#3  The Detroit job was Plugs' stuff. The Virginia job last year was B.O.'s.

Kinda makes you wonder: if thieves can make off with the president's and the V.P.'s U-Hauls, what about the national treasury?

Oh. Wait.

Never mind.

#5  This time of the year in the simmering Texas heat, a straw Serratelli or other brand in the straw version is mandatory for the working cowboy. Felt hats such as the one Hussien is wearing in the picture is worn during the colder seasons. Occasionally worn during formal situations but a slacker like Barack doesn't know those things about Texas.

The Republican National Convention Texas delegation, a member of which is in this picture, had it right last week.

Seedy Politicians (A.K.A. Jack Ass Party) Gears Up For Convention
After a week of bruising broadsides on President Obama’s record by the GOP brass, Democrats have assembled a national convention this week in North Carolina they hope will give Obama a dynamic, prime-time opportunity to convince Americans he deserves another shot at running the county.

Yet Obama and party leaders open the event Monday with essentially the same challenge faced at smaller campaign stops across the country -- convincing Americans that the president can indeed fix the economy and restore middle-class opportunity amid high unemployment, crushing debt and wavering support from unions and congressional Democrats.

#1  good luck with that.

All the Republicans had to do was introduce Romney as a competent caring human, which they did.

After the Dems put on their grievance group clusterf*ck of a circus, the difference between the parties will become quite clear.

#2  It will be interesting to see what the ratings are for the Dem convention vs Tampa. The people who are more likely to have "cut the cord" from cable services are also those more likely to be Democrats. Comcast, for example, has lost about 3 million subscribers since 2009.

#8  I watched the opening remarks of a panel on cspan this morning. Oh, six to eight panelists laying the basic framworking of the conventions reason to be.

Nothing new...voter id, racial inequality, so forth. I did note some of the ironies. One of the the tarhealed eggheads seemed genuine about whats what, though that was likely his spot in the relay team and he tended to talk about the south instead of just North Carolina. Unemployment is a full percent above national, industry hard hit, workforce undereducated, government not doing enough. Next relay speaker started with North Carolina is in the unique position of being under total democrat control for the last twelve years. It was odd, as another speaker hinted that voter id will appear in NC because of the radical supreme court.

Overall it was a bunch of chapel hill life long acedemics highlighted by the one who was apparently the only person to notice that perhaps that conference should not have been held at 11:30 on Sunday. This is the billiance people in Alabama and Texas should view, as they self proclaimed themselves masters of all issues southern.

For instance they cannot seem to grasp why so many southerners do not favor the ACA, except that you are uneducated. No, what was the term, requiring post-secondary-education. So shorten their conclusion, the problem with Texas is its full of Texans.

Aesthetically, bunch of know it alls failing conversational English. Knowledge drops, well they seemed baffled at the reasons why a Bangladesh and a North Carolinian are so far off $/hour wise; everything was retreaded grief lyrics.

*PS I did giggle at the Mount Moredebt sand sculpture, not because of its gaudi-ness but "Inconceivable! There is no wind in Liberal Land!"

#9  DNC central theme = blame the last 3 1/2 yrs of idiotic policies and abject failures on a guy that left office 3 1/2 yrs ago (because that's what real men ought to do)

Obama and the rest of his ilk are total pussies. As we say in the mil - after you've been there a month - you own it. Blaming your predecessor a yr after they're gone is the height of bitchy un-manliness (no offense to the ladies). It's all about political power and none of these hacks can own their f*ckups.

To be fair, most Presidents have acquired a house prior to the end of their final term, usually paid for by collecting money from friends, political allies, and past political donors.

If the various news sources are to be believed, it's a bit different this time around, because the fundraising is a tad less... enthusiastic.

Ale to the chief: White House releases secret beer recipe
THE White House has released the recipe for two home-made beers in attempt to cement President Obama''s regular guy appeal ahead of November''s election.

