2nd Amendment Sanctuaries Are Acts Of Faithlessness In Government
Immigration sanctuaries are just fine, because it's too expensive to obey the law in that case. Seriously, that's an argument that they make in the editorial.
[LATimes] Nearly two years ago, the governing board of Effingham County, Ill., passed a resolution declaring itself a “sanctuary county” and barring “employees from enforcing the unconstitutional actions of the state government.” Those actions? Gun control laws, which are resoundingly unpopular in the rural county some 215 miles south of Chicago.

Since then, more than 400 other local jurisdictions in 20 states (including the city of Needles here in California) have adopted similar resolutions, some with more bite than others, but all in defiance of the law.

The simple fact is: Local governments cannot decide willy-nilly that if they don’t like a state law, they don’t have to enforce it. While states may have powers unique from the federal government’s, no such duality exists at the municipal level. Cities have only the powers granted to them by their states.

The 2nd Amendment sanctuary movement adopted its name as an obvious play on the immigration sanctuary movement. But those movements are related in name only, and it is possible to support the latter without supporting the former. Immigration codes, after all, are part of federal civil law, not criminal law, and local jurisdictions have the right to decide that they don’t want to use local tax dollars to enforce federal civil codes. They may not impede the federal government’s ability to enforce its immigration codes, but they don’t have to cooperate.
Don't know how up to date the following info is, but here's a link to their editorial board bios.

Pretty much what you'd expect.

#3  Second amendment sanctuaries *are* a sign of lack of faith in government. There is precedent for this:

WHEN in the Course of human Events, it becomes necessary for one People to dissolve the Political Bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the Powers of the Earth, the separate and equal Station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent Respect to the Opinions of Mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the Separation.

Iran's Unpardonable and Unpardoned Incompetence Exposes Same in America's Ruling Class
[AmGreatness] Our ruling class’s judgment that America’s killing of terror master Qassem Soleimani united Iran’s people behind its regime is characteristic of their incompetence. Instead, because the Islamic Republic’s armed forces incompetently shot down an airliner full of students as the mullahs were engaged in the pseudo-sophisticated pretense of retaliation against the United States, and because they incredibly denied having done so, growing domestic protests are placing the regime in jeopardy. As Iranians shout for the Islamic Republic’s end as never before, the state’s media are reporting more honestly than ever, and fewer partisans than ever are supporting the regime.

The lesson? Human beings can tolerate almost anything from rulers except demonstrations of incompetence.

Habits of obedience, the majesty of office, the lure of patronage, as well as repression, powerfully shield any ruling class. The Islamic Republic had promised its people that religious scholars would rule righteously. Instead, the mullahs delivered corruption, privation, and endless war.

Britain
The Windsors Blackmailed by their Daughter-in-Law
Excerpt:
[American Thinker] Meghan Markle's psychology is affected by well managed narcissistic rage. Narcissists seek power in relationships as a substitute for the terrifying experience of offering self-sacrificing love. Markle has two sources of power over the royal family and the millions of people who love them. She has the ordinary power of a disgruntled daughter-in-law to hurt her in-laws by controlling access to their brother, son, and grandchildren. She also has the extraordinary power to blackmail the royal family with the indictment of racism! It is widely reported that Markle has been acceding to the idea that she has been mistreated due to racism and that the royals fear being called racist in a "tell-all" interview.

#2  Very astute analysis of this little race-mongering grifter's game.

In our Shitshow Society, the last refuge -- and the first, and always the most lucrative refuge -- of a money-grubbing scoundrel is the cry of Racism!. This is worth quit ing at length:

They ambushed and distressed a frail 97-year-old man and his 93-year-old wife as a power tactic. They could have quietly created another home in Canada. They could have skipped the public self-congratulatory remarks about financial independence, as if hustling recently bestowed royal titles constitutes independence. Meghan did not need to complain that nobody cared about her, or that the duchess gig wasn't working for her. Above all, they did not have to promote the unjustified slander against queen and country that Meghan has been mistreated due to racism.

Meghan Markle enjoys absolute melanin immunity from criticism. Any challenge, however gentle, is racist! The duchess of York was publicly pulverized for her appearance for years on end, but she's white so it was OK. A critique of Meghan's nail polish is racism!

Racism! is a justification for the elite globalist kleptocracy to loot their nation state, because that is where the money is. The E.U. didn't fix up Frogmore "Cottage" for Meghan and Harry; the British people did. Such super-rich transnational lifestylers cling to a patina of virtue in their lack of loyalty to homeland, because the British, like all white people, are racist!

