Manafort held passports and accounts under a fake name
[NYPOST] Paul Manafort, the former campaign manager for President Trump, owns several US passports, used a phone and email account registered under a fake name and provided varying estimates of his wealth, federal investigators said in court documents to show he is a flight risk.

Manafort and his longtime business associate Rick Gates surrendered Monday after they were hit with a 12-count indictment that includes charges of conspiracy against the United States, tax fraud and money laundering stemming from their work for a Ukrainian politician who had close ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The court filings from special counsel Robert Mueller’s team of investigators probing Moscow meddling in the 2016 election reveal that Manafort, 68, had three passports and had submitted applications for 10 more over the last few years.

Muller is a clown and is more corrupt than those Whom he investigates by 100 times.

We need a special counsel to investigate the special counsel.

Green Bay Officials Use City's Facebook Page for Self-Defense
[MediaTrackers] Green Bay Mayor James Schmitt and City Attorney Vanessa Chavez are using the city’s official Facebook page to defend themselves against allegations of wrongdoing by five aldermen but are not letting the alders use the page to issue a statement of their own, according to one of the five. The City of Green Bay’s Facebook page currently has posted on it a document titled "Misrepresentations and Misunderstandings by Council Members." It’s a response to a complaint the five alders have submitted to the Brown County District Attorney’s alleging potential criminal wrongdoing by Schmitt and Chavez in connection with the stalled Hotel Northland project.

The five claim, among other things, that Schmitt and Chavez attempted to by developer Mike Frantz out of the deal with a $500,000 loan to be taken out by the city of Green Bay and misrepresented the purpose of the loan to the Redevelopment Authority and the City Council. Schmitt has claimed repeatedly that the loan was intended to keep the project afloat. Frantz has twice told Media Trackers and the Jerry Bader radio show that Schmitt’s and Chavez’s claims are false; that the loan was indeed intended to buy him out of the project in two $250,000 installments. Court documents also indicate the loan was intended to buy out Frantz.

Frantz says emails and court documents support his claims and says Schmitt and Chavez were involved in the effort and that he was approached by the city with the proposal. Despite all of that, Schmitt and Chavez insist the accusations are nothing more than unsubstantiated claims from a quintet of obstructionist aldermen. And they have used the city’s web page and Facebook page to make that claim, without affording their accusers use of the same platforms, according to one of the five, Alderman Chris Wery.

Wery says city’s statement of defense has been taken down from its web page but remains at its Facebook page, along with a defense from Chavez:
Yaaah, hey dere! Looks like Packerville is learning from Da' Bears' hometown!

Inside Hillary Clinton's Secret Takeover of the DNC
Guess who has a new book?! Yup! The Ever-So-Pure Donna Brazile!:
[Politico] Before I called Bernie Sanders, I lit a candle in my living room and put on some gospel music. I wanted to center myself for what I knew would be an emotional phone call.

I had promised Bernie when I took the helm of the Democratic National Committee after the convention that I would get to the bottom of whether Hillary Clinton’s team had rigged the nomination process, as a cache of emails stolen by Russian hackers and posted online had suggested. I’d had my suspicions from the moment I walked in the door of the DNC a month or so earlier, based on the leaked emails. But who knew if some of them might have been forged? I needed to have solid proof, and so did Bernie.
...
Officials from Hillary’s campaign had taken a look at the DNC’s books. Obama left the party $24 million in debt‐$15 million in bank debt and more than $8 million owed to vendors after the 2012 campaign and had been paying that off very slowly. Obama’s campaign was not scheduled to pay it off until 2016. Hillary for America (the campaign) and the Hillary Victory Fund (its joint fundraising vehicle with the DNC) had taken care of 80 percent of the remaining debt in 2016, about $10 million, and had placed the party on an allowance.

