Time To Read 1984 Again?
Was dusting off and sorting out my book shelves and found my old paperback copy of 1984. So I started thumbing thru it and saying to myself yep that happened, that is happening, and etc...

eg. Ministry of Truth
The Ministry of Truth controls information: news, entertainment, education, and the arts. Winston Smith works in the Records Department, "rectifying" historical records to accord with Big Brother's current pronouncements so that everything the Party says appears to be true.

So while we "Hear" a lot of about how the USA is mimicking 1984, when was the last time you analyzed and compared it yourself?

Here is an currently published WiKi example of the 1984 Plot.
Will it read the same in 2 to 3 years?

While on the sub-subject of Ministry of Truth

How the Media almost screwed up D-Day 1944.

" JUNE 3, 1944"

‘False Flash’ reports Allies’ landing early

Three days before Allied troops successfully stormed the beaches of Normandy, The AP reported the invasion and it was carried worldwide in
Newspapers and radio stations that the attack was underway after the Associated Press sent out a news “flash” that the Allies were landing in France.

June 5th, 1944 the AP said it was a mistake.
Claiming it was an error after the NAZI's placed its military on high alert. The AP then placed blame on an unknown young clerk practicing up typing AP Telex feeds.

The next day, June 6, the real invasion took and Nazi's re-enforcing the France coastal areas.

One has to wonder how many lives that accidental "warning" cost.

#2  NN2N1,

Likely not a one - Der Fuhrer und Reichkanzler was convinced that the landings were coming to the north at the Pas de Calais. By military logic, that actually made far more sense than Normandy, and the Allied deception plans took advantage of that.

Three days later, when the invasion actually hit, Hitler refused to allow his reinforcements to move until past noon on the 6th....and it was actually IIRC the 7th before he relinquished full control of the reserves to his commanders.

That's not to say that the Allies didn't dodge a bullet that morning, but it appears that even if the Germans noticed, they would have written it off as more deception and misdirection.

US Border Arrivals Hail From Increasingly Far Away
[Spectator] The majority of new arrivals at the U.S. southern border have historically been from our close neighbors, Mexico and Central America. In April 2019, only 7.5 percent of migrants colonists encountered at the border came from countries other than Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador. In April 2021, 30 percent came from other countries. In recent months, border patrol has apprehended people from 160 countries.

Venezuela
...a country in Central America that sits on an enormous pool of oil. Formerly the most prospereous country in the region, it became infested with Commies sniffing almost unlimited wealth. It turned out the wealth wasn't unlimited, the economy collapsed under the clownish Hugo Chavez, the murder rate exceeded places like Honduras and El Salvador. A significant proportion of the populace refugeed to Colombia and points south...
ns have been fleeing that socialist paradise in large numbers since Hugo Chavez took power in 1998. Many of these Venezuelans settled in neighboring countries, including Brazil and Colombia, but in recent months there has been an influx of Venezuelans into the United States. In April, over 6,000 Venezuelans were stopped by border patrol, and just a small percentage were denied entry into the United States. This increase in Venezuelan arrivals came after the Biden administration ramped up protections for Venezuelans with Temporary Protected Status guarantees in March.

Temporary Protected Status allows foreign nationals from approved countries with natural disasters or conflicts to work and live in the United States without fear of deportation for a time. While "temporary" is in the name of the designation, it can last for decades.

Similar protections were offered to Haitians. Haiti, which has been an unstable country since it began, has seen mass emigration to the United States since the 1950s. With these new protections, thousands of Haitians have made their way to the U.S. since President Joe Biden
...... 46th president of the U.S. Old, boring, a plagiarist, fond of hair sniffing and grabbing the protruding parts of women, and not whatcha call brilliant... or is that an act?......
took office.

Even Europeans are seeking asylum at the southern border. Over 2,000 Romanian migrants colonists have been stopped by border patrol so far in 2021. This number is a massive increase from the 266 Romanians apprehended in all of 2020. Most of these Romanian citizens are ethnic Roma, rather than ethnic Romanians. The often nomadic European minority has been persecuted throughout history. While conditions have improved for the Roma after World War II, many are still impoverished. Recently, Roma migrants colonists have been flying from Gay Paree to Mexico City as tourists to enter the United States. While one can sympathize with the poverty of the Roma, it should be noted that European countries are largely safe and have expansive social safety nets and economic opportunities. It makes zero sense for the Roma to be granted asylum across the Atlantic.

In April, President Biden "banned" visas for Indians entering the U.S., citing the COVID-19 surge in the world’s most populous country. Because of the raging pandemic in India, many have fled. Like the Roma, many of the Indian arrivals have taken convoluted flight routes that eventually route through Gay Paree and Mexico City to enter the United States. As with the Roma, there are many safe and prosperous countries between India and the United States, so there can be no legitimate claim for refugee status in this country.