This hoax, the rebuff of royal duties, and alienation from his royal family are being baked into Archie's life narrative. Concerned about carbon footprints, Meghan announced that Archie will be an only child. (Enforcing this one-child-to-jet conviction means that she will have to buy another jet if she becomes pregnant again.)

The Secret Sauce of the Democrats' Impeachment Strategy
BLUF:
[American Thinker] What makes this entire impeachment risk worth their while is... the judiciary. It’s their secret sauce.

For decades, the Democrats have had an ideological lock on the judiciary. It has been their failsafe for policy when they are unable to pass desired legislation, promulgate burdensome regulations, or affect change with either a swipe of the President’s pen or by propaganda delivered through the media, the educational system, and Hollywood.
Please add "protect a woman's right to choose" to the above para.
Then along comes "Trump the Indefatigable" who has completely changed the complexion of the judiciary in the last three years by appointing 187 federal judges, including two Supreme Court justices. One in four circuit court judges is a Trump appointee and he has flipped the very liberal Second and Third Circuits, (NY, CT, VT and NJ, PA, DE, Virgin Islands, respectively) as well as the Eleventh Circuit (FL, AL, GA). He has strikingly leveled the playing field in the oft-reversed, very progressive 9th Circuit and is one appointment away from equalizing the number of Democrat and Republican-appointed judges in the 1st, 4th, and 10th Circuits.

This is an astounding accomplishment that concomitantly delivers a resounding death blow to the Democrats and (grin) has them quaking in their goose-stepping boots. They know, all too well, the power of the judiciary to influence legislation and drive the culture.
Emphasis added.

#6  Another extremely insightful analysis. What's at risk in this criminalization of politics, ultimately, is due process -- the essence of rule of law. We can (semi-) joke about Tge Shitshow, but the SS's stakes are deadly serious. The goal is not just to win elections with dark arts and lies, or to overturn elected presidents, but to reverse judicial appointments.

Federal judiciary, the executive branch, Congress... doesn't stop there. The Shitshow crew is literally seeking to upend our system of government at every single level.

Local government and law enforcement? The SS and its sugar daddy Soros have already spent over $100 million to ensure the election of literally pro-criminal DAs and mayors in Chicago, San Francisco, New York, Boston and elsewhere.

Sugar Daddy #2, Bloomberg, is sending even greater sums to do same wrt destroying 2nd Amendment rights via local and state puppet-officials who've received millions from him in campaign cash.

Federal law enforcement? Call for the literal destruction of the immigration law enforcement arm. Create ironically-named Orwellian "sanctuary cities" laws to protect criminals and other illegal aliens who have no right to even be here -- and shower the illegals' children with benefits including expensive scholarships to public universities.

Civil law and torts? The SS, its media mouthpieces and its Twitter-locusts have been on a tear here, hurling untold numbers of libels and slanders, every minute of every day, against thousands of victims across the country. Schoolchildren. College boys. Respected judges, doctors, professors, teachers. Fifth generation small business owner-families. Ordinary citizens, moms and dads, grannies:

Everyone is now at risk of the Shitshow's Wrath, delivered with a manic fury in defiance of all our norms of civilized behavior and due process.

Yeah, this is different. These people are dangerous and need to be halted before they do even more damage.

Obama, John Brennen and Spygate: It was the Russians, the Russians I tell YOU
[Communities Digital News] WASHINGTON ‐ U.S. Attorney John Durham’s original investigation is evolving into a criminal investigation. Durham’s focus is on the origins of the Federal government’s Spygate assault on GOP candidate and now President Trump. The New York Attorney is seeking key details on when the spying actually began and who ordered it. So far former CIA head John Brennan, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and former FBI Director James Comey are regarded as prime suspects.

However, many more heads of executive branch organizations were in on it, including Susan Rice, Samatha Powers, Loretta Lynch may also be named. As Attorney General Robert Barr noted, the deeper he digs into the origins, the more he finds. (’Strong’ paper trail has John Durham investigating the months before Mueller appointment)

And that is precisely why Barr appointed Durham to get to the bottom of this ongoing scandal began.

Spygate began before the 2016 election.

