#4  Maybe it is just me, but I'd less concerned with who f**ked up which part of this mess and more about what they could have done to get a better outcome and what they would do differently next time. You know, the whole After Action/Lessons Learned thing. At the end, you'd have a 3-ring binder with all those important little details like where to get master keys, who to call, and who is running the show - stuff you don't want to try and figure out on the fly.

Also, a bunch of people should be reconsidering their career choices and looking for something more suitable to their abilities and temperament.

#4  "P80's are often called ghost guns, as they can be constructed at home and oftentimes do not have serial numbers, making them hard to trace."

So the reporter does not know if it is a ghost gun but went with the term anyway. Since the cops are not following up the investigation I think it is safe to assume the gun was entirely legal and the term ghost gun was used to shock the British readers.

#8  Biden "Deeply Disappointed" In SCOTUS Ruling On Open Carry

The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday morning struck down a New York state gun law that made it difficult to obtain a handgun carry permit outside the home in public for self-defense.

In an opinion penned by Justice Clarence Thomas, the court ruled 6-3 to strike down the New York law.

"Because the State of New York issues public-carry licenses only when an applicant demonstrates a special need for self-defense, we conclude that the State's licensing regime violates the Constitution," Thomas wrote for the court's 6-3 majority.

Walmart expands health services to address racial inequality, insurance now covers your doula
NEW YORK (AP) — Walmart is expanding health care coverage for employees who want to enlist the services of a doula, a person trained to assist women during pregnancies, to address racial inequities in maternal care.

After first offering doulas to employees in Georgia last year, the nation’s largest retailer said Wednesday that it will expand the same benefit to its employees in Louisiana, Indiana and Illinois.

Black women are three times more likely to die from a pregnancy-related cause than white women, largely due to differences in the quality of health care, underlying chronic conditions and structural racism, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Employing a doula as a part of a birthing team decreases C-sections by 50%, shortens the time of labor by 25% and decreases the need for other medical interventions by more than 50%, according to the National Black Doulas Association.

Walmart said it chose to extend coverage to Louisiana, Indiana and Illinois because of the potential for instant impact for employees who live in those three states. The company said that in Louisiana, the mortality rate is five times higher for Black mothers than it is for white mothers. Walmart said that in Indiana, 33 counties don’t have OB-GYN services.

Bulldozer crushes 100 seized vehicles in New York
[BBC] For the track lovers
Over 100 dirt bikes and ATVs (all-terrain vehicles) were lined up and crushed by a bulldozer, in New York City.

They were just some of the 2,000 illegal vehicles that seized this year by the New York Police Department, under a promise from Mayor Eric Adams to eradicate the "nuisance" from city.

Dirt bikes and ATVs are designed for unpaved roads and it is illegal to ride them on the city's streets.
At least the NYCPD are allowed to enforce some of the laws on the city’s books...

, said in a message to journalists.

The quake shook parts of eastern Afghanistan and parts of Pakistain during the early hours of Wednesday, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The quake struck about 44 km (27 miles) from the city of Khost in southeastern Afghanistan and was at a depth of 51km (31 miles), according to the USGS.

Is Sidney Powell Secretly Funding the Oath Keepers' Lawyers? The Feds Want to Know.
[Daily Beast] Federal prosecutors in the nation’s capital are trying to drag several lawyers representing indicted Oath Keepers before a judge to make them explain how exactly they’re getting paid, citing a concern that conspiracy theorist Sidney Powell is actually covering the legal tab.
And...so? Is that illegal? Is it even unseemly? They should be told to pound sand
On Wednesday, the Department of Justice asked a federal judge to intervene to ensure that members of the armed, anti-government paramilitary group have "competent and conflict-free" attorneys.

They cited recent reports in Mother Jones and BuzzFeed News that laid out how Powell’s political group, Defending the Republic, has quietly funded several defense lawyers.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
This American Snuck Out of His Dad's House‐and Got Bombed by Putin
[Daily Beast] POLTAVA, Ukraine—It was a one-in-a-million hit, said 23-year-old Skyler James Gregg from his hospital bed in Poltava, eastern Ukraine. He remembers how everything suddenly turned black when a Russian drone dropped an explosive at his post in the Kharkiv region on June 1. One French volunteer soldier died immediately in the blast, and flying shrapnel injured another foreign fighter.

Skyler was sent to the ground as fragments penetrated his body. One hit his right arm, tearing off a chunk of it. "It was all as black and white suddenly. It ran through my head that I might die. For some reason, it felt peaceful," Skyler told The Daily Beast from his hospital bed.

