unnamed deputy assistant director, a senior counsel said to file a Freedom of Information Act request with their office.

During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing this month, Sen. Chuck Grassley told Attorney General William Barr "there have been a number of leaks coming out of the Justice Department and FBI during high-profile investigations" and that "leaks undermine the ability of investigators to investigate." Barr assured him that "we have multiple criminal leak investigations underway."

Fitton: Judicial Watch Uncovers FBI Knew of Hillary's Abuses
[Breitbart] The FBI knows a lot more about Hillary Clinton than it is willing to let us know.

Judicial Watch has filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Department of Justice seeking draft copies of FBI charts containing information on potential "statutory violations" committed by Hillary Clinton in the former secretary of state’s use of a non-secure, non-government email server to conduct government business.

Judicial Watch is also suing for draft copies of talking points prepared by the FBI for its officials to use following then-Director James Comey’s July 2016 press conference, during which he recommended against prosecuting Clinton for mishandling classified information.

Judicial Watch sued in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia after the DOJ failed to respond to a December 3, 2018, FOIA request (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:19-cv-00800)). We are seeking:
1. All final and draft copies of talking points prepared by the FBI for its Executive Assistant Directors (EADs) relating to the "Mid-Year Exam" investigation ("MYE Talking Points) following the July 5, 2016 James Comey press conference in which he indicated he would not recommend prosecuting Hillary Clinton.

2. All final draft copies of a one-page version of the aforementioned MYE Talking Points created for FBI Special Agents-in-Charge (SACs).

3. All final and draft copies of charts of the "statutory violations considered during the investigation [of Hillary Clinton’s server], and the reasons for the recommendation not to prosecute."
Judicial Watch recently uncovered DOJ records in a related lawsuit that include emails documenting an evident cover-up of a chart of potential violations of law by the secretary of state. On July 8, 2016, three days after then-FBI Director James Comey’s press conference announcing that he would not recommend a prosecution of Clinton, the Special Counsel to the FBI’s executive assistant director in charge of the National Security Branch, whose name is redacted, wrote to Peter Strzok and others that he was producing a "chart of the statutory violations considered during the investigation [of Clinton’s server], and the reasons for the recommendation not to prosecute..."

Neither these talking points nor the chart of potential violations committed by Clinton and her associates have been released.

Judicial Watch will continue pressing for this secret FBI chart of potential Hillary Clinton crimes. The FBI should focus on this Clinton "matter" now that it is unencumbered by the corrupt partisanship of Comey, McCabe, Strzok, Page, and the rest of their crowd.

Britain
UK House Speaker: Trump Will Not Be Invited To Speak To Parliament
[Hot Air] President Trump will travel to the UK next month and his schedule is being worked out between his staff and UK officials. One item will not be on his agenda that traditionally has been extended to other American presidents ‐ there likely will not be an invitation extended to President Trump to address Parliament.

Speaker of the House of Commons, John Bercow, is still on his high horse about the election of Donald Trump. #TheResistance is alive and well in Great Britain and Bercow is doing his part. He has refused to issue an invitation, as is his job, to President Trump since 2017 and nothing has changed. Other presidents have spoken to Parliament during state visits including Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and Ronald Reagan.

Steve Hilton: Joe Biden ‘Has Taken Billions of Dollars in Bribes from the Chinese Government’
[BREITBART] Former Vice President Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden
The former Senator-for-Life from Delaware, an example of the kind of top-notch Washington intellect to be found in the World's Greatest Deliberative Body...
took "billions of dollars in bribes from the Chinese government," Steve Hilton, host of Fox News Channel’s The Next Revolution, told hosts Rebecca Mansour and Joel Pollak during an interview on Breitbart News Tonight on Tuesday.

On April 28, Hilton laid out details of financial dealings between Hunter Biden, Joe Biden’s second son, and foreign governments, companies, and oligarchs.

The Biden family’s financial ties to the Chinese state will become a central election issue if the former vice president secures the Democrats’ presidential nomination for 2020, predicted Hilton.

Robert Mueller’s ‘final statement’ was a disgraceful mess
[NYPOST] Special prosecutor Robert Mueller’s statement upon the shuttering of his two-year investigation into the Trump campaign was weird even by the standards of the weirdness of the past couple of years. “Charging the president with a crime was not something we could consider,” he reported. Indeed, even pursuing that question, he added, would have been unconstitutional under long-standing Justice Department guidelines.

But then he said that if his office could have exonerated the president, it would have: “If we had confidence the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so.”
But you can't prove a negative, so too bad.

Two years of investigation, $40m down the drain? What was it then, you were doing may I ask ?

Dyed in the wool Clinton operative, reminding the congress of their impeachment duties, without using the work impeachment. Mueller has erased any doubt regarding his objectivity or intentions.

Ted Cruz slams Ilhan Omar over now-deleted tweet on immigration
[FoxNews] A "merit based" immigration policy is fueled by racism towards the Latinx community," Omar wrote. "Our immigration policies shouldn't be based on discrimination, fear, or bigotry. We should welcome immigrants to our country and offer a simple way to citizenship."

Sen. Cruz also weighed in and called out the Democratic Party for apparently believing that "Hispanic immigrants can’t qualify for skills-based legal immigration."

"As the son of a Cuban immigrant whose Dad came to get a math degree & become a computer programmer, I’m troubled that Dems seem to believe Hispanic immigrants can’t qualify for skills-based legal immigration," Cruz tweeted. "Bringing in more scientists, engineers & doctors is good for US jobs."

Rep. Omar's office did not immediately respond to Fox News' request for comment.
