Death toll up to 160 in Burkino Faso as villagers bury their dead
[IsraelTimes] Suspected jihadists massacred at least 160 civilians, including around 20 children, in a village in Burkina Faso
...The country in west Africa that they put where Upper Volta used to be. Its capital is Oogadooga, or something like that. Its president is currently Blaise Compaoré, who took office in 1987 and will leave office feet first, one way or the other...
’s volatile north, the deadliest attack since Islamist violence erupted like lava from a volcano in the West African country in 2015, local officials said Sunday.

The slaughter in the early hours of Saturday followed the slaying of 14 people late Friday in the village of Tadaryat in the same region where jihadists linked to al-Qaeda and Islamic State

Africa Subsaharan
Boko Haram leader is dead, rival jihadists confirm
[IsraelTimes] Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
’s leader Abubakar Shekau
...the lunatic leader of Boko Haram who has been reported dead at least eleven times, pledged his body and soul to ISIS, told his fighters to hang it up once or twice, and been fired by the Caliph and refused to step down. Last seen in 2017, sneaking into Cameroon while wearing a burka...
killed himself in a fight against rival jihadist fighters from the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
West Africa Province (ISWAP) according to audio AFP obtained from the group Sunday, two weeks after reports emerged that he had died.

"Shekau preferred to be humiliated in the hereafter to getting humiliated on Earth. He killed himself instantly by detonating an explosive," a voice speaking in the Kanuri language resembling that of ISWAP leader Abu Musab al-Barnawi said.

The audio was given to AFP by the same source who sent previous messages from the group.

Boko Haram has not yet officially commented on the death of their leader, who waged a more than decade-long insurgency in northeast Nigeria
... a particularly crimson stretch of Islam's bloody border...
, while the Nigerian army said it was investigating the claim.

ISWAP described in the audio how it sent out fighters to Boko Haram’s enclave in the Sambisa forest, who found Shekau sitting inside his house and engaged him in a firefight.

"From there he retreated and escaped, ran and roamed the bushes for five days. However,
some men learn by reading. A few learn by observation. The rest have to pee on the electric fence for themselves...
the fighters kept searching and hunting for him before they were able to locate him," the voice said.

After finding him in the bush, ISWAP fighters urged him and his followers to repent, the voice added, but Shekau refused and killed himself.

"We are so happy," the voice said, adding that Shekau was "someone who committed unimaginable terrorism and atrocities."

Forced Wedlock in Houthi-run Territories Raises Humanitarian Concerns
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] Iran's Houthi sock puppets
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him...
coup militias in Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
are forcing civilian families to hand over their children in compulsory marriages involving its commanders, activists told Asharq al-Awsat, confirming that around 105 cases of forcible wedlock were documented over the last two years.

Yemeni girls living in insurgency-held areas in governorates of Ibb, Hajjah, Dhmar, Al Mahwit, Raymah, Hodeidah, and the capital, Sanaa, are pressured into marrying Houthi officers under the threat of losing their relatives.

Hundreds of families have been affected by the brutish Houthi wedlock policy, especially in Ibb and Hajjah, women rights activists reported.

Speaking under the conditions of anonymity for safety reasons, activists documented 31 accounts of forced marriages in Ibb, 26 in Hajjah, 14 in Raymah governorate, 12 in Hodeidah, 9 in Dhamar, 5 in Al Mahwit, and 3 in Sanaa’s countryside.

Objectors also alleged that hundreds of other cases have gone undocumented as parents were threatened at gunpoint to keep quiet against the inhumane practice.

Reported cases were based on testimonies collected from territories under the Iran-backed guerrillas’ grip.

"Since it waged a nationwide coup and captured Sanaa and other cities, the Houthi insurgency failed in imposing alien rituals, customs and traditions and beliefs on Yemenis," human rights
...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless...
activist S.B. told Asharq al-Awsat.

This failure, according to S.B., compelled Houthis to regress to other methods to please its officers, like offering them Yemeni girls through "forced marriages."

"There are stories in general that tell the extent of the suffering endured by the fathers of many girls who were forced to marry Houthi supervisors," they said, revealing that the ages of the girls wedded by force varied between 13 and 22 years old.

In mid-2016, Houthis kidnapped a girl in the Radmah district, nestled east of Ibb, and forced another girl to marry a prominent Houthi leader in the southern governorate.

Fifth Column
Hardesty screws small concrete firm out of contract renewal
[PAMPLINMEDIA] A local sidewalk repair firm says its contract with the city of Portland will not be renewed after the company came under fire for displaying a Blue Lives Matter flag while on the job.

But the city asserts it hasn't torn up the deal just yet — saying no decision has been made.

Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty
...remarkably ugly (physically and spiritually) Dem politician who is currently a Portland City Commissioner since January 2019. Hardesty is the first African American woman to serve on Portland's city council and is a driver in police defunding. She still called 911 over a dispute with a Lyft driver over leaving the window open. She is an open advocate for BLM and Antifa...
had described the pro-police emblem on Oregon Concrete Solutions trucks as a symbol of white supremacy
,...the pernicious doctrine that laws were intended to be obeyed, that society works better when people don't pour shreiking from their places of worship every Friday for a weekend of rioting over insults real or imagined; and that cannibalism, beastiality, incest, murder, theft, rape, and similar activities are bad. A Dead White European (which invalidates his opinion) philosopher once opined that societies thrive when a person's word can be relied upon, and that a society which puts individual happiness first will invariably fail. Strangely enough, other successful societies, such as China, Japan, Korea, and those kinds of places could also be lumped with white supremacist societies, since they push the same values...
— while owner-operator Chris Collins strongly denies the charge, saying his own family is of mixed race.

"I, too, would be outraged if my daughter of African American descent was attacked for her race or ethnicity," Collins said. "I am not a white supremacist and I don't condone white supremacy or their evil agenda."

Collins said the accusations came as he and his wife marked their anniversary at the end of "an incomprehensible year of pain and tragedy," as both are still mourning their 24-year-old daughter, Akaisha Blair Karen Collins, who died from a terminal illness nine months ago.

And while Hardesty said in a May 27 statement that the Portland Bureau of Transportation reached out regarding removal of the flags while working on the city's dime, Collins said he was never ordered to delete the decals, but is now willing to do so.

The Tualatin-based firm inked a $1 million contract with the city of Portland in September 2020, according to records released to Pamplin Media Group. The deal expires Aug. 31.

Other business records show the contractor collected $3 million from the city for a separate deal that was set to end June 30, though it has been extended six times prior.

"There has been no denial of a contract extension or any decisions made regarding a contract that naturally expires later this summer," said Matt McNally, a spokeswoman for Hardesty.

Another $3 million contract appears to expire July 31, 2022. The company has six other employees, according to Collins, and receives the majority of its revenue from the city.

"I've been turning work down to bring 110% dedication to the city of Portland," he said.

An email exchange obtained by Pamplin Media shows Collins was first alerted to citizen complaints regarding the flag on Jan. 25, though the city didn't explicitly tell him to remove it.

Erdogan claims Turkey killed senior PKK official in Makhmour attack
[Rudaw] Ottoman Turkish president His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than there are in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really most important...

...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
killed a bigwig of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in an attack near Makhmour refugee camp which left three people dead on Saturday.

Selman Bozkir, who Erdogan claims was a senior PKK official and head of the camp, was "neutralised" by intelligence forces, the president tweeted on Sunday afternoon.

Three people died in an Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
near the camp, home to more than 12,000 Kurdish refugees who fled state persecution in Turkey, which was confirmed by a Peshmerga commander in the area. The camp is located in territory disputed between Erbil and Baghdad, and is believed by Turkey to have close ties with the PKK, which is designated a terrorist organization by Ankara.

The PKK, which fights for greater rights for Kurds in Turkey, has its headquarters in the Kurdistan Region’s Qandil mountains.

On Wednesday, Erdogan indicated that Makhmour — which he described as an "incubation nest" for the PKK — would soon be targeted. He used similar language on Sunday, saying Turkey will not allow the PKK to use the camp as an "incubation centre for terrorism."

The attack comes amid ongoing Ottoman Turkish operations in Duhok province, said to be targeting the PKK. Numerous civilians have been injured in recent airstrikes, and villages emptied amid fear of further Ottoman Turkish bombings.
An Iraqi security official said PKK officials at the camp had prevented police from entering the camp after the air strike, and declined to share details of the casualties.

The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
has taken its decades-old conflict with Kurdish Death Eaters deep into northern Iraq, establishing military bases and deploying armed military drones against the fighters in their mountain strongholds.

Most of the operations have focused on territory up to 30 km (20 miles) from the border. But Makhmour lies further inside Iraq, and Saturday's strike on the camp prompted dozens in Iraq's Kurdish province of Sulaimaniya to march in protest.

Linda Thomas-Greenfield visited Ankara last week and said she told officials that "any attack targeting civilians at Makhmour refugee camp would be a violation of international and humanitarian law".

The camp was established in the 1990s when thousands of Kurds from Turkey crossed the border in a movement Ankara says was deliberately provoked by the PKK, which is designated a terrorist organization by the United States and European Union

Iran Proxies in Iraq Threaten US with Sophisticated Weapons
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] The US security authorities suspect that the Iranian-backed Iraqi militias are involved in launching several drone attacks against sensitive targets inside Iraq, in an attempt to evade US defenses, according to a report by the New York Times

...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...

Washington is grappling with a rapidly evolving threat from Iranian proxies in Iraq after militia forces specialized in operating more sophisticated weaponry, including armed drones.

Hamas Chief Denies Israel Destroyed Tunnel Network, Says Next War Will ‘Reshape' Mideast
[Breitbart] Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar over the weekend said his terror group had only shown half its strength during the recent 11-day war with Israel, but still claimed to turn Tel Aviv "into a rag."
Talking big now, but you were on your knees like Kamala Harris before the Hudna.
Sinwar also denied the Israeli military’s claim a significant chunk of the Hamas’ enormous subterranean tunnel network was destroyed.

