Biden announces slate of gun control actions, claims 'public health crisis'
(Fox) President Biden on Thursday announced a set of executive actions and legislative proposals on gun control, saying that gun violence is "a public health crisis" and the administration's actions do not contravene Second Amendment rights.

The administration aims to "confront not just the gun crisis but what is actually a public health crisis," Biden said in his remarks in the Rose Garden. He was joined by Vice President Harris.

"Nothing I'm about to recommend in any way impinges on the Second Amendment," Biden said. "These are phony arguments suggesting that these are Second Amendment rights at stake from what we're talking about."

Continuing, Biden said: "But no amendment to the Constitution is absolute ... From the very beginning, you couldn't own any weapon you wanted to own. From the very beginning the Second Amendment existed, certain people weren't allowed to have weapons. So the idea is just bizarre to suggest that some of the things we're recommending are contrary to the Constitution."In attendance were several high-profile gun control activists, including Brady United president Kris Brown, former Rep. Gabby Giffords, D-Ariz., and Fred Guttenberg.

An administration official detailed the actions to reporters on Wednesday. Among them, Biden is asking the Justice Department (DOJ) to propose within a month a rule to stop "ghost guns," which are "kits" people can buy legally to assemble a functioning firearm that does not have a serial number.

Biden is also asking the DOJ to propose within 60 days a rule on braces used for handguns, which make them more accurate; to propose action on "community violence intervention"; to publish suggestions for "red flag" legislation; and is asking his administration to issue a report on gun trafficking.

Biden also formally announced David Chipman as the director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

A senior administration official Wednesday said that Chipman will respect the Second Amendment while he enforces gun laws. "I've seen with my own two eyes what a bullet can do to the human body ... and I've fought my entire career to fight this violence and to pass reasonable gun safety measures," Harris said as she introduced Biden.

"What are we waiting for? Cause we aren't waiting for a tragedy... We've had more tragedy than we can bear," she said. "The solutions exist... people on both sides of the aisle want action, real people ... so all that is left is the will and the courage to act."

The Biden administration is also expected to throw its weight behind gun control proposals in Congress.

"Enough prayers, time for some action," Biden said of Congress. "I believe the Senate should immediately pass three House-passed bills to close loopholes that allow gun purchases, purchasers, to bypass the background checks."He also pushed for two gun control laws that would go even further than that.

"We should also ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines in this country," Biden said. He said "there's no reason" a person would need a weapon that can hold "100 rounds."

"We should also eliminate gun manufacturers from the immunity they receive from the Congress," Biden said, referring to the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA), a law that prevents gunmakers from being sued for crimes committed with guns they sell legally.

"This is the only outfit that is exempt from being sued," he continued. "If I get one thing on my list... give me that one because I tell you what there would be a come to the Lord moment these folks would have real quickly."Some of Biden's claims during the press conference are regularly disputed by Republicans, including that gun manufacturers can't be sued and that background checks aren't required at gun shows.

Indeed, the PLCAA only protects against suits for "harm solely caused by the criminal or unlawful misuse of firearm products or ammunition products." This does not count, for example, if a gun is defective or if a gun was knowingly given to a person who is banned from possessing one. Further, the "gun show loophole," as it is known, is not actually about gun shows. All federally licensed commercial dealers, at gun shows or not, must conduct background checks. But federal law permits some non-commercial sellers who don't need to be licensed to sell guns without conducting background checks. These sales sometimes happen at gun shows.

Republicans, meanwhile, have expressed their suspicion of Biden's agenda which goes even further than what he announced Thursday.

"By appointing the anti-gun Merrick Garland as attorney general and nominating David Chipman — formerly a senior staffer at the leading gun control lobby — to head ATF, Biden has made clear his sights are set on restricting the rights of law-abiding gun owners while ignoring criminals and foregoing substantive measures that will actually keep Americans safe," the National Rifle Association (NRA) said in a statement.

"Further, the proposals Biden announced tonight could require law-abiding citizens to surrender lawful property and enable states to expand gun confiscation orders. The NRA will fight this nomination and ill-conceived executive actions," the NRA also said.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., added: "President Biden plans to announce his attempts to trample over our constitutional 2A rights by executive fiat. He is soft on crime, but infringes on the rights of law-abiding citizens. I won’t stand for it. And neither will House Republicans. Follow the Constitution!"Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said, "The answer is not to restrict the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens, the answer is to go after violent criminals and come down on them like a ton of bricks."

