#5  In there eyes, there is no question. The police officer is ipso fatso guilty of excessive force and, naturally, racism.

I am kind of curious how that elephant was able to run around in the first place...I guess for the reason mentioned above...afraid to do anything; so, in the end, it takes a police officer being shot. Thankfully it sounds like he'll be o.k. Chalk one up for the good guys.

Elderly Asian man dies following California robbery, as hate crimes swell
[NYPOST] An elderly Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, man has died from injuries suffered when he was punched in the face by a robbery suspect who prosecutors claim has a history of targeting older Asians.

Seventy-five-year-old Oakland resident Pak Ho suffered a traumatic brain injury and brain damage after being knocked to the sidewalk from a single punch in the Tuesday attack. He died Thursday, and his alleged attacker, Teaunte Bailey,
...who, since he committed what could be considered a racist violent act, must be a white supremacist...
26, now faces murder charges, police said.

"I’m at a loss for words," said Oakland Police Chief LeRonne Armstrong in a statement.

"Through our investigation, OPD has learned that the suspect has a history of victimizing elderly Asian people," the chief stated.

Bailey led police on a chase after cops identified the suspect’s getaway car with surveillance video, according to KPIX 5.

He was eventually apprehended and found with the items he had robbed from Ho, the station said. The career criminal’s court-ordered GPS ankle monitor also reportedly placed him at the scene of the crime.

In addition to the upgraded special circumstances murder charge, prosecutors charged Bailey with a February robbery and assault against a 72-year-old at a nursing home, KPIX reported.

Baily had been released to home supervision in connection with another crime, and has been convicted of multiple felonies, the report stated.

Last April, he was booked for robbery, conspiracy, possession of stolen property, parole violation, child endangerment and multiple counts of destroying evidence after leading the Socialist paradise of San Francisco
...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964...

Kazakhstan: Four killed as Russian AN-26 military transport plane crashes
[Aljazeera] Four people died and two more were injured after a military plane crashed while trying to land in Kazakhstan’s largest city Almaty, authorities said.

"According to preliminary data, four people died, and two injured were sent to the nearest hospital," the emergencies ministry said in a statement on Saturday.

Communication with the aircraft ceased at around 17:20 pm local time (1120 GMT) "during the landing approach at the Almaty airport," the airport said, adding that the aircraft crashed at the end of the runway.

The cause of the crash was not immediately clear.

The Russian news agency Interfax reported that the plane belonged to Kazakhstan’s border guard agency.

Nolte: Why the Meghan and Harry Show Backfired on Harry and Meghan
[BREITBART] The polling, most especially out of Britannia — or is it "England" or "Great Britannia"? — has made it pretty clear that Prince Harry
and Princess Meghan Markle
...unlikable American former starlet married to the formerly likable Prince Harry. Chock full of lefty political opinions, Markle's most important characteristic is that she is Black, even though she doesn't look it. Her mother, y'see, is half black and her father is white, which would make her a quarter Black. Her half brother described her (to her husband, before their marriage) as a jaded, shallow, conceited woman that will make a joke of you and the royal family heritage. Once married, she was too good for the Royals and she and Harry decamped to Beverly Hills, kind of like the Clampetts did, thus making a joke of Harry and the royal family heritage...
’s weekend appearance with Billionaire Race-Hoaxer Oprah Winfrey was a big mistake.
Meghan Markle lacks any semblance of the class of this young woman. It's a disgrace she even tried to barge into the family.

#1  A good measure of how far our culture has fallen.

From grace dignity and service to tawdry lies and self-absorption.

From military service (HRH insisted on serving in WWII as a teenaged Jr. Commander who took apart and repaired jeep, truck and ambulance engines) to prostituting of a her in-laws' wealth and family status.

From self-control and service before self to shameless, relentless self-aggrandizement.

For honor and dignity as befits a nation's leader to whiny, nasty, self-serving smears of unnamed in-laws and false accusations of "racism."

The Queen is to this rancid trollop as Vera Lynn is to Miley Cyrus.

Private 'UTLA FB' group warns teachers to not post vacation pics amid union's push for safe return to class

[Fox L.A.] A screenshot obtained by FOX 11 shows UTLA teachers being warned to not share spring break vacation photos to social media as the union continues to push for a safe return to in-person classes.

The screenshot appears to be from a private Facebook group titled, "UTLA FB GROUP- Members Only," and it has about 5,700 members. In one of the posts from the private group, teachers from the union are being asked to not share vacation photos or show that they're traveling outside of the country.

The post, obtained by FOX 11's Bill Melugin, reads:

"Friendly reminder: If you are planning any trips for Spring Break, please keep that off of Social Media. It is hard to argue that it is unsafe for in-person instruction, if parents and the public see vacation photos and international travel."