If I didn’t know about this, I assumed that none of the other officers knew about it, either. That was just Debbie’s way. In my experience she didn’t come to the officers of the DNC for advice and counsel. She seemed to make decisions on her own and let us know at the last minute what she had decided, as she had done when she told us about the hacking only minutes before the Washington Post broke the news.
...
The campaign had the DNC on life support, giving it money every month to meet its basic expenses, while the campaign was using the party as a fund-raising clearing house. Under FEC law, an individual can contribute a maximum of $2,700 directly to a presidential campaign. But the limits are much higher for contributions to state parties and a party’s national committee.

Individuals who had maxed out their $2,700 contribution limit to the campaign could write an additional check for $353,400 to the Hillary Victory Fund‐that figure represented $10,000 to each of the thirty-two states’ parties who were part of the Victory Fund agreement‐$320,000‐and $33,400 to the DNC. The money would be deposited in the states first, and transferred to the DNC shortly after that. Money in the battleground states usually stayed in that state, but all the other states funneled that money directly to the DNC, which quickly transferred the money to Brooklyn.

"Wait," I said. "That victory fund was supposed to be for whoever was the nominee, and the state party races. You’re telling me that Hillary has been controlling it since before she got the nomination?"

Gary said the campaign had to do it or the party would collapse.

"That was the deal that Robby struck with Debbie," he explained, referring to campaign manager Robby Mook. "It was to sustain the DNC. We sent the party nearly $20 million from September until the convention, and more to prepare for the election."
...
Right around the time of the convention the leaked emails revealed Hillary’s campaign was grabbing money from the state parties for its own purposes, leaving the states with very little to support down-ballot races. A Politico story published on May 2, 2016, described the big fund-raising vehicle she had launched through the states the summer before, quoting a vow she had made to rebuild "the party from the ground up ... when our state parties are strong, we win. That’s what will happen."

Yet the states kept less than half of 1 percent of the $82 million they had amassed from the extravagant fund-raisers Hillary’s campaign was holding, just as Gary had described to me when he and I talked in August. When the Politico story described this arrangement as "essentially ... money laundering" for the Clinton campaign, Hillary’s people were outraged at being accused of doing something shady. Bernie’s people were angry for their own reasons, saying this was part of a calculated strategy to throw the nomination to Hillary.
...
I had to keep my promise to Bernie. I was in agony as I dialed him. Keeping this secret was against everything that I stood for, all that I valued as a woman and as a public servant.

"Hello, senator. I’ve completed my review of the DNC and I did find the cancer," I said. "But I will not kill the patient."
...
I told Bernie I had found Hillary’s Joint Fundraising Agreement. I explained that the cancer was that she had exerted this control of the party long before she became its nominee. Had I known this, I never would have accepted the interim chair position, but here we were with only weeks before the election.
...

When I hung up the call to Bernie, I started to cry, not out of guilt, but out of anger. We would go forward. We had to.
It appears that The Clintons™ will be bus suspension test-beds for a while yet.

Former British spy paid more than £125,000 to detail Donald Trump Russia links
[Independent] A former British spy was paid more than £125,000 to outline Russian financial and personal links to Donald Trump’s election campaign.

Fusion GP, a Washington DC based research firm, hired former MI6 officer Christopher Steele to collect information about the US President and his advisers.

A total of $168,000 (£126,000) was paid to Orbis Business Intelligence, Mr Steele’s company, to produce the "Trump dossier", Fusion GPS said in a statement.

Jumping down a bit to..... "national security concerns."

According to his court papers, Mr Steele decided to hand the dossier over "on a confidential basis in hard copy form" to the British intelligence services because it "had implications for the national security of the US and the UK", as well as being "of considerable importance in relation to alleged Russian interference in the US presidential election".

#1  But, but, but I thought Mr. Steele was "retired" from MI6? Did they too have a dog in the fight, or was this a 'back door' (cover for action) and plausible entry point for U.S. Intelligence agencies ?