"I felt heat in my arm. Dogs around were just screaming. It rang in my ears, and I ran to an outdoor bathroom and shut the door. I was trying to hold my arm together."

After taking the hit, Skyler trudged outside with his shirt tied around his lower arm to hold it in place. He then locked eyes with one of his friends who had fallen down a set of stairs and was in a panic.

"He was losing a lot of blood. I took off his shirt to put pressure on his wounds. He was bleeding in so many places. I did not know what to do," said Skyler. "I was about to faint myself. I took a plastic bag and put it on his bleeding chest. He had trouble breathing."

After using a radio to call for help, Skyler and several other soldiers were taken to a field hospital. Skyler’s friend survived.

Ukrainian Perspective: Invasion of Ukraine: June 22nd, 2022
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Korrespondent] 23:37 British military intelligence believes that the pace of Russia's offensive in Ukraine will slow down in the next few months, Johnson said in an interview with the Sueddeutsche Zeitung: "Our military intelligence believes that in the next few months Russia may come to a point where there will no longer be any moving forward because it has exhausted its resources. Then we must help the Ukrainians to change the dynamics. <...> To the extent that the Ukrainians are able to launch a counter-offensive, it should be supported. With the weapons they demand from us."

Asked what a Ukrainian victory or Putin's defeat would look like, Johnson pointed out that at the very least, the pre-February 24 status quo should be restored and Russian troops should be forced out of the occupied territories.

23:33 During the summit in Madrid at the end of June, NATO allies will decide to provide Ukraine with immediate assistance to repel Russian aggression and will consider a long-term program for rearmament of the Armed Forces of Ukraine according to NATO standards, Stoltenberg said.

23:31 Tankers that transport Russian oil are increasingly turning off their location in the Atlantic Ocean - a similar tactic is used to buy sanctioned oil from Iran and Venezuela, writes Bloomberg. Over the past ten days, at least three tankers have disappeared from AIS as they approached the Azores, a tiny group of islands 1,500 kilometers from mainland Portugal, according to the publication.

They probably transferred their parties to other ships. Such "transfers" of cargo did not occur before Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, especially with the location turned off, analysts say.

22:55 In Ukraine, a division of river boats has been formed on the Dnieper River and its tributaries, Fleet Commander Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa told the Army Inform portal: "On the initiative and with the support of the command of the Ground Forces, we jointly formed a division of river boats in the north of the Dnieper - the main logistical artery Ukraine that we cannot afford to lose."

The Russian Federation may be preparing for an attempt to transfer a large number of reserve units to the Donbass.

Analysts note that although the Russian Federation has not disclosed its losses since March 25, the "DNR" reports more than 2,000 dead military personnel and about 9,000 wounded. The losses of the "DPR" army, according to British intelligence, are equivalent to about 55% of its original strength, which underlines the extreme attrition of Russian and pro-Russian forces in the Donbass. That being said, the Russians will likely need further protracted fighting with Ukrainian forces, similar to the blockade battles in Mariupol and Severodonetsk, to capture Lysichansk.

00:56 Gazprom's reduction of gas supplies to Europe is an "economic attack" on the part of Moscow, said German Economy Minister Robert Habek. According to him, such an "attack" is intended to provoke an increase in gas prices by reducing its volume and thereby "cause a debate in Europe and Germany about the grave situation and anxiety" in connection with the shortage of raw materials. This, in turn, paralyzes the debate as to whether support for freedom is the right thing to do.

Russia Trolls the US by Changing the Moscow Embassy Address
[MoscowTimes] Authorities in Moscow said on Wednesday that they have changed the official address of the U.S. Embassy building in the Russian capital to one named after pro-Kremlin separatists in Ukraine.

"The United States Embassy in Russia has a new official address," Moscow City hall said in a statement, saying it had named a previously unnamed open area in front of the embassy's main entrance.

It said the embassy is now located at 1 Donetsk People's Republic Square, referring to a breakaway region in eastern Ukraine that Moscow recognized as independent shortly before sending troops there.

The embassy's previous address was 8 Bolshoi Devyatinsky Lane.

The statement added that the change was made after Moscow councilors proposed honoring the "defenders of Donbas" — a majority Russian-speaking region in Ukraine that Russia says it is liberating as part of its military campaign — on the map of Moscow.

The new address was chosen in a public vote in which nearly 280,000 people participated, the city hall said.

