Hannity: I can't wait to leave New York
[WASHINGTONEXAMINER] On his radio show Monday, Fox News Host Sean Hannity reacted to Gov. Andrew Sonny Cuomo's controversial comments against conservatives, indicating that New York wasn't a place for people who were pro-life and pro-Second Amendment.

Hannity explained that he couldn't wait to leave New York and move to Texas or Florida.

"I was born and raised in New York," Hannity said on his show. "I want you to know that and I can't wait to get out of here. I really can't."

Hannity explained that the 10 percent state taxes and the high taxes in his county made him anxious to leave.

"I can't wait to sell my house to somebody who wants it," he said. "I can't wait to pay no state income tax down in Florida or Texas."

Hannity told his viewers that he was on the fence about where he would live in this future.

"I haven't decided yet, but I'm leaning Florida because I like the water and I like to fish," he said, explaining to his audience that his kids got him back into fishing. "I don't sit on the beach, I like to look at the beach from a distance. I like to be underneath something so the sun doesn't hit me. Don't want to get to tan, you know, don't need a bikini line on this body. Period."

Hannity said that during his career, he lived five years in Rhode Island, five years in Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,, two years in Alabama, and four years in Atlanta.

"I'm not welcome in my own home state. That's fine Governor Cuomo, I'm going to leave and I'm taking all of my money with me -- every single solitary penny."

#1  The panhandle of Florida might be an option. Georgia is pretty easy on taxes. I can't recommend returning to Atlanta. Far north Georgia or NC possibly, but not Atlanta. Brevard, NC was recently voted among the best. Taxes and Home Association Fees can be brutal there however.

The Texas Hill Country would probably be one of my first choices.

#2  Not the Hill country! It's filled with Cuomo wannabe's and idolizers. Especially Austin.

#3  I might have to re-look that one Double-A. Times is a changing. :-(

#4  East Tennessee is a great place to live. No state income tax.

#5  Spooking the herd. The socialist zombies are suppose to keep quiet, maybe moan occasionally, but they're not suppose to scare off the brains to feed them till they can't possibly run away.

#6  Lots of posturing. NY law says he will pay income tax in NY for working there anyway. He will only get out of property tax.

#7  I don't think he plans on continuing to work in NY - he can probably broadcast from anywhere.

(Also Washington State has no Income Tax - but it has lots and lots of other taxes...)

#8  Greatest revolution in communications since the printing press. Reality TV shows are a blight on the humanities, but the sheer volume of fairly decent production video on literally any subject matter is proof. I'm quite certain that between Florida and Texas there is a broadcast studio at level with anything in New York; or start from scratch, make one better, and rent it out on the off hours. Spend a bit more, put in a TV room. Record your own commercials, commercials for others, etc. A big name like Hannity will be able to find financing and talent.

#9  #6 he'll just follow Rush's footpath and never spend another day of work in NY. No income generated locally, no tax. Just the usual sales tax, hotel tax, etc, but no income.

#10  "Escspe from New York" as a matter of principle and to escape the liberal arrogance? The weather also sucks. The taxes in NY and NY are unbelievable--not worth putting up with the insults of the liberal apparatchik who have run the place into the ground. No freedoms there anymore.

#11  NYC has just entered the Detroit economic death spiral.... Soon they will raise taxes to cover for the 1% leaving. Then the middle class will leave. It's all but over if this happens.