#2  WAPO - FBI once planned to pay former British spy who authored controversial Trump dossier

Steele was familiar to the FBI, in part because the bureau had previously hired him to help a U.S. inquiry into alleged corruption in the world soccer organization FIFA. The FBI sometimes pays informants, sources and outside investigators to assist in its work. Steele was known for the quality of his past work and for the knowledge he had developed over nearly 20 years working on Russia-related issues for British intelligence. The Washington Post was not able to determine how much the FBI intended to pay Steele had their relationship remained intact.
Emphasis added

The FBI discovered Steele was connected to the DNC and did not wish to inhibit those ongoing efforts, knowing full well they'd soon receive info-copies ?

Hispanic Caucus Debates Whether to Let Republican Join
[Free Beacon] The Congressional Hispanic Caucus is deciding whether to let Republican Rep. Carlos Curbelo (Fla.) join, which has become a controversy within a caucus that is composed entirely of Democrats.

The House Administration Committee is expected to tell the caucus by Thursday's weekly meeting if they are required to let him join, CHC Chairwoman Michelle Lujan Grisham (D., N.M.) told Politico.

Last week, the CHC delayed dealing with the matter after many members of the caucus accused Curbelo of wanting to join as a political ploy for his reelection.

Curbelo's district is 70 percent Latino and is a prime pickup opportunity for Democrats. It has more Democrats than Republicans, and Hillary Clinton won it in the 2016 presidential election.

Gillespie Family Left ‘Disgusted’ By Truck Ad, Campaign Donations ‘Triple’
[DAILYCALLER] A jarring political advertisement has left Ed Gillespie’s family "infuriated" and brought a rapid infusion of cash to his campaign.

In an exclusive interview with The Daily Caller Tuesday, Gillespie said his wife and children were "disgusted" by the ad, which showed a white man driving a Ford F-250 ‐ complete with a Gillespie bumper sticker and "Don’t Tread On Me" license plates ‐ directly at a group of fleeing minority children.

"They are infuriated," the Virginia gubernatorial candidate said of his family’s reaction to the ad, which was produced by Latino Victory Fund. "And they’re disgusted. And I understand that. I think it’s always harder on the family than on the candidate himself or herself, but it’s not pleasant, and it’s the kind of thing that makes good people not want to run for public office."

"But it’s not going to dissuade me, because this race is not about me. This race is about the future of the commonwealth I love and my fellow Virginians."

Gillespie also said the shocking nature of the ad ‐ which brazenly connected the Republican to white supremacist marchers in Charlottesville, Virginia ‐ has led to a sudden cash infusion for the final week of the campaign.

"Yeah, in fact, actually online, our fundraising has tripled from people who are just disgusted by this and feel that they’re under attack, which they are," Gillespie told TheDC. "But, again, it’s not just my supporters who are under attack here. It’s all those good, decent Virginians who may not agree with me, but understand that this is not good for the commonwealth of Virginia and that this kind of political attack and these smear campaigns are not good for the country and they’re not good for the commonwealth."

Sen. Chuck Schumer on Diversity Visa: ‘This is an Excellent Program'
[Breitbart] Sen. Chuck Schumer’s long record of enthusiastic support for his diversity visa program is making it difficult for him to escape partial blame for the October 31 truck attack by a diversity-visa recipient who killed eight cyclists in Manhattan.

On May 24, 2006, for example, Schumer gave a floor speech in the Senate celebrating the diversity visa program:
This is an excellent program. Nobody has said it has done a bad job. It is small. There are only about 50,000 visas a year. It is really based on the idea of new seed ... So I plead with my colleagues, keep the diversity visa program ...

As I ride my bike around New York City on the weekends, I see what immigrants do for America. This program has dramatically helped. Neighborhoods such as Woodlawn and Greenpoint have been revitalized by new Irish and Polish immigrants. Neighborhoods such as East Flatbush and Harlem have been revitalized by West African immigrants. We don't have to stop this program.

Schumer ally Jeff Flake tweeted a defense of Schumer and his Diversity visa one day after a Muslim lottery winner aledgedly killed eight cyclists in New York.
