British Labour MP forced to apologize for calling Israel a terrorist state
[IsraelTimes] You can be proud of being Jewish without being a Zionist, Lloyd Russell-Moyle said.

A senior British Labour Party member of parliament has apologized, after it emerged that he had made comments on social media in which he called Zionism a "dangerous nationalist idea" and accused Israel of terrorism.

Lloyd Russell-Moyle, 33, a shadow environment minister and the MP for Brighton Kemptown on England's south coast made the comments before becoming an MP in 2017, according to Britannia's Sunday Times.

In one comment, since deleted, Russell-Moyle wrote "The point is people who are form Jewish decent/Jewish but are not Zionist is that the two are not automatic that you can be proud of being Jewish but realize that idea of inheriting/claim a land that you may have never visited or seen but have a ’heritage’ claim for is not progressive in its very nature."

In another, he compared the State of Israel to South Africa's National Party, an Afrikaner ethnic nationalist party which held power in the country during the apartheid era before disbanding in 1997.

"Terrorism feeds of [sic] violence," he wrote, "that is why it is only Israel that can stop the violence, it was the National Party in South Africa that had to make the first steps."

Russell-Moyle gained his seat with the support of Jeremy Corbyn's faction of the Labour Party, which was heavily criticized in the run up to the last general election in December 2019 for normalizing antisemitism within the UK. He also has links to Momentum, the hard right faction of the Labour Party
...hard right?? That doesn’t sound right...
which helped Corbyn take power.

Last month Russell-Moyle sent a letter to Labour Party headquarters in support of Rebecca Massey, a "notorious" activist, according to The Sunday Times, who accused Israel of having the Labour and Conservative Parties "under control."

Massey was suspended from the party for backing Chris Williamson, a former MP who was blocked by Labour's National Executive Committee from standing as a Labour candidate at the last election due to a row between Williamson and the party over its handling of antisemitism allegations.

In his letter, Russell-Moyle included details only about Massey's support for the party, The Sunday Times reported.

Questioned over his comments, Russell-Moyle apologized, adding "I have now deleted these posts and recognize why they were offensive." He added that he would be contacting the Jewish Labour Movement for talks, saying "I am completely and unreservedly committed to supporting [Labour leader} Kier Starmer and Angela Rayner's pledge to rid the party of antisemitism."

His apology comes weeks after Starmer sacked Rebecca Long Bailey, his shadow education secretary, for sharing an article suggesting that Israel was inadvertently responsible for the death of George Floyd by training US coppers in the methods that resulted in his death.

Long-Bailey apologized, but Starmer said: "The sharing of that article was wrong. The article contained antisemitic conspiracy theories, and I have therefore stood Rebecca Long-Bailey down from the shadow cabinet." The Sunday Times noted that Russell-Moyle's apology is indicative that left-wingers within Starmer's team will try to remain within the executive and fight their position rather than resign on principle if challenged.

Trump administration rescinds rule on foreign students
[Ynet] The Trump administration has rescinded a rule that would have required international students to transfer schools or leave the country if their colleges hold classes entirely online this fall because of the coronavirus pandemic.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced the decision as a court hearing was getting underway on a challenge to the rule by Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Joe Biden: America Is Ready for ‘Systemic’ and ‘Institutional’ Changes
[BREITBART] Former Vice President Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden
...When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the princes of greed. He said, 'Look, here's what happened.'...
told a select group of news hounds on Monday that he is confident that he will win the election and that America is ready for "systemic" and "institutional" changes that will transform the country.Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin was invited to participate in Biden’s exclusive Zoom call, and reported:

One had the impression that Biden senses the potential for not only a big win but a unique moment akin to the 1930s. "I do think we’ve reached the point where one of those trite phrases everybody uses . . . it’s a real inflection point in American history and I don’t believe it’s unlike what [President Franklin] Roosevelt [faced]." He continued, "I think we have an enormous opportunity to make some really systemic changes relates to racism but institutional ways in which we handle things And I think the country is really ready."

Rubin emphasized that while Biden was also careful to present a more moderate persona to nervous voters, he understood that he "must win and win big so as to throw fear in the Republicans and claim a mandate" for larger changes.

Far from turning toward the center, Biden has shifted increasingly left after securing his party’s nomination.

In May, Biden said that the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
pandemic was an opportunity to "fundamentally transform" America. In June, Biden called for "revolutionary institutional changes." And on July 4, Biden promised to "transform" America, promising to " rip the roots of systemic racism out of this country."

