If masks work against covid why not let prisoners make their on masks? I see a major win for inmates if fit were to go commercial in a big way. They could cash in on it.
[RedState] Some weeks ago, Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota made a request for federal disaster relief after hundreds of millions of dollars in destruction occurred in Minneapolis. That damage came at the hands of rioting and looting in the aftermath of the death of George Floyd.
Those cities burned because Walz and the local leadership refused to stop the carnage, even as people were injured and killed in the chaos. The President had urged Minnesota to deploy troops early on, something that wouldn’t happen until later, after the damage was already done. Instead of accepting Trump’s offering of active duty troops, Walz refused while Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey trashed the President’s urging to get tough and stop the anarchy.
Now, these two figures want taxpayers from other states to help pay for their political cowardice and Trump has given them an answer that I’ll summarize – Go jump in a lake.
The federal government has denied Gov. Tim Walz’s request for aid to help rebuild and repair Twin Cities structures that were damaged in the unrest following George Floyd’s death.
Walz asked President Donald Trump to declare a “major disaster” for the state of Minnesota in his request to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) on July 2. More than 1,500 buildings were damaged by fires, looting and vandalism in the days of unrest that followed Floyd’s May 25 death in Minneapolis police custody, racking up more than $500 million in damages, according to Walz.
The governor’s spokesman, Teddy Tschann, confirmed late Friday that the request for federal aid was denied.
“The Governor is disappointed that the federal government declined his request for financial support,” Tschann said in a statement. “As we navigate one of the most difficult periods in our state’s history, we look for support from our federal government to help us through.”

No worries, I'm sure a Federal Robed Tyrant somewhere will issue an order that the request be approved. You just have to shop around! Did you try that judge in Hawaii?

While Secretary of Defense Mark Esper had publicly said Vindman would not be punished, it appears senior Army officers felt differently, suggesting he needed a “rehabilitative assignment” after his year at the National War College.
"Rehabilitative assignment"...? Post Commander, Fort Greely, AK ?

If such a thing would be true, then fellow citizens we are looking at the biggest refund in recorded history because there is manifestly no reason to keep the lights on any more.

[DailyWire] Law enforcement officials in St. Louis have allegedly served a warrant on the St. Louis couple who recently defended their home when a large mob of angry demonstrators allegedly trespassed onto their private property.
“5 On Your Side has learned St. Louis police officers executed a search warrant Friday evening at the home of Mark and Patricia McCloskey, the Central West end couple who confronted protesters with weapons in June,” KSDK News reported. “Sources tell 5 On Your Side police seized one of the weapons, the rifle, from the couple and they told police their attorney has the pistol seen in photos.”
Attorney Harmeet K. Dhillon responded to the news by tweeting, “Missouri is a Castle Doctrine state, permitted among the broadest latitudes of any state in using even deadly force to protect yourself or your property. This couple used NO force, despite the imminent threat from a trespassing mob. The seizure of weapons is government overreach.”
The left-wing demonstrators returned to the couple’s home last week and were met by private security that was guarding the home.
“When about 300 protesters returned Friday — holdings signs reading ‘Black Lives Matter. Period’ and ‘No Justice, No Peace’ — a more subdued Mark McCloskey could be seen peering out from his balcony while his wife appeared to be shooting video of the marchers on her mobile phone,” the New York Post reported. “The photos also show private security guards setting up barricades and securing the gate prior to Friday’s new demonstration.”
Mark McCloskey, who guarded his private property with an AR-15, told a local news station following the incident, “We were threatened with our lives, threatened with the house being burned down, my office building being burned down, even our dog’s life being threatened. It was about as bad as you can get. You know, I really thought it was the storming of Bastille, that we would be dead and the house would be burned and there was nothing we could do about it. It was a huge and frightening crowd and they broke in the gate and they were coming at us.”
St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kimberly Gardner, a Democrat, claimed that the McCloskey’s defending their private property was a “violent assault” and that authorities “will use the full power of Missouri law to hold people accountable.”
Albert Watkins, the McCloskeys’ attorney, told Fox News that “If Kimberly Gardner wants to press charges against two attorneys who are protecting their home and their family and themselves on their own property, I will tell you that it will be nothing short of the proverbial cluster f***.”

A state that can not or will not defend your person, your family or your property is not legitimate. It's just another shake down racket behind cultural rituals.
[Ynet] U.S. President Donald Trump is threatening to abolish tax exemptions for schools and colleges due to what he calls "radical Left Indoctrination."
Trump said on Twitter on Friday he was ordering the Treasury Department to re-examine the tax-exempt status of schools that he says provide "radical indoctrination" instead of education.
"Too many Universities and School Systems are about radical Left Indoctrination, not Education," he tweeted.
"Therefore, I am telling the Treasury Department to re-examine their Tax-Exempt Status and/or Funding, which will be taken away if this Propaganda or Act Against Public Policy continues. Our children must be Educated, not Indoctrinated."

Separation of church and state does not mean churches get a free ride on taxes. Unless you are going to minimize taxes for everyone (which ain't gonna happen), then tax the church and the oodles of land and property it owns.

Moving the Overton Window on the subject. Also, laser pointing for the journalists/Progressives/Democrats to leap at while other things get quietly done, about which we will hear later.

#11: I think it's becoming more and more obvious we need another revolution, rather than a different Constitution. Our constitution is great, but only when the "elected officials" follow it. The only set of laws more broken than the Constitution is the 10 Commandments.

[FoxNews] Cat gets voter registration application in the mail – after dying 12 years ago; owner says her late pet was a 'Democat' "He was a black cat. I mean, c'mon, MAN! What else could he be?"
An Atlanta family said it received a voter registration form this week for their cat Cody Tims – who died 12 years ago.
"There's a huge push but if they're trying to register cats, I'm not sure who else they're trying to register,” the late feline’s owner, Carol Tims, told Fox5 Atlanta. “I'm not sure if they're trying to register dogs, mice, snakes.”
The Tims say they found the form addressed to the cat in their mailbox on Wednesday.
Carol Tims described Cody as a “great cat, indoor and outdoor” who “loved his family, loved his neighborhood” and lived to the age of 18.
But in terms of his voting prospects, “he's a cat and he's been dead for a long time,” Tims told Fox5 Atlanta.
The Georgia Secretary of State's Office told the station that they did not send out the form and that third-party groups behind such applications often use mailing lists to obtain names and addresses of people — and in this case, a cat.
"Third-party groups all over the country are targeting Georgia to help register qualified individuals,” it said in a statement. “This group makes you wonder what these out-of-town activists are really doing. Make no mistake about it, this office is dedicated to investigating all types of fraud."
Asked how Cody might have voted in the polls – if he could – Tims told Fox5Atlanta that he was a “Democat.”