The warning between the group members come just days after UTLA voted to not send teachers back to in-person learning unless the union's shortlist of demands is met by the district.

UTLA President Cecily Myart-Cruz said last that more than 90% of the nearly 25,000 union teachers being polled voted "YES" on rejecting the return of in-person learning.

The ballot obtained by FOX 11 earlier in the month read like this:

A YES vote means you agree with UTLA’s leadership and will join your union brothers, sisters and siblings in organizing to resist a forced return to school sites until the three conditions for safety mentioned above have been met.

A NO vote means you are willing to physically return to your school or place of work under unsafe conditions even if the infection rates are still in the Purple Tier without vaccinations, and without all of the safety conditions in place such as ppe, physical distancing, ventilation or daily cleaning.

Tucker Carlson TARGETED by Butt-Hurt Pentagon ‐ Are we losing our military to woke politics?
[The Blaze] Senior military officials and The Pentagon have called out Fox News host Tucker Carlson for a statement he made about women in the military. When the military condemns a private citizen for free speech, how much longer will free speech exist?

On the "Glenn Beck Radio Program" Friday, Glenn and Bill O'Reilly discuss their views on what the future holds, the National Guard's extended stay in Washington, D.C., and the growing crisis at the border.

#5  It was woke before there was 'woke' as higher ups made clear they did not want to hear the truth about women in the ranks. There were and probably are still a lot of women who can perform the jobs, but there were far more that could not. That meant others had to pull more than their share which creates morale and integrity problems. Do you recall the theater commander who threaten to courts martial the next one who got pregnant and the uproar from Congresscritters. Cause you get pregnant, you get moved out of theater and someone else has to be sent to cover the job.

They should go back to an auxiliary corps not just for women but also males that could no longer do line duty. In one support unit I had the best troops were physically reclassified line soldiers who OJT'd. They enjoyed working mostly in doors and going home to see momma every night.

Marine Corps Account Says It ‘Messed Up’ in Response to Fox’s Carlson

[EpochTimes] A U.S. Marine Corps unit’s Twitter account says it “messed up” in its comments while responding to Fox News host Tucker Carlson as part of a debate over his commentary about U.S. servicewomen.

The official account for the II Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group used a pejorative on social media in responding to Carlson’s recent statements on how the military should be focused more on adversaries and less on culture issues.

The Marines shared a picture of a female soldier carrying a male one and tagged Carlson, writing that the photo showed “what it looks like in today’s armed forces.”

“Get right before you get left, boomer,” the account said, using a word widely considered a pejorative term.

After intense pushback for using an official military account to slam a private citizen, the Marines unit said: “We are human and we messed up. What was intended as a tweet in support of our female Marines and sisters serving in uniform was clearly not aligned with our standard practices or an appropriate representation of the Marine Corps. We will do better and serve the people.”

“We can do better and we will collectively take a knee, review our procedures and get back in the fight. Our focus is to train, fight and win and we have a hard time doing that without your support,” the Marines’ account added in another tweet.

The Department of Defense inspector general didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

The situation was the latest development in an ongoing clash between Carlson and the military, with some of the force’s highest officials lambasting the Fox News host for his views.

Bloomberg: White-Collar Visa Workers Take 2/3 of New Tech Jobs Each Year
[Breitbart] Two-thirds of entry-level tech jobs go to compliant foreign guest-workers, not to the young American professionals who may create a new wave of establishment-shaking companies, according to a report from Bloomberg.

In 2018, "the U.S. had between 96,000 and 143,000 openings in IT occupations that typically went to candidates with a bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or engineering," said the March 10 report, headlined "STEM Graduates Deserve a Better Path to Good Jobs."

But the government each year provides "Occupational Practical Training" (OPT) work permits to hundreds of thousands of foreigners who have paid tuition to American universities. It also invites roughly 85,000 foreign graduates on H-1B work visas, the report says.

"So, OPT participants accounted for anywhere from one-third to one-half of new hires. If you add H-1B candidates, up to two-thirds of openings went to guest workers," said the report, which relies heavily on Hal Salzman, an expert on high-tech employment at Rutgers University.

Few of the OPT workers are high-skilled, Bloomberg acknowledged: "More than 70% of nonresident computer science master’s degrees awarded in 2018 came from unranked programs, or those ranked 50 and lower by U.S. News and World Report. Just 17% came from schools ranked in the top 25. [universities]"

Breitbart News has extensively reported on the fraud-ridden OPT program — and its sister program, the Curricular Practical Training program — which provides Fortune 500 companies with roughly 400,000 cheap foreign workers each year.