Attorney General Merrick Garland also spoke at the event. He said that gun control is needed to prevent further "tragedy" from gun violence.

"We stand here today not at a moment of tragedy but in the midst of an enduring tragedy," Garland said.

Brady United, one of the highest-profile gun control groups in the U.S., billed Biden and Harris as "the strongest gun safety ticket in history" at an event last fall.

"President Biden’s actions are historic and they will have an immediate impact. These are tangible and powerful policies that will save lives," Brown said of the president's executive actions in a statement Wednesday.

Oh, in a heart beat. The second militia act of 1792 directed the free citizens to arm themselves with the same weapon issued to the soldiers of the newly minted US Army. The founder did not trust a large standing army. They put their trust in the people.

That statement is the precisely reason a person needs assault weapons and weapon that can hold > 100 rounds. The 2nd amendment is not primary for defence against criminals - or for hunting but against the *GOVERNMENT ITSELF*.

The more I see what the government is doing the more I am coming to realize that.

GOP Senator: Biden Admin Told Us to 'Delete the Pictures' from Border Visit
[Western Journal] Republican Wyoming Sen. John Barrasso said the Biden administration told him and his colleagues to delete photos they took while visiting the southern border.

In an interview with Maria Bartiromo on "Sunday Morning Futures" this weekend, Barrasso detailed what officials allegedly told him and other lawmakers while touring the border on March 26.

"You’ve seen the video coming out of all of these kids crammed together under the foil blankets, huddling together," he said.

"We were told to delete the pictures. No one did."

"They are crammed in like sardines, and this is what the Biden administration is trying to hide from the American public, which is why we took video and the Biden administration tried to stop us," Barrasso said.

Ukrainian detained in Dubai over raunchy naked balcony photoshoot claimed to be US Democratic Party adviser

[RT] A man purporting to be a US political strategist has reportedly been detained by police in the United Arab Emirates, after more than a dozen models ditched their kit for saucy snaps on a balcony in the conservative Gulf country.

Kiev-based news network Strana reported on Tuesday that Vitaly Grechin, originally from the Ukrainian capital, had been arrested by officers in Dubai. Footage shot by a startled neighbor showed the group posing for naked pictures on the terrace of a high-rise apartment, and went viral online.

Authorities in the Gulf state said that "the recently publicized photo shoot contravened UAE law" and added that "the individuals involved will be deported." The stunt is said to have contravened laws banning indecency and pornography.

While the women were identified as being from countries of the former Soviet Union, particularly Ukraine, initial media reports claimed that the male organizer involved was Russian. However,
corruption finds a dozen alibis for its evil deeds...
a number of other outlets later identified him as a Ukrainian.

Citing sources in the troubled Eastern European country, Strana claims that Grechin has spent much of his life in America and is notorious for posting pictures of himself surrounded by scantily-clad women. In an interview with the local ’Exclusive Style’ magazine, he reportedly claimed to have served in the US Army before returning to Kiev to work in the American Embassy.

At the same time, Grechin is said to have revealed in the archived interview that he had a personal relationship with former US President Barack Obama
My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you'll join with me as we try to change it...
, and even helped with the financing of the Democratic politician’s election campaign. In snaps posted to his Facebook page, he posed alongside both Obama and former presidential candidate Crooked Hillary Clinton

. Other pictures show him eating spaghetti alongside George Clooney and staging another sultry photoshoot with models on a boat.

It is unclear whether Grechin is among those set to be deported from the UAE, but if charged with breaching decency laws, he could face a lengthy spell in an Emirati prison.

Government Corruption
Unearthed E-mails Place Hunter Biden at West Wing Meeting With Then VP Biden and Burisma Board Partner Devon Archer.
[The National Pulse] Previously unseen e-mails on Hunter Biden's "Hard Drive from Hell" point to never-before-seen evidence of involvement by Joe Biden in his son's lucrative business dealings in Ukraine with natural gas conglomerate Burisma Holdings, The National Pulse can exclusively reveal.

In a previously unreported email reviewed by The National Pulse, Rosemont Seneca Partners employee Joan K. Peugh advises Hunter Biden – who is addressed by his given name, Robert – that he is scheduled for a White House meeting on April 16th, 2014.

Prior to today, it was known that Devon Archer had attended the meeting in the West Wing, and corporate media outlets excused the matter as an "art project" discussion. Today, that version of events ends.

Just days after this meeting, then Vice President Joe Biden visited Ukraine, and both Hunter and Archer would start receiving whopping checks from energy company Burisma, an industry in which they had zero experience.

Hunter Biden recently admitted the previously dismissed "hard drive from hell" actually "could" be his.

The line item of the e-mail, itself dated April 15th 2014, reads: "1115AM- Meet Devon and Luke @ Peet's Coffee and head to WH (Jamie Lyons is ####### if anything comes up)."

Lyons, at the time, was an assistant to Joe Biden's chief of staff Steve Richetti, which indicates attention by the Vice President himself into the visit of the two soon-to-be Burisma board members.

Significantly, this April 16th meeting occurred only five days before Joe Biden took his second vice presidential trip to Ukraine to deliver a substantial package of assistance to Ukraine, including energy security, some of which directly benefitted the company – Burisma – which would simultaneously start fattening his son's wallet.

Officials investigating child sex abuse, neglect allegations at Texas migrant shelter
[NYPOST] Texas officials are investigating allegations of child sex abuse and neglect at San Antonio’s Freeman Expo Center, where thousands of migrant children who crossed the border are being held.Texas Gov. Greg Abbott
... governor of Texas. Abbott is a Republican. His 2014 Dem opponent, state senatrix Wendy Davis, thought the absolute, most pressing, most important issue facing the state was abortion. Abbott beat the pantyhose off her. His 2018 opponent, Lupe Valdez didn't dwell too heavily on abortion, but she lost too...
made the alarming announcement at the center Wednesday night, according to News 4 SA.

The Republican said there are four complaints being investigated: child sex abuse, understaffing, unfed children and a failure to separate kids with COVID-19 from healthy children, the report said.

"Earlier today the Texas Health and Human Services commission and Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, separately received tips that alleged child abuse and neglect at the San Antonio migrant facility," Abbott reportedly said. "These products are a biproduct of President Joe Biden
...... 46th president of the U.S. Sleazy Dem mschine politician, paterfamilias of the Biden Crime Family......
’s policies.

"In short, this facility is a health and safety nightmare," Abbott said, according to the NBC affiliate.

Abbott reportedly called on the president to shut down the facility, and move children to safer ones.

"While we wait on the Biden administration to act, I’m directing DPS and Texas Rangers to immediately begin investigating these allegations," Abbott said.

Cuomo admin tracked nursing home deaths months before incomplete DOH report
[NYPOST] The Cuomo administration began tracking COVID-19 related out-of-facility nursing home resident deaths as early as last April — yet still withheld the data from a state Health Department report released nearly three months later, according to a document obtained by The Post. The state DOH memo sent out to the administrators of nursing homes and adult care facilities directed them to report daily the number of residents who died of COVID-19, including "if the death occurred in" their "facility or the hospital setting."

A copy of the directive obtained by The Post is dated April 18, 2020 — about eleven weeks before a health department report that excluded the number of nursing home residents who died of coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
outside of their facilities.

Last month, The Wall Street Journal reported that Gov. Andrew Sonny Cuomo’s top aides pushed the DOH to omit the out-of-facility nursing resident deaths.

#1  Why is no one charging these government officials with malfeasance or a related crime. This is so far beyond the duties and oath of office to be ridiculous.
Malfeasance is "Intentional conduct that is wrongful or unlawful, especially by officials or public employees. Malfeasance is at a higher level of wrongdoing than non-feasance (failure to act where there was a duty to act) or misfeasance (conduct that is lawful but inappropriate)."

Blame Pelosi, not top Capitol cop: Devine
[NYPOST] Steven Sund, the popular US Capitol Police chief fired on live television by Nancy San Fran Nan Pelosi
Congresswoman-for-Life from the San Francisco Bay Area, born into a family of professional politicians. On-again-off-again Speaker of the House. It's not her fault when they lose, but it's her accomplishment when they win. Noted for her heavily botoxed grimace and occasional senior... uhhh... moments...
less than 24 hours after January’s Capitol riot, is sorely missed by his troops in their hour of need.

