Stephen "redsteeze" Miller reminds me that King was a featured speaker at Bernie Sanders’s campaign launch in 2019. Not all Bernie admirers were thrilled by his affiliation with the candidate, though: "I woke up this morning to once again see Shaun King trending, and my immediate reaction was, ’What the hell did he do this time?'" To think, in an alternate universe where Sanders went on to win the Democratic nomination, the status of "white Jesus" is suddenly a major issue in the upcoming presidential election.
I regret that it isn’t. Out of sheer morbid curiosity, I’d like to see what Trump would do with that one.

A liberal artist relation casually threw into a Facebook conversation the scornful comment that Jesus is “dark skinned and Hebrew“ a week ago, contrasting that reality to the fair, blue-eyed images in European and American churches. She did it just to insult my religious Christian mother-in-law, whose niece she is, assuming bigotry and ignorance that does not exist, not to mention forgiveness and tolerance that does.
Historically, Christian artists have depicted Jesus looking like the local congregants. So images from the early centuries in Ethiopia and Libya show him with decidedly African features, in China as Han Chinese, while more recentlyGauguin painted him bright yellow.
This call to destroy “White Jesus” is profoundly parochial and ignorant.

They just need national bloodshed to keep the chaos alive for November and keep attention off of what the progressive socialists offer as president, a warmed over dotard and a black female radical in the wings to cement the end of the republic. Other than that, the interview on "Sunday Morning Futures With Maria Bartiromo" was a complete snore-fest.
Real Clear Politics provides a transcription of the interplay between the attorney general and host Maria Bartiromo, who told Barr:
"A source said to me a couple of years ago, speaking of the Russia collusion story, that this was the closest the United States ever came to a coup to take down a president since the assassination of Lincoln. Is that an appropriate statement?" Bartiromo asked Barr.
"In this sense, I think it is the closest we have come to an organized effort to push a president out of office," Barr agreed. "I’m not reaching a judgment to what the motivations there were."
He said that the motivations may have been different for each of the players in the scandal.

Objectivity in reporting was always impossible, but at least it used to be discussed as a goal. Now journalists boast of their advocacy journalism for an increasingly leftist agenda.
Former CBS reporter Bernard Goldberg chronicled the media’s slanting of the news in the first of his bestselling books, Bias. A CBS Insider Exposes How the Media Distort the News (2002) and has continued to document the trend ever since. Now that bias has swung to the radical left, the media increasingly damage their own credibility. Even Rolling Stone -- which abhors the president -- has published a piece titled, "The American Press Is Destroying Itself" by Matt Taibbi. It begins: "It feels liberating to say after years of tiptoeing around the fact, but the American left has lost its mind. It’s become a cowardly mob of upper-class social media addicts, Twitter Robespierres who move from discipline to discipline torching reputations and jobs with breathtaking casualness."
Taibbi condemns the "shaming, threats and intimidation" that are "replacing traditional liberal beliefs about tolerance, free inquiry, and even racial harmony." Taibbi has nailed it. Journalists who enjoy unfettered and constitutionally protected rights to say or write nearly anything they want in this country, and who predicted that Trump would silence them, now work to wrest rights of free speech from others. Failure to toe the line results in sudden job expulsions, coerced apologies for "wrong" statements, redefinitions of language, threats to ruin businesses and reputations, and campaigns to quash dissenting voices. Respected students of history rightly see echoes of the early days of Communism in these tactics.
[PJ] Former Secretary of State John Kerry is using some dangerous rhetoric about the 2020 election. In a recent panel discussion for the Alliance of Democracies, he made the following statement:
"If people don’t have adequate access to the ballot, I mean that’s the stuff on which revolutions are built. If you begin to deny people the capacity of your democracy to work, even the Founding Fathers wrote in the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, we have an inherent right to challenge that. And I’m worried that increasingly, people are disaffected."
Kerry’s comments should not be construed as typical Democrat rhetoric about voter suppression in the current environment. Especially when Kerry’s remarks specifically accuse Republicans of suppressing votes by denying Democratic voters access to the ballot box.
He does not limit this accusation to the upcoming election. Instead, Kerry says this is why he and Al Gore lost their elections. Then he paints it as systemic by stating the pattern repeated itself recently in Georgia. No doubt, he is referring to failed gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams’ evidence-free claims of voter suppression in 2018. Despite this assertion being thoroughly debunked, Democrats have repeated it consistently for almost two years.

This is how it works: a left-wing organization sues a government agency that is also controlled by the left. The lawsuit alleges that the agency is obliged to do something that the agency would like to do, but the Democrats can’t get it passed. Then the parties—supposedly adverse, but actually in collusion—"settle" the case by having the agency agree to do what it wanted to do all along. If all goes well, a court enters an order enforcing the settlement. So the net effect is that a policy that the Democrats couldn’t get passed is now a court-ordered mandate. This happens often.
In Minnesota, Democrats are colluding to enable voter fraud in the upcoming primary election. This presumably is a warmup for the same effort they will make to enable fraud in the general election in November. With many believing that President Trump has a good chance to carry Minnesota after coming close last time, the Democrats are taking no chances.
The case is League of Women Voters v. Simon. The League of Women Voters, a solidly Democratic organization, is "suing" Minnesota’s Secretary of State, left-wing activist Steve Simon. The lawsuit seeks to suspend Minnesota’s election laws, ostensibly on account of COVID-19, so that persons mailing in absentee ballots won’t need to satisfy the statutory requirement of a witness to verify their identity. Without that requirement, voter fraud will be even easier than it is at present. If a Democrat finds a ballot lying around, as will happen many thousands of times in Minnesota, where the voter rolls include hundreds of thousands of names that are dead or otherwise not eligible voters, he can fill it out and send it in, no questions asked.
Democratic Secretary of State Steve Simon, who consistently abuses his office to facilitate voter fraud, quickly agreed to the "settlement" that his party wanted.
If you think this is a scandal, you are right. Happily, the Trump presidential campaign and Minnesota’s Republican Party hired excellent lawyers to intervene in the case and seek to block the proposed "settlement." I have embedded their Opposition to the Proposed Consent Decree below. Here are a few quotes that demonstrate how the Democrats tried to achieve an illegal result by "settling" a collusive lawsuit.

The social workers will be dropped into terrorist hideouts to talk with militants about their feelings and defuse the situation. The move was made as a push against police work and firearms continues across the nation. As people continue to call on police departments to be defunded, the next logical target was the Navy SEALs.
"I can tell that you're angry at America -- do you want to talk about that?" one social worker asked after she was dropped off at a terrorist compound in Afghanistan. The terrorist replied by firing his AK-47 into the air.
"Interesting!" she said, scribbling down notes. "Tell me about your relationship with your father."
No social workers have returned from their deployments yet, but when they do, they will file a report and schedule a follow-up visit a month or so later. Heh
