Afghanistan
Taliban: Coronavirus ‘a Decree of Allah - Because of the Sins of Mankind’
[BREITBART] The Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
, which considers itself the legitimate government of Afghanistan, released a statement on Wednesday urging Afghans to "recite effective prayers" against the Chinese coronavirus
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
, calling it a "decree of Allah."
They don't feel stupid like we do.
The Taliban has also repeatedly lobbied the Afghan government to release its Taliban member inmates, citing the possibility that they are a high risk of contracting the virus in the closed quarters of a prison.

Voice of America, noting the impact that the coronavirus pandemic has had on ongoing negotiations between the Taliban and the U.S. government, which mediates on behalf of Kabul, relayed part of a Taliban statement. The Taliban urged followers to pray for an end to the pandemic and lamented the virus as a "decree of Allah ... because of the disobedience and sins of mankind or other reasons."

Pakistain’s Daily Times translated a longer portion of the statement that showed the group appeared to posit the theory that the virus was a punishment as merely one potential explanation.

"Our Moslem nation must consider this disease a decree of Allah (SwT) and deal with it in accordance with the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PTUI!)," the Daily Times translation read. "As per the directives of scholars ‐ people should recite effective prayers and astaghfar (seeking forgiveness) frequently, increase the reading of the Holy Koran, give in alms and charity and turn to Allah (SwT) in repentance for their past sins."

In attributing the disease to a supernatural cause, the Taliban appears to be dissenting from the theories posed by other jihadist groups, particularly the government of Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
and its allied Iran's Houthi sock puppets
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him...
movement in Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
. The Shiite groups have accused enemy forces, typically the United States or "Zionists," of creating theTaliban: Coronavirus ’a Decree of Allah ... Because of the Sins of Mankind’ Chinese coronavirus in a laboratory, echoing false statements from the Chinese Communist Party.

Iraq
US commitments in Iraq ‘remain the same’ despite base transfer: coalition spokesperson
[Rudaw] US commitments in Iraq remain the same despite the transfer of a key military base to Iraqi security forces last week, US-led coalition spokesperson Colonel Myles B. Caggins III told Rudaw on Thursday.

"The coalition will continue to be partnered with Iraqi Security Forces. We will see that partnership in the future from fewer locations with fewer people, but our commitment is the same," he said on Thursday night, adding that the transfer occurred due to the success of Iraqi forces in the ongoing fight against Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS).

The handover of al-Qaim base, in Anbar province, marked the "first step of a US troop withdrawal from Iraq," an Iraqi military official told Rudaw on Thursday.

Al-Qaim has been used by coalition troops since 2017 to train and advise Iraqi forces to combat the Islamic State group (ISIS).

Caggins insists the US will continue to work with Iraqi forces despite their reduced numbers, citing ongoing cooperation in light of the March 11 rocket attack on Taji military base, which killed two Americans and one Briton.

"We do not know who conducted the attacks on Taji military base. But our partners here..are sharing information as they hunt for the terrorists. The Iraqis assured the American leadership that they will take action."

Troops previously stationed at al-Qaim will be relocated across Iraq, Syria and the US, according to the spokesperson. A number of troops will be sent to Syria’s Deiz ez-Zor province- where ISIS was defeated exactly a year ago.

However,
Switzerland makes more than cheese...
the terror group is still active, Caggins warned.

"ISIS is not down and out. The threat still remains in some areas along the mountains, in Makhmour and Hamran, as well as some desert areas in Anbar," he told Rudaw.

"ISIS cannot hold physical territory because of the success of the Peshmerga, and the Iraqi security forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces. We are leaving al-Qaim because Iraqi security forces have proven to be effective in protecting that region," he added.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Head of Lebanese military court steps down over Amer Al-Fakhoury’s release
[ALMASDARNEWS] The head of the Lebanese Military Court, Brigadier General Hussein ’Abdullah, announced on Friday his decision to step down from this position after he issued a ruling that dismissed the criminal case against the former head of the infamous Khiam Prison and member of the Israeli-backed South Leb
...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
Army, Amer al-Fakhoury.

The Lebanese website "Lebanon Debate" quoted ’Abdullah as saying:

"Out of respect for my oath and the honorary military, I am resigning from the presidency of the military court in which the application of the law equals the escape of a client, the pain of captives and the treason of a judge."

In response to the release, many people organized a protest in front of the military court, at the invitation of the Prisoners and Editors Representatives Authority, while others cut roads in different cities with burning tires.

In its ruling, No. 515/2020 issued last Monday, the court announced that the crimes against Fakhoury in terms of torturing prisoners in 1998, had passed the ten-year time frame, and decided to release him immediately unless he was arrested in another case.

Despite the decision to prevent the travel Fakhoury, sources told al-Mayadeen TV that "an American military plane landed near the American embassy in Awkar, where the agent Amer al-Fakhoury is," noting that "the plane took off minutes after it landed in the vicinity of the embassy."

Trump Thanks Lebanon after Fakhoury Returns to U.S.

[AnNahar] U.S. President Donald Trump
...dictatorial for repealing some (but not all) of the diktats of his predecessor, misogynistic because he likes pretty girls, homophobic because he doesn't think gender bending should be mandatory, truly a man for all seasons......
has confirmed that former Khiyam Prison warden Amer Fakhoury was released Thursday to the United States, where he is a naturalized citizen.

Trump said that Fakhoury, a former member of the Israeli-backed South Leb Army militia who was detained on his return to Beirut in September, was suffering late-stage cancer. He added that Fakhoury "will now be able to receive the much needed care and treatment in the United States."

"We've been working very hard to get him freed. He's finally able to have his entire family at his side," Trump told news hounds at the start of a daily news conference on the coronavirus
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
pandemic.

"The United States has no higher priority than the safety and well-being of our citizens," he said.

"I'm very grateful to the Lebanese government. They worked with us," Trump added.