The OPTs — and the many similar H-1B, L-12, J-1, and TN visa workers — fill many starter-jobs and mid-career white-collar jobs in a wide variety of industry sectors, including tech, healthcare, academia, accounting, and design.

#4  Most of these jobs require only minimal skill. These are the Information Revolution's factory worker-equivalents.

That said, the corporations hiring these worker bees should be forced to give the jobs to American graduates and train them as needed to backfill any skill deficits.

Maybe as a condition of receiving a federal tax holiday for the trillions in corporate profits that have been stashed overseas the last 2-3 decades.

#6  That said, the corporations hiring these worker bees should be forced to give the jobs to American graduates and train them

Why? If the schools won't train them and they're too delicate to train themselves, a company, in business to make money for it's owners and stockholders, should go with the hire that doesn't need training.

If, OTOH, the companies still have to train the imports in how to do the job, then it's a different story.

#7  Smart well-managed companies like GE, P&G, and other blue chips used to do plenty of training.

Learn the GE approach, or "the HP Way," or how build a brand as P&G has done brilliantly 100x over.

The demise of in-house training coincides with the decline of the Fortune 500 and America's economic supremacy.

Now that American education is cratering thanks to COVID lockdowns, Zoom-idiocy and Raging Wokeness, US corporations will likely have no choice but to train the next generation of leaders and managers.

#9  I'm speaking about the days when GE trained their people rather than hiring H1Bs, ie up till about 2000.

In those last two decades (the Welch era), GE's
- revenues grew five-fold from $25 billion to $130 billion
- income grew ten-fold, from $1.5 billion to $15 billion
- market cap increased 30-fold i.e. more than $400 billion

Outsourcing and offshoring, and more generally, the refusal to invest in training of American workers and managers, are not the only causes of American industrial decline, but they're definitely part of the problem.

French Woman says she found true love, had children with rollercoaster
[NYP] Gaëlle Engel claims she has long been sexually attracted to inanimate objects — but she says she didn’t know true passion until she fell for a German rollercoaster.

"You could say that I’m sexually drawn to rollercoasters but since I met the Sky Scream rollercoaster, I understood what love was," the France-born Engel told Jam Press of her attraction to the attraction at Germany’s Holiday Park.

"I spend every moment dreaming of a carnal and fusional relationship with it."
"Sure, we've had our ups and downs"
The 43-year-old says she has been sexually attracted to objects since she was 12. The painter and poet has had three serious romantic human relationships, but found them all to be traumatic.

"I will not philosophize on these relationships that ruined my life but it was only suffering, physical and moral," she said. "The men I dated had a lot of issues with alcohol and it was a very hard time for me."

Kennedy: '...like Thinking ‘the Stripper Really Likes You'
[Breitbart] Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) said Friday on Fox News Channel’s "Fox & Friends" that President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion COVID-19 stimulus bill was like thinking "the stripper really likes you."
Wait...she doesn't?
Kennedy said, "President Biden says it’s a coronavirus bill, and my response is, ’Right, you know, and the stripper really likes you. I said the other day that calling this a coronavirus bill is like calling Harvey Weinstein a feminist. It’s just chock-full of spending porn. There are parts of it I like. I like trying to help people who are unemployed, and I like trying to help our small business people, especially our restaurants."

Democrats seek to repeal authorizations of force for Iraq, Afghanistan to 'end forever wars'
[Just The News] A group of Democratic committee chairs want Congress to repeal the authorizations for use of military force (AUMF) passed in 2001 for the War in Afghanistan after the September 11, 2001 attacks and in 2002 for the War in Iraq.

The lawmakers argue that an AUMF takes war powers away from Congress. Former President Trump often said he wanted to end forever wars. No new wars began during his tenure, but Congress did not formally repeal the 2001 and 2002 AUMFs while he was in office.

The Democratic House members said President Biden supports war powers reform so Congress should repeal the AMUFs.

"It's time that we end these forever wars," said California Democratic Rep. Barbara Lee,
D-Commie Racialist
chair of the Appropriations Subcommittee on State and Foreign Operations, during a news conference on Friday. "We've made some standard progress on this issue. My language to repeal the 2002 AUMF has passed twice last Congress. We've included this, the repeal of the 2001 AUMF in the defense appropriations bill.

"So we really just need the political will to move forward. Revisiting the AUMFs that we passed so long ago is really a step that we need to take to end ongoing wars, bring our troops home and reallocate our resources to address the very real and immediate threats that we face. We think that we will have the House and the Senate, with Senator Kaine, and the president and all of us here with you today and more, fighting this year to make sure that we repeal these two authorizations."

New York Democratic Rep. Gregory Meeks, chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, zeroed in on the 2002 AUMF and said he intends to work on repeal soon.