Perhaps encouraged by a media that provides scant details, the average American assumes it all started with the 2016 election. However, the deeper one digs into the origins of Spygate, the more we learn that the operation may have begun as early as 2010 following the inauguration of President, Barack Obama (2009-2017). The Patriot Act, the apparatus his administration employed to start spying on Americans, was already on the books. Congress hastily passed this emergency act 22 days after the massive 9/11 terrorist attack on America.

#1  Perhaps the comment from the above article from 'ItsJo' captures the bottom line. Think of the money you'll save NOT buying the 'cover story' book.

ItsJo • a day ago • edited
I would say that the Day Obama won the election he ALREADY started his spying on Americans, and Brennan was ONLY TOO HAPPY TO OBLIDGE. I think Obama got Brennan to do HIS BIDDING on the spy games, and HIRED Brennan who 'almost made himself available because he had Info ON OBAMA, that he would NOT want to be made public; thus, Brennan most likely blackmailed Obama, and got Hired. The two together, melded into ONE, as they both wanted to SPY, and certainly did when Trump was rumored to be running as POTUS. Couldn't have that, since "Obama wanted Hillary in the Whitehouse to "Cover UP ALL THEIR MUTUAL SCANDALS AND THE MONEY LAUNDERING THAT WAS GOING ON, AS SHE WOULD HAVE SWEPT IT ALL "UNDER THE WHITEHOUSE RUGS." Obama putting in the "FIX for Hillary backfired as people KNEW she was CORRUPT-

Let's Hope that A.G. Barr AND Durham REALLY do want to get to the bottom of ALL these criminals as they Start w/Obama, Hillary(who Comey kicked loose on O's orders) Clapper, Brennan, Lynch, Nuland, Rice, Holder, and ALL the rest of the Corrupt Obama Regime-including HIS Intel Agencies/Directors/Dirty Agents who did Obama's Bidding.

THEY ALL FELT THEY WERE ABOVE THE LAW, THAT IS ONLY FOR THE "LITTLE PEOPLE, NOT THE ELITIST'S AND POLITICOS"
Posted by: Besoeker || 01/22/2020 3:54 Comments || Top||

#2  If by Russians you mean Communists then the headline is totally correct as Obama and Brennen are both probably more hard-core Communists than Putin who simply wants Russian power.

‘Nobody likes him': Hillary Clinton rips Bernie Sanders and accuses him of supporting sexist attacks
A little red-on-red entertainment. Warm up the popcorn, leftists are going to complain about media bias. Maybe now they know how it feels.
[CNBC] * In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Hillary Clinton slammed Sen. Bernie Sanders, her main competitor in the 2016 Democratic primary, as a political hack who supports sexist attacks against his rivals.

* In a new Hulu docuseries premiering March , Clinton unloads on Sanders: "He was in Congress for years. He had one senator support him. Nobody likes him, nobody wants to work with him, he got nothing done."

Hillary Clinton is still not feeling the Bern.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in advance of a new Hulu docuseries profiling Clinton, the former Democratic presidential nominee slammed Sen. Bernie Sanders as a political hack who supports sexist attacks on his rivals.

In the Hulu series, Clinton unloads on the Vermont Independent, her main competitor in the 2016 Democratic primary: "He was in Congress for years. He had one senator support him. Nobody likes him, nobody wants to work with him, he got nothing done. He was a career politician. It’s all just baloney and I feel so bad that people got sucked into it."
And then her lips fell off. Hillary Clinton...criticizing someone for being a career politician. Wow.

Well, she's right he never had a job in his life before he was 40.

When asked by The Hollywood Reporter whether that assessment still holds, she said, "Yes, it does."

While Clinton said she is committed to unseating President Donald Trump, she declined to say whether she would endorse Sanders if he won the Democratic nomination.
Bahahaha...Sanders endorsed her after she subverted the voters and cheated him out of the election.
Clinton in the newest interview said a one-off comment about women might be permissible, but Sanders’ attitude toward women appears to be "a pattern."
This from the woman who literally attacked her husband's rape victims on TV and threatened them with investigations into their backgrounds.

And lord garth gives us this key bit from the Hollywood Reporter article in question:
Interviewer: In the doc, you're brutally honest on Sanders: "He was in Congress for years. He had one senator support him. Nobody likes him, nobody wants to work with him, he got nothing done. He was a career politician. It's all just baloney and I feel so bad that people got sucked into it." That assessment still hold?

HRC: Yes, it does.

Interviewer: If he gets the nomination, will you endorse and campaign for him?