In February 2018, a street outside the Russian Embassy in Washington was named after Boris Nemtsov, an opposition politician who was shot dead outside the Kremlin in 2015.

China using mandatory ‘health tracker’ app to lock people down
[HOT AIR] In China, as part of the alleged "zero COVID" control system, everyone is required to have a government-issued Q-code app on their phones that serves as a "health tracker." If you have a negative COVID test and have not been "tracked" to an area where infections are being reported, your Q-code is green and you are (usually) free to proceed. This is much the same as the New York "Empire Pass" system that was in use during the lockdowns. But if you either test positive or are "tracked" in the vicinity of others who have tested positive, the code turns red and you are forbidden from most public spaces, public transportation, and social activities.

That’s scary enough to begin with when observed from a western perspective. But many residents of rural portions of China recently learned the hard way that the Chinese Communist Party is using the tracker for a lot more than health reasons. There was recently a banking scandal involving several smaller, rural banks, where a banking executive was accused of stealing large sums of money from the banks’ coffers and going on the run. When residents learned of this, many attempted to travel to towns where the banks had physical branches to withdraw their money while they could. But upon arriving, most of them found that their health tracker codes had mysteriously turned red despite having negative COVID tests and the towns not being listed as infection hotspots. They were locked out of the banks, their hotels, and other resources.

Government Corruption
USCP Used Weapons on the Peaceful Crowd, Causing Choas
[ET - paywall removed] long article with a focus on USCP embedded in the crowd. Further down, however, is this -
More extensive video footage, analyzed by Ray Dietrich of Red Voice Media, shows "the beginning of violence on January 6."

"The video shows the moment either stun grenades or tear gas canisters were deployed into the crowd of protestors," Dietrich says as the video plays out. "The question I have, after a 20-year career in law enforcement, is why were these munitions deployed? I have picked this video apart and many more, and cannot see why the USCP used this force against the crowd. There is no fighting and no violence, so why did they target these people with less-lethal weapons?"

"What happened next?" Dietrich asks rhetorically. "Chaos. Violence. The crowd fought back. The Capitol was breached."

As the stunned crowd scurries in the attack, police can be seen spraying people in the face with pepper spray. In another segment, three police officers are beating a protester who is being held on the ground. In a measure that further escalates the tension, police begin deploying tear gas into the already frantic crowd. In a course of 20 minutes, a once peaceful scene descends into total chaos.
So the Capitol Police started the riot by stampeding the crowd. Certainly, the J6 investigation will reveal this!

  • U.S. Senate candidate Eric Greitens, 48, said his controversial 'RINO hunting' ad was 'clearly a metaphor' as he shrugged off the backlash

  • The campaign ad showed the Missouri Republican armed with a military squad breaking into a home and firing shot after shot

  • They were hunting for RINOs, Republicans In Name Only, as Greitens urged GOP voters to back Donald Trump's MAGA candidates

  • The video faced quick backlash from political opponents as it was deleted from Facebook and flagged by Twitter over the violations of 'abusive behavior'

  • Greitens is the frontrunner of 20 vying for the GOP nomination on August 2 upon the upcoming retirement of GOP Sen. Roy Blunt
Greitens, who previously resigned in disgrace as the governor of Missouri amid sexual assault and blackmail allegations, posted a 38-second campaign clip to Twitter.

'I'm Eric Greitens, Navy Seal and today we're going RINO hunting,' he said. 'A RINO feeds on corruption and is marked by the stripes of cowardice.'

'We are sick and tired of the Republicans in Name Only surrendering to Joe Biden & the radical Left. Order your RINO Hunting Permit today!' he captioned the new clip.

'Join the MAGA crew and get a RINO hunting permit,' Greitens says. 'There's no bagging limit, no tagging limit and it doesn't expire 'til we save our country.' Trump has not endorsed Greitens or waded into the Missouri race at all so far.

#1  Hasn't he learned: you are not allowed to use metaphors anymore. But then again, he's obviously a myogenic racist, so I suppose it doesn't matter.

#2  He got the intended x 10 multiplier on his ad spend.

#3  said his controversial 'RINO hunting' ad was 'clearly a metaphor'

I remember Sarah Palin saying something like that but somehow it was NOT OK when she said it.

#3  Put in a call to Joe "Corn Pop" Biden and get a Sri Lankan priority flight out of El Paso. Crossing over from Juarez is easy. It's your best bet as I see it.