White House Honey Brown Ale, believed to be the first beer brewed on the White House grounds, includes light malt extract, amber crystal malt, honey, gypsum, yeast and corn sugar.

The recipe was released on Saturday while President Barack Obama was campaigning in Iowa.

Mr Obama has been talking about the White House brew for weeks, but he and other officials had refused to disclose details of how it''s made, despite an online petition and repeated questions from reporters.

Mr Obama even took a question on the beer recipe during a chat with the website Reddit.

Mr Obama and his team frequently talk about the president''s fondness for beer, and Mr Obama has been photographed many times downing a beer, including an appearance at the Iowa State Fair last month.

Being identified as a beer drinker is an easy way for Mr Obama to connect with voters and serves as a not-so-subtle reminder that his Republican rival Mitt Romney, a Mormon, doesn''t drink.

Mr Obama even held a "beer summit" after a white police sergeant arrested black Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates as he tried to get into his own home.

#8  High five Darth; and you are right - but not for a blue collar or cowboy either. Reads like Zima Dark. Is it served with a carrot? Perhaps a pinkie crutch and a pastry?

Perhaps now the White House staff can play beer pong at home - saves the hassle of the three two flu.

(I realized there may be some who do not know of the three two flu. There are places in this country where alcoholic beverages served are limited to a certain alcohol content 3.2%. Well for people who drink real beer, are familiar with beer, and/or get caught up in a masters game of darts come to issues. First that night a person can find themselves literally full after a sip, so foam comes out the mouth. Secondly and not so much folklore as legend the resulting feelings in the a.m. tend to have a different and stronger negative as well as disruption to the normal intestinal activities, or as connected to teh president beer drinkin folks, its like a hangover with your finger in an outlet, sh^^ting all day long. Hence, the three two flu).

-Election 2012
One Calif. delegate hospitalized, another threatened with arrest
[LA Times] A Caliphornia Democratic Party official was hospitalized early Sunday morning, and another who allegedly falsely claimed to be a member of Congress was threatened with arrest in connection with a disturbance in the lobby of the delegation's hotel.

The man who was hospitalized was seen being carried from a taxi into the Blake Hotel shortly before 2 a.m., when he either fell or was dropped in the lobby, leading hotel staff to grow concerned about a head injury. As he lay unconscious on the floor, hotel employees called 911, checked vital signs and stabilized his body until paramedics arrived, strapped him to a board and took him to a hospital by ambulance.

"Often times at conventions, people who have not seen each other for a long time gather and sometimes people have too much to drink," said party front man Tenoch Flores. "That appears to have been the case here and we're gathering more information."

Information about the man's condition was unavailable Sunday afternoon.

The other party official, also a delegate, tried to intervene when hotel staff called the paramedics, arguing that the unconscious man had merely had too much to drink and ought to be put to bed. When he tried to physically move the man's body, hotel staff called the police.

When officers arrived, the man allegedly claimed to be a member of Congress at least twice, before stating repeatedly that he was a state party official. Police threatened to arrest him when he refused to provide identification, and hotel staff threatened to kick him off the property. He later apologized and was allowed to remain for the remainder of the night, with staff planning to contact state party officials Sunday to discuss whether he would be allowed to complete the remainder of his stay.

#1  Another case of 'Southern Hospitality' gone bad (at least in my opinion). If he had been a local miscreant they'd have had his ass in the slammer, conveniently located just a couple of blocks away, in a jiffy. Any local found in that condition would have woken up chained to the bed in the hospital.

O'Malley: We're Not Better Off Now
[National Journal] Democratic Gov. Martin O'Malley of Maryland, who is considered a possible contender for president in 2016, bucked other Obama surrogates on Sunday, saying that the country was not better off now than it was four years ago.

On CBS's Face the Nation, host Bob Schieffer asked: "Can you honestly say that people are better off today than they were four years ago?"

