Why Vietnam is quitting Facebook
[ATimes] When logging onto Minds, an open-source social media platform, it is hard to miss the huge number of posts written in Vietnamese.

Of the platform’s over one million users, about 10% hail from Vietnam, according to recent media reports. What’s more, roughly 100,000 of those Vietnamese users signed up in the period of just one week, the reports said. That number is set to grow as internet users in the authoritarian nation seek out new secure online communication platforms after the ruling Communist Party passed a new cybersecurity law last month that requires big technology companies like Google and Facebook to open domestic offices and store their users’ data locally.

They will also be expected to censor any offending content within 24 hours of being asked by a ministry. That means "there is now no safe place left in Vietnam for people to speak freely," said Clare Algar, Amnesty International’s director of global operations, in a statement.

#2  Smart move. They don't want the NSA compromised companies snooping on them.

#3  Herb, they have a lot more to worry about than the NSA. You've been taking too much herb, IMHO.

James Clapper: 'Obama Is Responsible' for Starting Trump/Russia Investigations
[PJMedia] Former Director of National Intelligence (DNI) James Clapper let slip on CNN last week who was behind the ongoing investigations into Donald Trump and his associates.

In an attempt to defend his former boss from accusations he did nothing in response to Russia's election meddling, Clapper bragged that Obama was behind the "whole sequence of events which are still unfolding today." This would seem to include spying on the Trump campaign.

Clapper told CNN's Anderson Cooper on Thursday:

One point I'd like to make, Anderson, that I don't think has come up very much before, and I'm alluding now to the President's criticism of President Obama for all that he did or didn't do before he left office with respect to the Russian meddling. ...

If it weren't for President Obama, we might not have done the intelligence community assessment that we did that set off a whole sequence of events which are still unfolding today, notably, special counsel Mueller's investigation. President Obama is responsible for that, and it was he who tasked us to do that intelligence community assess in the first place. I think that's an important point when it comes to critiquing President Obama.

As you may recall, one of the bombshell texts between former FBI attorney Lisa Page and disgraced FBI agent Peter Strzok from early August 2016 mentions that "the White House is running this":
Get a life, Jim! We've been letting the Soetoro connection "slip" here at the Burg for nearly two years.

Did Obama, Brennan And Clinton Illegally Collude To Take Trump Down?
[InvestorsBusinessDaily] Russia Investigation: As the saying goes, a fish rots from the head down. Well, so do bad governments. Recent revelations about the behavior of President Obama and his CIA director John Brennan in pushing the bogus Russian collusion investigation suggest that's been the case. The release of the FISA application by the FBI to investigate alleged collusion between Russia and President Trump's campaign and recent comments made by top officials are eye opening.

Not only did President Obama know about the investigation, he seems to have pushed it from the very beginning.

But don't take our word for it. Here's what Obama's Director of National Intelligence, the nation's former spy master, James Clapper, told CNN's Anderson Cooper:
