[BabylonBee] Rural Americans Burn Kamala Harris At The Stake For Witchcraft After She Shows Them A Photocopier
PODUNK, KS—Vice President Kamala Harris caused quite a stir while trying to help rural Americans vote. She traveled to some of the most backwater areas of America — thousands of miles from civilization — and brought a photocopier to show them how to copy an ID card. The rural Americans had never seen such a device, though, and soon became angry at it.
"It’s stealing our documents’ souls!" exclaimed one simple rural American upon seeing his ID copied. He then pointed an accusing finger at Harris. "She must be a witch!"
"I am not a witch," Harris stated, though her statement was undercut by the way she kept cackling like one.
The angry rural folk then tied Harris to a stake to burn her as a witch.
"It was not my idea to impose advanced city technology on your simple rural brains!" Harris pleaded with them. "That is the fault of the Republicans! I wanted to spare you from this!"
The rural people ignored her and began lighting kindling around her feet.
"Science forgive them!" Harris called out. "They know not what they do! For they are too rural and simple! Their brains are filled with nothing but knowledge about corn!"
After letting it go on for a few minutes, the Secret Service finally decided they should probably do something, so they put out the fire, untied Harris, and took her away on Broom One.

It's moments like this that the phrase 'impeachment insurance' comes to mind.
The democratic party is lead by the very best sock puppets that money can buy. (The 'pubs aren't lead at all.)

I had my city cousin type this for me:
My word! If only I was smart enuf (sic - Clem said this was correct spelling - big fight - shrug) to know what is going on. I quit school to help slaughter the corn and harvest the sheep.
[red state] We previously reported on the troubling expansion of satellite offices of the Capitol Police being planned across the country.
Unlike other federal government-related police which are subject to FOIA and part of the executive branch, the Capitol Police are under the control of Congress and not subject to FOIA. So, basically you have a police force controlled by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi spreading out across the country.
I’m not a conspiracy fan, but you don’t have to be to find that problematic.
Now, there’s more that is setting off the alarm bells in my head.
Not only will they be setting up across the country, starting first with offices in California and Florida, but they will have military surveillance equipment as they become "an intelligence based protective agency," according to the Washington Times. Defense Secretary Loyd (sic) Austin recently approved the Capitol Police’s request for eight Persistent Surveillance Systems Ground — Medium (PSSG-M) units. The system provides high-definition surveillance video and is enabled with night vision. The system does not include facial recognition capabilities, according to the Pentagon.
"This technology will be integrated with existing USCP camera infrastructure, providing greater high definition surveillance capacity to meet steady-state mission requirements and help identify emerging threats," the Pentagon said.
The technology, originally used by the U.S. troops during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, allows the user to monitor large areas 24/7 through extremely high-resolution cameras.
Oh, no problem there either.
More?In a wartime application, the persistent surveillance units were mounted on tethered blimps. The data could be stored, combined with sensor data from other platforms, and later referenced or rewound to track individuals or groups.
It could be used by the military to develop a "pattern of life" analysis on suspected enemy combatants or intelligence targets in war zones.
The Army is going to teach the Capitol Police how to use the technology.
It just looks tailor-made to spy on large groups of people, particularly events like protests. I’m betting they wouldn’t be aiming for leftist protests either. But, really, it can involve spying over a large area. What’s the justification for that, all of the sudden? All of this because of a three-hour riot? Why does this not sound like it’s just to deal with present threats against members of Congress? And can we talk about the problems of using such things to spy on Americans — and all the constitutional questions that might raise?
The Washington Times notes that a federal appeals court ruled against the use of persistent surveillance technology similar to "Gorgon Stare technology," which they found to be unconstitutional because of the wide area of coverage allowing the tracking of hundreds at a time.
So, what’s going on here? And why is there so little coverage of this? Because whether you’re on the right or the left, this should concern both sides of the aisle.

Frightening but not surprising. I assume the republican in congress are being silent because they believe they will be in control of this beast next year. This is extremely dangerous equipment. It could identify a small arty, or rocket, being fired and have fire data and direct return fire at a point where the truck with a rocket on it could not get out of the space fast enough to escape return fire. IE the return fire would be in the air before the enemy rocket hits its target. This thing tracks and data transfers at a star wars pace. For her to deploy something like it in America settles any comments of their intent for America becoming a police state or not.

[Freedom Journal] Barr Forbid Fraud Investigations Says President — President Trump, at yesterday’s talk at Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) revealed that "a day ago (he) received a statement from the U.S. attorney, highly respected, in Pennsylvania, that Bill Barr would not allow him to investigate voter fraud."
[TownHall] - Are the Democrats headed for their Little Bighorn, with President Joe Biden as Col. Custer? The wish, you suggest, is father to the thought. Yet, consider.
On taking office, Biden held a winning hand.
Three vaccines, with excellent efficacy rates, had been created and were being administered at a rate of a million shots a day. The pandemic was at its peak but looking certain to turn down, and it did.
This welcome news lifted national spirits, and the economy with it.
And the new president was taking office in a brief era of good feelings produced by the departure of the party and president who had given us the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
Thus did Biden begin his administration with his approval at a level his predecessor never reached in any year of his presidency.
Happy days were here again.
But now the storm clouds are gathering and rumbling.
By last week, Biden's disapproval rating had risen into the 40s, and half the country believed America was "on the wrong track."
Yet it is not what has happened but what impends that appears ominous for Biden's and his party's prospects.
With not quite 70% of U.S. adults having received a vaccination, a new and more contagious delta variant of the disease is spreading worldwide, and an uptick in new U.S. infections has been reported.
In the economy, with markets at an all-time high, an old demon has reappeared. Writes today's Wall Street Journal:
"Americans should brace themselves for several years of higher inflation than they've seen in decades, according to economists who expect the robust post-pandemic economic recovery to fuel brisk price increases ... If the economists prove correct, Federal Reserve officials might have to raise (interest) rates sooner or more than they expect to keep inflation under control."
Inflation and rising interest rates to combat it is usually a near-fatal cocktail for a party in control of the White House and Congress in the year they face the electorate.
In addition to warning lights flashing in the economy, Biden has presided over a sudden crisis along the southern border, where 170,000 illegal migrants are being apprehended every month.
"Getaways" — border-crossers who sneak in and evade contact with the Border Patrol — now number 30,000 a month.
Who these people are and whence they came, we know not.
Former President Donald Trump's policies secured the border, and this new invasion is traceable to Biden's trashing of Trump's policy.
Indeed, Biden's designation of Vice President Kamala Harris as point person on the border crisis, and her reflexive recoil from the duties of that assignment, testify that this latest invasion could be a killer issue for Democrats in 2022.