HRC: I'm not going to go there yet...

Marines to call for end of iconic machine gun: M2 'Ma Deuce' will soon be replaced
[Washington Examiner] Special operations Marines are aiming to replace their long-serving and iconic M2 machine gun. After more than 80 years with the M2 "Ma Deuce" weapon, Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command, otherwise known as MARSOC, is seeking to lighten its machine gun load.

First produced in 1933, the M2 quickly earned a reputation for reliability and power and is the longest-serving weapon in the U.S. military arsenal. Its .50-caliber round is one of the largest in existence, allowing the user to hit targets at more than 8,000 yards. With a firing rate reaching nearly 600 rounds per minute, the M2 is formidable in a firefight.

"Witnessing the downrange effects of the .50-caliber bullet is an eye-opening experience," wrote Gordon Rottman, author of Browning .50-Caliber Machine Guns. "There are few who can say they were wounded by a .50-cal. Those hit seldom say much more."

But all the power of the "Ma Deuce" comes with a price. Weighing in at more than 80 pounds, the M2 and its large-caliber ammunition are a heavy cargo ‐ hence, the search for a lighter substitute.

Two potential replacements have come forward. The Sig Sauer MG 338 system has completed a safety certification, company president Robert Cohen said in a statement. Also in contention is General Dynamics’s Lightweight Medium Machine Gun. The replacement weapon could come on-line as early as 2021.

Created by the renowned firearms designer John Browning, the "Ma Deuce" has been used by more than 100 countries around the world, from Argentina to Zimbabwe. In the United States, it has been used by war fighters beyond those in MARSOC. The Army's Audie Murphy was awarded the Medal of Honor after single-handedly holding off a German squad with the help of an M2. Six decades later, Army Sgt. 1st Class Paul Ray Smith died while protecting a military aid station from dozens of Iraqi fighters, firing at them with an M2.

#1  But will the replacement be able to punch a hole in the engine of an oncoming suicide vehicle while it is still at a safe distance?

#2  Somehow I just don't think this is going to work out. That gun is heavy for a reason.

#3  M2 Browning Step By Step Headspace Timing
YouTube video of setting the MaDeuce headspace and timing in a mere 8 minutes. Try doing it before inserting the beast into the Tank Commanders coupola and not screwing up the barrel settings when trying to fit it to the link chute adaptor. Many a long morning on the range....

#5  I doubt they will fully get rid of Ma Deuce. Back in 93-96 they tried to replace the M-60 with the M-249 SAW (replace 7.62 with 5.56).

The 5.56 didn't have the ass to punch through windshields (it would ricochet off due to the high angle of deflection of the glass, just like modern tank armor), it didn't go through the concrete blocks that most of the houses in the ME are made out of.

The SAW still had its uses, but the US modernized the M-60 and kept the machine gun in inventory for the heavy weapon squads.

I see something similar happening with the 50 cal. The new weapon will replace most platoon level mechanized MGs but the M2 will stay on company and battalion security and heavy weapon groups.

#7  Like it was noted, the M2's main failing is headspace and timing fussiness. Fix that (the mass is needed I think) and we are good.
I have spent a long time on the M2's design.

New, Much Deadlier AR-16 Introduced
[Babylon Bee] U.S.‐Horror has spread throughout the nation as the unthinkable has happened: A new, even deadlier successor to the AR-15 -- the AR-16 -- is now for sale. The gun is a lot like the destructive AR-15 but is even scarier, as it is wearing a red "Make America Great Again" hat.

The AR-15 was the deadliest gun ever made, able to fire over 100 rounds a day. The "AR" in it stands for "AR-15 Rifle" and the 15 stands for "50% more than 10." The new AR-16 is obviously even more destructive, though. "Guns are scary enough," said being-scared-by-guns expert Noah Carlson, "but knowing a gun is a supporter of Donald Trump makes it even more terrifying. What’s it planning to do? Obviously nothing good."

Carlson warned that the gun was probably racist and sexist and that he wouldn’t be surprised if it was also rude to women. There is now a campaign to have the gun banned, signed onto by all the major Democratic presidential candidates. Many gun rights supporters have called this hypocrisy, though, as recently the LGBTQ-15 also went on sale -- an AR-15 with a rainbow scarf -- and the left praised that gun and called it "appropriate for children."

#2  Waiting for the AR-2020. Can fire more rounds than a dead Democrat has votes.