"Given that the 2002 AUMF is not needed for any ongoing military operations, there is no reason at all to leave it in place," Meeks said at the event. "And as chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, I intend to take up legislation that was written and passed previously by Barbara Lee. I intend to mark up legislation in the Foreign Affairs Committee in the coming weeks to repeal it."

Novavax shot 96% effective against COVID-19 in trial
[NYPost] The COVID-19 vaccine from Novavax was found to be 96 percent effective against the original strain of the coronavirus in new a UK trial, the company announced Thursday.

The shot from the Maryland-based company was also 86 percent effective against the more contagious variant first discovered in the UK and now spreading across the US and in New York City.

In a smaller South Africa trial, the Novavax vaccine was only around 55 percent effective in preventing disease when tested against volunteers primarily exposed to the new variant first identified there.

But in both the UK and South Africa trials, the shot was 100 percent effective in preventing serious illness and death.
The Novavax Covid-19 vaccine requires 2 doses but is stable at refrigerator temperature.

Maybe someone might do a "GA. Open Records" request and see how many 100's of calls they have ran and the trips to the ER & hospitalizations ?

#4  This vaccine targets the spike protein that the virus uses to enter a cell. This is well understood technology - the same vaccine approach used by the Heb B and HPV vaccines. If I had to be vaccinated (and since I have a positive antibody test, I have no reason to think I need one) this would be the one I would choose. The mRNA vaccines (Pfizer & AstraZeneca) represent potentially transformational technology, but are still experimental. No one has any idea what the 5 year safety profile looks like, or even the 1 year profile for that matter.

4 killed as Myanmar forces continue crackdown on protesters
They tried democracy for a couple of years, but clearly it didn’t take. And in the meantime the Rohingya had to be expelled for getting rambunctious.
[AlAhram] Three deaths were reported in Mandalay, the country's second-biggest city, and one in Pyay, a town in south-central Myanmar

Security forces in Myanmar on Saturday again met protests against last month's military takeover with lethal force, killing at least four people by shooting live ammunition at demonstrators.

Three deaths were reported in Mandalay, the country's second-biggest city, and one in Pyay, a town in south-central Myanmar. There were multiple reports on social media of the deaths, along with photos of dead and maimed people in both locations.

Tensions grow between US and its allies over vaccine stockpiling
Making friends and influencing people in the inimitable Joe Biden way.
[IsraelTimes] Countries prod Biden administration to release supply of AstraZeneca vaccines, noting America has enough doses to immunize its entire population by end of July.

President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. S Joe's wife and daughter weren't killed by a drunk driver. He didn't graduate with three or even two degrees, wasn't in the top half of his law class, and his daddy didn't come home from a hard day's work in the mines and play football with the guys. The NAACP hasn't endorsed him every time he's run....
’s administration is stockpiling tens of millions of doses of a COVID-19 vaccine whose authorization in the US remains uncertain, frustrating US allies who say those doses should be used now to save lives overseas.

Ivory Coast Zaha becomes first Premier League player not to take the knee
[AlAhram] Ivory Coast international Zaha
...he plays for the Ivory Coast national team for the Africa Cup after not placing on the English team, but that is more opportunism and sentiment than a real connection — he moved with his family to England at the age of four, and his soccer career has been in England...
stood tall while the rest of his Palace team-mates and their opponents kneeled just before kick-off at Selhurst Park.
...that’s in Croydon, a suburb of London.
Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha became the first Premier League player not to take a knee in solidarity with the anti-racism movement before Saturday's match against West Bromwich Albion.

The 28-year-old revealed last month when speaking at the Financial Times' Business of Football summit he would no longer perform a gesture which has been followed by Premier League players, officials and staff since June.

"My decision to stand at kick-off has been public knowledge for a couple of weeks now," Zaha said in a statement released on Saturday.

"There is no right or wrong decision, but for me personally I feel kneeling has just become a part of the pre-match routine and at the moment it doesn't matter whether we kneel or stand, some of us still continue to receive abuse.

"I know there is a lot of work being done behind the scenes at the Premier League and other authorities to make change, and I fully respect that, and everyone involved. I also fully respect my team-mates and players at other clubs who continue to take the knee.

"As a society, I feel we should be encouraging better education in schools, and social media companies should be taking stronger action against people who abuse others online - not just footballers.

"I now just want to focus on football and enjoy being back playing on the pitch. I will continue to stand tall."
Good for him.
Zaha joins Championship clubs Millwall, Derby, Bournemouth and Brentford in no longer taking part in kneeling before matches.
Good for them, too.
The gesture was brought in as a way to promote the anti-racism message after the death in police custody of George Floyd in the United States last May sparked a rise in Black Lives Matter protests.