Morale has plummeted and officers are resigning or contemplating early retirement in the aftermath, scapegoating and despicable politicization of the Capitol riot. Two have did away with himself.

A bad situation took a turn for worse last Friday when Capitol Police Officer Billy Evans was killed and another officer injured by an Islamist Louis Farrakhan follower who rammed a car into a police barricade outside the Capitol.

It was Sund who quietly went to visit the injured officer, Kevin Shaver, in hospital Saturday, and Sund to whom officers turned for advice and consolation after the lone-wolf attack. They keep asking if he can return to his job.

When the remains of Officer Brian Sicknick, who died in unexplained circumstances the day after the Jan. 6 riot, were lying in honor in the Capitol rotunda, it was Sund who slipped in before dawn to pay his respects before House Speaker Pelosi staged her self-serving spectacle.

Sund, a decorated, 25-year career veteran of counterterrorism at the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, DC, where he was commander of the Special Operations Division, had been running the Capitol police for 18 months.

He had tried for two days to get permission for National Guard backup before the riot but was blocked by people doing the bidding of Pelosi.

Pelosi has never owned up to her role in the woeful undermanning of the Capitol police that day. Instead, she blamed Sund and her loyal House sergeant at arms, Paul Irving.

By scapegoating Sund, who had capably led his outnumbered troops that terrible day, and kept every member of Congress safe, she was blaming the very officers who fought valiantly for hours to defend the Capitol.

"I am calling for the resignation of the chief of the Capitol Police, Mr, Sund," Pelosi declared at a televised presser on Jan. 7. "He hasn’t even called us since this happened."

Sen. Joe Manchin pledges support for the filibuster in new op-ed
[NYPOST] West Virginia Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin has pledged that under "no circumstance" will he vote to eliminate the filibuster amid a push by his other members of his party to reform the rule."I have said it before and will say it again to remove any shred of doubt," Manchin, a moderate, wrote in a op-ed published in The Washington Post on Wednesday.

"There is no circumstance in which I will vote to eliminate or weaken the filibuster," he wrote.

"The time has come to end these political games, and to usher a new era of bipartisanship where we find common ground on the major policy debates facing our nation."

Progressive Democrats in the Upper Chamber have been leading a push to abolish the filibuster in order to more easily pass the party’s more ambitious legislative proposals.

"Here, the intimate images published by (the Daily Mail) spoke to (Hill’s) character and qualifications for her position, as they allegedly depicted (Hill) with a campaign staffer whom she was alleged to have had a sexual affair with and appeared to show (Hill) using a then-illegal drug and displaying a tattoo that was controversial because it resembled a white supremacy
...the pernicious doctrine that laws were intended to be obeyed, that society works better when people don't pour shreiking from their places of worship every Friday for a weekend of rioting over insults real or imagined; and that cannibalism, beastiality, incest, murder, theft, rape, and similar activities are bad. A Dead White European (which invalidates his opinion) philosopher once opined that societies thrive when a person's word can be relied upon, and that a society which puts individual happiness first will invariably fail. Strangely enough, other successful societies, such as China, Japan, Korea, and those kinds of places could also be lumped with white supremacist societies, since they push the same values...
symbol that had become an issue during her congressional campaign," Orozco wrote.

"Accordingly, the images were a matter of public issue or public interest."

The judge cited first amendment grounds in dismissing the suit, saying that sharing is "what journalism is all about," according to the LA Daily News.

Hill sued the Mail, Redstate.com and her ex-hubby Kenny Heslep in December, arguing that they had distributed "nonconsensual porn" by publishing the images, including a nude photo taken by Heslep.

The former congresswoman said she "suffered extreme emotional distress, attempted suicide and was forced to quit her job," over the publication of the sexually explicit photos.

Her attorneys argued the images were not in the public interest because the publication could have just described them instead.

But the judge found that argument "unpersuasive," according to the report.

"The fact that information to be gleaned from an image may be disseminated in an alternative manner does not equate to a finding that the image itself is not a matter of public concern," Orozco ruled.

Carrie Goldberg, Hill’s lawyer, said in court Wednesday that there is something "fundamentally different" about sharing nude photos — and warned that Orozco’s ruling would give anyone calling themselves a journalist free reign to publish such content.