Increases in attempted migration into the United States do not always begin immediately after crises abroad. Recent political turmoil in Colombia and Æthiopia, along with other parts of the world, will likely lead to increases in border arrivals. While the Biden administration has said that "the border is closed," nothing could be further from the truth.

The Biden administration doesn’t want immigration to stop; it just wants a respite to put systems in place to get better at processing the migrants colonists. As the tired and huddled masses of the world continue to arrive at the border, it’s clear they’re following the administration’s actions more than its words.

If the Wuhan lab-leak hypothesis is true, expect a political earthquake
The set-up:
[Yahoo] There was a time when the Covid pandemic seemed to confirm so many of our assumptions. It cast down the people we regarded as villains. It raised up those we thought were heroes. It prospered people who could shift easily to working from home even as it problematized the lives of those Trump voters living in the old economy.

Like all plagues, Covid often felt like the hand of God on earth, scourging the people for their sins against higher learning and visibly sorting the righteous from the unmasked wicked. "Respect science," admonished our yard signs. And lo!, Covid came and forced us to do so, elevating our scientists to the highest seats of social authority, from where they banned assembly, commerce, and all the rest.

We cast blame so innocently in those days. We scolded at will. We knew who was right and we shook our heads to behold those in the wrong playing in their swimming pools and on the beach. It made perfect sense to us that Donald Trump
...The man who was so stupid he beat fourteen professional politicians, a former tech CEO, and a brain surgeon for the Republican nomination in 2016, then beat The Smartest Woman in the World in the general election...
, a politician we despised, could not grasp the situation, that he suggested people inject bleach, and that he was personally responsible for more than one super-spreading event. Reality itself punished leaders like him who refused to bow to expertise. The prestige news media even figured out a way to blame the worst corpse counts on a system of organized ignorance they called "populism."

But these days the consensus doesn’t consense quite as well as it used to. Now the media is filled with disturbing stories suggesting that Covid might have come — not from "populism" at all, but from a laboratory screw-up in Wuhan, China. You can feel the moral convulsions beginning as the question sets in: What if science itself is in some way culpable for all this?

*

I am no expert on epidemics. Like everyone else I know, I spent the pandemic doing as I was told. A few months ago I even tried to talk a Fox News viewer out of believing in the lab-leak theory of Covid’s origins. The reason I did that is because the newspapers I read and the TV shows I watched had assured me on many occasions that the lab-leak theory wasn’t true, that it was a racist conspiracy theory, that only deluded Trumpists believed it, that it got infinite pants-on-fire ratings from the fact-checkers, and because (despite all my cynicism) I am the sort who has always trusted the mainstream news media.

My own complacency on the matter was dynamited by the lab-leak essay that ran in the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists earlier this month; a few weeks later everyone from Doctor Fauci to President Joe Biden
...... 46th president of the U.S. We get to suffer the consequences......
is acknowledging that the lab-accident hypothesis might have some merit. We don’t know the real answer yet, and we probably will never know, but this is the moment to anticipate what such a finding might ultimately mean. What if this crazy story turns out to be true?

The answer is that this is the kind of thing that could obliterate the faith of millions. The last global disaster, the financial crisis of 2008, smashed people’s trust in the institutions of capitalism, in the myths of free trade and the New Economy, and eventually in the elites who ran both American political parties.

Meadows on COVID Origins: We Are in ‘Biden Cover-Up Mode' to Keep from Having to Hold China Accountable
[Breitbart] Former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows on Wednesday sounded off on COVID-19’s origins, which increasing evidence is pointing to a lab in Wuhan, China.

In 2020, then-President Donald Trump floated the theory the virus came from the lab, but members of the left immediately shot him down.

With more people, including opponents of Trump, admitting Trump’s theory is "plausible," Meadows said on Fox News Channel’s "America’s Newsroom" that there is now a "cover-up" to keep from having to hold China accountable for the outbreak.

"Really, what we are is in a Biden cover-up mode because they aren’t going to hold China accountable," Meadows emphasized. "Martha, Bill, when you are covering this topic, you are one of the few people willing to do it. Mainstream media and other outlets now are starting to say that it is plausible, but, you know, the headlines almost a year ago when the president was talking about this, the Washington Post came out and said, oh, it was debunked. Now, they are having to change that."

He continued, "I can tell you there is always a rush between some in the media to assume that the president was not right. And I can tell you President Trump was right when he said that people were spying on his campaign. They said that was not true. He was right when he says we weren’t literally looking at paying ransom — Russians were paying ransom in terms of the whole Russia hoax there, and he is right again that we need to investigate it, but yet we have an international group that’s saying we aren’t going to look any further. It doesn’t come as a surprise, and Joe Biden is not going to hold China accountable, sadly."