Mad Maxine: Trump, Supporters, Making Sure Blacks ‘Do Not Rise To Any Level Of Influence And Power’
Except for the odd secretary of Housing and Urban Development and suchlike, but no need to acknowledge reality.
[THEGATEWAYPUNDIT] Rep. The Ageless and Downright Brilliant Comrade Maxine Impeach 45! Waters
...U.S. Representative for California's 43rd congressional district, serving since 1991, a total of 28.61820 years. A member of the Democratic Party, she is the most senior of the twelve black women currently serving in the United States Congress, and a member and former chair of the Congressional Black Caucus. Before becoming a member of Congress she served in the California Assembly, to which she was first elected back when Disco was in flower, in 1976, which would make it 43.61615 years. She has been a politician for virtually all her adult life. If she was a little brighter she'd be a Communist...
(D-CA) said on Sunday that President Trump and his supporters are all racist and are actively working to keep black people down.

Trump and his base "believe that it is their right and their responsibility to ensure that blacks and people of color and others do not rise to any level of influence and power, significant that would cause them not to be in total charge of the country," Waters said on MSNBC’s "AM Joy."

The Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, Democrat did not mention the fact that the last U.S. president, Barack Obama
I inhaled. That was the point...
, was black, and that he won easily in two elections.

Waters also said the U.S. "justice system is broken," adding that for black people, "it has never really been in our favor, and it has basically been responsible for ensuring that we could never ever get beyond this suppression and this oppression that has been forced upon us for so many years."

"So those who criticize Black Lives Matter, they can continue to do that, but I want to tell you the time has come now where we are joined by so many others who really were not there for us in the past." Waters continued.

The 80-year-old career politician said that racism is the cause of most social problems in America.

"You saw it in all of the protests where you had whites and blacks and Asians and old and young, all saying something is wrong with this country. Something is wrong with our criminal justice system. Something is wrong with our policing," Waters said. "It is racism."

CNN’s Jeff Zucker Announces ‘New and Expanded Race Team’
[BREITBART] CNN
...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for...
’s Jeff Zucker on Monday sent out a memo announcing a "new and expanded race team" as part of the network’s broader effort to ensure race coverage remains a "permanent part of our journalism."

The CNN Worldwide president sent a memo to staff on Monday detailing the "new and expanded" race team, which he said will ensure that race coverage continues to be a permanent part of their newsroom.

Zucker praised CNN’s past coverage, describing it as "powerful" and "emotional" and crediting it with helping to "shed a light on the growing movement against institutional racism."

"Today, I am pleased to announce that we are making an even more significant, sustained commitment to ensure race coverage is a permanent part of our journalism," he said in the memo, obtained by TVNewser.

"Many talented journalists around the organization work on or around race," he continued, praising Sara Sidner, Mallory Simon, John Blake, Abby Phillip, and Brandon Tensley, and "dozens of CNN journalists who regularly report out stories on this beat across Digital, Newsgathering, our contributors, and beyond."

"Race touches every aspect of our lives, and therefore every area of our coverage," he said. "That work will continue. It must."

"In that spirit, we are pleased to share the news of a new and expanded race team, which will contribute to all CNN platforms," he announced.

"This team will build on what so many do already at CNN and will provide the needed structure to cover this beat with more focus and force," he continued.

Former Dem Sen. McCaskill Goes Off on Lindsey Graham for Standing by Trump
[MEDIAITE] Claire McCaskill
...Now, why would I pay taxes on my airplane? Send the bill to the taxpayers!...
, former Democratic senator from Missouri, called former colleague Lindsey Graham
...soft-spoken senator from South Carolina, former best buddy of John Maverick McCain. Since McCain's demise, Graham has become more outspoken, more Republican and more of a supporter of President Trump. The speech he gave in support of Brett Kavanaugh was downright manly and really cheesed off the Dems...
a "POS" over the weekend for standing by President Donald Trump
...dictatorial for repealing some (but not all) of the diktats of his predecessor, misogynistic because he likes pretty girls, homophobic because he doesn't think gender bending should be mandatory, truly a man for all seasons......
, and she continued tearing into him on MSNBC Monday.Graham said Friday, prior to the president commuting Roger Stone’s sentence, that he believed such a move would be justified because "Mr. Stone is in his 70s and this was a non-violent mostly peaceful, first-time offense."

McCaskill responded, "You POS. You know the criminal justice system. He didn’t plead guilty. He asked for a jury trial. A jury convicted him of 7 felonies. And you are lying, you know no one gets probation after that. But then, you are now entrenched with the liars."