Responded O'Malley: "No, but that's not the question of this election. The question, without a doubt, we are not as well off as we were before George Bush brought us the Bush job losses, the Bush recession, the Bush deficits, the series of desert wars -- charged for the first time to credit cards, the national credit card."

Quipped Schieffer: "George Bush is not on the ballots."

#1  When he was first elected I had warned people to hold on to your wallets. When he gets elected the first thing he does is pass some sort of tax for Maryland residents. Should he run for president as I am certain he wants to, he will create some new tax within his fist two weeks in office. He always has good reasons to raise taxes.

#6  Squeezed 40% out of each household. Clint was right, the only one doing better is Carter because he's now the second worst president ever, not the worst.

#3  Yes. The quick snotty tweet (twit?) shows absolutely nothing about somebody riveted to the program and feeling the need to share a feeling and response. Sure thing there dear.

#4  bman - LOL! Clint should've had a wedge or putter lying on that chair - would've been classic. More dems' heads would've exploded...

#5  Speaking of Hollywood. Saw 2016 today and two of the trailers intrigued me. Not the Clint one which looked good. But there was one about School choice/vouchers with a liberal cast. Also it looks like the Bin Laden film is coming out after the election.

Couldn't help but wonder if the Seals talking up now has spoiled the narrative on that last one.

Another American Legendary Tough Guy Warns American Voters
Norris and his wife, Gena, have filmed a public service announcement, unveiled exclusively at WND, wherein the two urge Christians to help save the country in November.

"We are here to talk about a growing concern we all share," Chuck Norris explains. "If we look to history, our great country and freedom are under attack. We're at a tipping point and, quite possibly, our country as we know it may be lost forever if we don't change the course in which our country is headed."

Gena warns that voter apathy among evangelicals in 2008 may have contributed to Obama's election in the first place.

"With our country at a crossroads, Chuck and I have asked ourselves what we can be doing to help support this great country we're blessed to live in and how we can encourage our like-minded American brothers and sisters to unite and let their voices be heard," she said. "It is estimated that in the 2008 election, 30 million evangelical Christians stayed home on voting day and Obama won the election by 10 million votes."

Chuck cautions Christians about the cost of doing nothing while the nation spirals into a state of socialism from which there will be no return.

He was a six-time undefeated World Professional MiddleWeight Karate Champion. He was also a renowned teacher in the martial arts, with celebrity students including Steve McQueen, Bob Barker, Priscilla Presley and Donnie and Marie Osmond.

He has gone on to found the United Fighting Arts Federation with more than 2,300 black belts all over the world. In 1997, Norris achieved another milestone in his life by being the first man ever in the Western Hemisphere to be awarded an eighth-degree Black Belt Grand Master recognition in the Tae Kwon Do system. This was a first in 4,500 years of tradition.

#2  The USA is already past its tipping point. Whatever it will turn into next will be subject to a lot of crying, screaming and foot-dragging. Joe Biden may even be reduced to pulling out his hair by the plugs.

Possibly by buying their latest piece of gym equipment that let's you do sit-ups, bench presses, curls, and pullups - all while holding a cold beer??? Hahahahahaha!!!

#4  I don't think the tipping point is past. I think if the next president can get the economy surging everything can be reversed. I also think Obama and Liberals will try to take credit for it.
Posted by: rjschwarz || 09/03/2012 20:58 Comments || Top||

#5  I very much doubt anyone can get the economy 'surging.' There are many ways to mitigate the ongoing disaster though, virtually none of which the incumbent has, is, or ever will be doing.
Posted by: Anguper Hupomosing9418 || 09/03/2012 21:45 Comments || Top||

#6  I suspect there is a lot of hiring and capital that has been held close because of the current conditions. A new administration and the right initial moves could go a long way towards setting things back right. Perhaps surging sounds more grand than I intended but compared to the trickle we currently have. Anyway the housing market is another story but I don't think the rest of the economy is as tied up in that now as it was.