Lets say CCP is to blame and we know the COVID-19/21 has cost the US Economy & Taxpayers between $4 and $5 Trillion to date.

Since the CCP has purchased over $1.095 trillion US Treasury Bonds (national debt). Why not just call it an initial repayment for the total Covid-19/21 damages?

Sounds good, but wait! What about the inflationary impact? The "repayment" would simply be recovered by the CCP in higher prices at Walmart, COSCO, Best Buy, Target, Depot, etc. The Chinese buying of our national debt is key to the sustainment of the long-running beltway ponzi scheme.

NIH head Dr Francis Collins DISMISSED Wuhan lab leak theory in April 2020 email to Dr Fauci with subject line 'conspiracy gains momentum', newly released messages show
NIH Director Dr Francis Collins appeared to dismiss the theory that COVID-19 leaked from a Wuhan lab as a 'conspiracy' in an email to Dr Anthony Fauci
The subject line of Collins' email to Fauci, which was sent on April 16 last year, was titled 'conspiracy gains momentum'
It included a link to a Mediaite news article referencing comments made a day earlier about the Wuhan lab leak theory by Fox News anchor Bret Baier
The contents of Collins' email was redacted. Fauci replied on April 17 at 2.45am but his response was also blacked out

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Photolog: Vikings: Way to the East
Direct Translation of the article
[Regnum] The State Historical Museum has opened the exhibition “Vikings. Way to the East ". The exhibition is based on archaeological materials from the museum's funds and is dedicated to the life and culture of immigrants from Scandinavia.

“Exhibition“ Vikings. Way to the East ”is the first experience of anatomical display of Scandinavian antiquities in Eastern Europe. For a century and a half, the topic carried the burden of ideological disputes about the role of immigrants from Scandinavia to Eastern Europe. Our task was to show the real life and activities of the people who were called Vikings on the territory of Western Europe, and on our territory the Varangians played completely different roles on the territory of Western Europe and here, ”said the exhibition curator Veronika Murasheva.

The central image of the exhibition will be the reconstruction of a ship - a symbol of military and trade campaigns. The process of the military development of river routes will be demonstrated by items of retinue culture: weapons, armor and equipment of an equestrian warrior. Among them is a unique collection of helmets. One of them has survived only in fragments and was exhibited for the first time accompanied by a 3D reconstruction. Recently discovered hoards of silver coins will illustrate the extensive trade ties of the Vikings, from Eastern Europe to the Arab Caliphate.

“The era of the Vikings lasted from the end of the 8th to the middle of the 11th century. In this era, the "people of the north" - the Normans, terrified the inhabitants of Western Europe with their unexpected and brutal raids. But in Eastern Europe, the Vikings played a completely different role - mastering the river routes to the riches of the Arab Caliphate and the Byzantine Empire, they were a catalyst for socio-economic processes that ultimately led to the formation of the Old Russian state, ”says Director of the State Historical Museum Alexei Levykin.

Natives of Scandinavia were not only fearless warriors, but also skilled artisans - jewelers, blacksmiths, bone carvers. The exhibition presents sets of silver and bronze with gilding women's jewelry, as well as reconstructions of outfits made by modern craftsmen using ancient technologies. The main exhibit in this section is a 10th century Chinese silk dress for women, which has no analogues in other museum collections .

A separate part of the exhibition is devoted to the results of the latest research of the museum's archaeological collections, carried out jointly with the National Research Center "Kurchatov Institute". For the first time, the materials obtained as a result of excavations of the last years of the Smolensk archaeological expedition of the Historical Museum are presented. After the completion of the restoration work, a complex of objects found during the study in 2018 of one of the richest burial mounds of the Gnezdovo archaeological complex was exhibited. The complex includes a sword, gold Byzantine coins, a set of jewelry, playing chips and much more.

#1  immigrants from Scandinavia

It's white on white so we won't call it colonialism?
You know when outsiders come in and kick ass, pillage, loot, and make themselves the new bosses.

The Rus' people were an ethnos in early medieval eastern Europe. The scholarly consensus holds that they were originally Norse people, mainly originating from Sweden, settling and ruling along the river-routes between the Baltic and the Black Seas from around the 8th to 11th centuries

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
The Missing Link in Palestinian National Politics
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] The Paleostinian cause's huge gains, manifested in shifts in global public opinion, deserve to be celebrated and inspire optimism. Optimism not only regarding the Paleostinians' rights but also justice in the world we live in and its propensity for transformation. But this gain seeks Paleostinian investment in it, engagement with it, someone to grasp at its justice dimension, tied to anti-racism and countering discrimination, and to build on it.

Is this available today among Paleostinians?

While some Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood, leaders were talking to European and US media outlets in a language "the West likes to hear," last Sunday, Hamas held a rally in North Gazoo