Mueller writes op-ed to defend his investigation of Roger Stone: ‘He remains a convicted felon’
[BIZPACREVIEW] Former special counsel Robert Mueller defended his investigation of Roger Stone on Saturday after President Donald Trump
...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US...
commuted the prison sentence for his longtime friend."We made every decision in Stone’s case, as in all our cases, based solely on the facts and the law and in accordance with the rule of law," Mueller wrote in an op-ed at The Washington Post.
Consensus is that someone put his name as "author", but it was Weissman and one or more of his Lawfare assholes that did the work, just as he couldn't even speak cogently about the "Mueller Report"
"The women and men who conducted these investigations and prosecutions acted with the highest integrity," he continued. "Claims to the contrary are false."

"The Russia investigation was of paramount importance. Stone was prosecuted and convicted because he committed federal crimes. He remains a convicted felon, and rightly so," Mueller added.

Trump commuted Stone’s prison sentence on Friday, days before he was set to begin a 40-month stint at a federal prison in Georgia.

Stone, 67, was convicted on Nov. 15 on charges that he made false statements to Congress about his discussions related to WikiLeaks, the group that released emails hacked from Democrats during the 2016 campaign. Stone was also convicted on a charge of obstructing a congressional investigation and witness tampering.

Ah, the hallowed fields of Gettysburg, where the Union Army fought a battle with someone or other. Lincoln's Gettysburg Address was 221 Main Street. He was the racist predecessor of Trump, in office when the slaves rose up and freed themselves, when black lives mattered and 600,000 others didn't.
[BREITBART] A Pennsylvania county commissioner recently called for Confederate statues at Gettysburg National Park to be removed, then deleted the online post due to major criticism.

“The only thing I could think of to do was, okay, I’ll just take it down. I actually unpublished my page for a little bit. Next week, I’ll probably bring it back up,” said Adams County Commissioner Marty Qually (D).

Qually claimed he was not trying to erase history but pointed to what happened when counterprotesters showed up at Gettysburg over the Independence Day weekend in response to online rumors about an Antifa flag burning.

Friday, ABC 27 provided screenshots of what appeared to be the commissioner’s since-deleted Facebook post.

It read:

Today, armed racist morons have come to our community responding to an obvious flag burning hoax. These racists have come to protect the confederate monuments, a made up situation which our local law enforcement had well in hand. They are walking in our community with semi-automatic weapons and confederate flags. Our local law enforcement doesn’t need the expense or the risk.

If this is the cost of having confederate monuments in Gettysburg and if this is the lesson we are to learn, then I’m out of the middle of the road. Take the confederate statues down. Our economy cannot survive a pandemic and a morondemic at the same time.

“We cannot allow our county to become a holiday destination for hate, racism, and false patriotism,” he wrote, adding that among them were “clear white supremacists, Klan members, coming to protect our monuments.”

#2  Yes, the war goes on. The North will always fight the south in all ways with their boot heal on their throats.

#3  As I commented some time back, I have not heard of any vandalism or confrontations at Antietam. I will always remember my visit there. Monuments from states on both sides of the conflict. It was a visit that was both solemn and educational for me. Two factors I don't see on the blm / antifa (I refuse to capitalize either) side.

#4  The North and South reconciled 100 years ago. Shame on anyone that wants them removed.

#5  The battles at Antietam, Bull Run, Shiloh, Chancellorsville, Cold Harbor, Vicksburg, Wilderness and Fredericksburg are probably not taught in public schools anymore, MM. It would require more research than most educators would care to perform.

I've been to all of those sites and you are correct, both solemn and educational for sure.

#6  After killing each other for four bloody years, at the end at Appomattox, the union army received the surrender of the Army of Northern Virginia. Gen Joshua Chamberlain was give the duty to receive the defeated army.

For my personal part I…have been in five battles…twice wounded myself—my horse shot—in the front line when the flag of truce came through from Lee—had the last shot + the last man killed, in their campaign; + yesterday was designated to receive the surrender of the arms of Lee’s Army of Northern Virginia.

---

Instructions had been given; and when the head of each division column comes opposite our group, our bugle sounds the signal and instantly our whole line from right to left, regiment by regiment in succession, gives the soldier’s salutation, from the “order arms” to the old “carry”— the marching salute. Gordon at the head of the column, riding with heavy spirit and downcast face, catches the sound of shifting arms, looks up, and, taking the meaning, wheels superbly…with profound salutation as he drops the point of his sword to the boot toe; then facing to his own command, gives word for his successive brigades to pass us with the same position of the manual, honor answering honor.

Joshua Chamberlain was a better man.

These idiots want to fight the war over, because they think the Democrats will win the next one.

#10  I read about the first re-enactment of " Picket's Charge " at the Battle of Gettysburg . It had veterans of that battle on booth sides of the re-enactment. It started and they couldn't complete it. They both started crying and ran into each others arms. I listen to excerpts of those Antifa White boy voices and dream of 25 mm chain guns.