"We showed only half our strength. We managed to launch 130 rockets on Tel Aviv in one barrage and we only launched our old rockets in the last campaign," Sinwar said. "We shook Tel Aviv — there are a lot of things hidden from the public."

Sinwar also addressed the recent Trump administration-brokered normalization agreements signed between Israel and Arab countries. "Arab leaders made Tel Aviv the direction of their prayers. We turned it into a rag," he said.

More than 4,000 terror rockets were launched at Israel from the Hamas-ruling Gaza Strip over a week and a half although most of them were directed at southern Israeli towns. The lion’s share of rockets targeting Tel Aviv and the surrounding areas were intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system.

Having painted a BIG X on his back for the Mossad. The soon to be EX Hamas chief, Yahya Sinwar went on to admitted to his groups Terrorist actions. Like launching weapons and attacks from schools, apartment buildings, News Group locations, religious/holy locations and violations of the numerous Mid-East Peace agreements.

WHAT IS A ROCKET? It seems any airborne explosive is now a "rocket" for the media seeking headlines. So I have to wonder how many were just common military Mortar Shells vs. the $825 cheap Qassam types.

In other News the Harris/Biden Administration State Department has committed $150 million to rebuilding their self destroyed villages and weapon stockpiles.

WONDERING OUTLOUD
Using the typical rule of thumb for middle-foreign funds.A ##% will go to various foreign political Leaders, ##% to various militant groups, the people will get a smaller ##%. An about 5% will somehow find its way back to DC related pockets via shells and "donors".

STRANGELY
The American Jewish community leaders continue to voice support for the US Socialist-Democrats.

Fatah calls to ‘defend Jerusalem… confront the march of the extremist settlers’
”Pay attention to MEEEEE!!!
[IsraelTimes] Fatah calls its members to mobilize to confront a planned Jewish nationalist march through Jerusalem’s Old City on Thursday.

The Paleostinian political party tells its cadres "to stand together effectively, to defend Jerusalem and the Islamic and Christian holy sites, and to confront the march of the krazed killer settlers."

Fatah has suffered criticism in Paleostinian domestic circles in recent weeks. Its leadership, including PA President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
...aka Abu Mazen, a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial. While no Yasser Arafat, he has his own brand of evil, just a little more lowercase....
, have been attacked as ineffectual in opposing Israeli policies in Jerusalem, which Paleostinians hope to see as the capital of their future state.

Its main rival Hamas, a regional Iranian catspaw,, meanwhile, has seen a boost in popularity following the recent mini-war between the terror group and Israel. Hamas claimed the thousands of rockets it fired at Israeli cities and towns were a response to Israeli actions in Jerusalem, especially on the Temple Mount holy site.

In first, Israeli F-35s train in Italy — with Iran in their sights
[IsraelTimes] Advanced stealth fighter jets take part in exercise alongside Italian, US, UK pilots in their largest, farthest-away drill yet.

Six Israeli F-35 stealth fighters landed in Italia last week to take part in a two-week air exercise in Italia with its air force, alongside those of the United States and United Kingdom, in the largest and farthest drill that the aircraft have taken part in to date, the military said Sunday.

Though the explicit goal of the exercise is to improve the overall capabilities of the F-35 jet, which entered military service in late 2016, a senior Israeli Air Force officer acknowledged that in part, this drill — dubbed Falcon Strike 2021 — was meant to prepare Israeli pilots for using the fighter aircraft against Iranian forces.

"Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
is in our focus," the senior officer said, speaking to news hounds on condition of anonymity.

The exercise will be held from June 6 to June 17, but will kick off in earnest on Monday. Though Israeli F-35 jets have taken part in international exercises in the past, this will be the first time that the aircraft will fly alongside F-35 planes from three other countries.

The Israeli F-35 fighter jets will take part in two sorties each day. In the first, the Israeli planes will fly with the Americans, while in the second they will fly with the British and Italian air forces.

During these missions, the Israeli pilots will simulate Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s on targets behind enemy lines and ground support missions, while flying over unfamiliar terrain.

In addition to facing off against surface-to-air missile threats, the Israeli jets will also take part in aerial dogfights.

These exercises are meant to improve the capabilities of the F-35 fleet as well as the Israeli Air Force’s ability to operate with foreign militaries, according to the officer.

The IAF received its first F-35 fighter jets in December 2016 and has been adding more of them to its fleet in groups of twos and threes in the interim four and a half years up to its current level of 27 planes. Another 23 F-35 jets are due to arrive in Israel by 2024 to fill the IDF’s current order of 50 aircraft, though Israeli officials have said they plan to purchase more.

#1  ...What's interesting here is that the Israeli -35s are actually quite different from the Allied birds. The Israelis insisted on putting their own electronics into their aircraft, and the result is thay are more capable - and a couple orders of magnitude more nasty - than everybody elses. The fact that they're practicing with (and likely against) Fifth Gen aircraft with superbly trained and capable pilots is also intriguing - because their enemies have nothing like them.

As far as we know, anyhow.
